September 30, 201411 yr Member I basically only watch for Bobby and Sue Ellen and of course John Ross. But none of his relationships have particularly interested me as I find Elena boring and Pamela/Emma hit or miss. Its the actor that saves the character IMO

September 30, 201411 yr Member I watch for Bobby and PamBecca/John Ross Pamela & John Ross are truly JR & Sue Ellen lol
October 1, 201411 yr Member I'm seriously only watching for John Ross, Rebecca, Momma Ryland, and to a lesser extent Emma.

October 3, 201411 yr Member They miscast every single lead role and at times seemed actively ashamed of the original show. They were lucky to get 3 seasons. At least they made Larry Hagman's last few years happy.

There was a lot of good in the new show but a lot of bad......bad casting....like you said...the mexican cartel.....Elena who never existed in the original show...and Ann and her family...if Pam was not going to be on the show they should have had Jenna married to Bobby and not grandmother Ann.
October 3, 201411 yr Member Its all over Twitter and already 2000 FB posts upset with the cancellation and people hoping another cable network picks it up.

October 3, 201411 yr Member Larry Hagman and JR was the only thing keeping it going after the first season I think. The ratings dropped quickly after his funeral episode and never picked up. If it weren't for such dreadful casting I think it could have lasted much longer.

Yeah......his funeral was the last big ratings grabber....the show went south with his death and the Mexican Cartel mess and Elena and her family....ugh....and Ann and her family....blah
October 3, 201411 yr Member I remember being so excited to hear it was coming back and hoping it'd be good. Which it wasn't, of course. Occasionally, I would be entertained but, as soon as it was over, I would literally forget to watch the next episode. I stuck it through all the way through the end of season 2 but, by that point, I knew there was no hope whatsoever. When they revealed Pamela's fate, I knew they did not understand the love and care I had for this show at all & thus was done. I will say this: I did like Josh Henderson and thought he could have been dynamite under better writing.
