I totally agree! I hate this joker to.He seems to really enjoy hurting people and that's sick. I would like to see everyone that's he has hurt gather together and and give this weasel a taste of his own medicine.Just once just once I would like to see him squirm.

Abby is so stupid. Of course when you act as "The Naked Heiress" people are going to think that's how you're like.

Katherine, sit your ass down, please.

Lauren is acting like Nick and Victoria when they first meet Adam. Micheal's testimony is making Jill look like sympathetic and Lauren into a selfish brat (the smug look on her face doesn't help)

It takes Nina, Cricket, and Paul decades to find the long lost child and it takes Chloe less than six months to do so.

Wow, really? How big of you, Victor! But stealing the baby from Sharon -- no, that's the last straw!

Maybe if Ashley was a dumb, young, hot thing like Sharon she people would care.

Is it me? I remember Adam tentatively holding out the hand of friendship and getting smacked down by Victoria, Nick and Phyllis in short order. I remember the Vic/Nick/Phyl/JT posse ganging up against Pipsqueak at Crimson Lights. I also distinctly remember CE's Adam asking Victoria if she and her family ever wondered about the half-brother they had living on the farm. Victoria coldly told him that, since Hope had always been viewed as an obstacle to Nikki and Victor getting back together, she and Nick rejoiced when Hope left town and took her baby with her. "We really didn't think of you at all" I believe were her words.

That was bad. When his Adam fired everyone I didn't feel sorry for them. It wasn't until he put Zapato in the kennel that I hated him a little. Muhney's Adam is loved for being sarcastic, but Engen's Adam was sarcastic too. I remember this quip "Your just a rent a cop in a nice suit".

See, if CE were still in the role, I do think TIIC would find it much harder for anybody to feel sympathy for the Newmans. MUCH harder.

If CE were still in the role, Adam would be gone by now.

Do you think they purposely made John Driscoll look like sh!t today so fans will not miss him when he's gone?

Ronin sucks. Doesn't help that I hate Jeff Branson & his droll line delivery.

I hate Heather.

Liked the Jill/Lauren stuff sorta. Team Jill, of course.

Christine is still annoying. Why must they have her kissing Paul? I do NOT want to see Nina & the Bug do battle over Dudley Do-Right Sr.

It's really, really, reallllllly lame that Daniel has moved on from Amber to Abby, who's basically Amber 2.0. For Pete's sake, they're even using PORN to introduce them as a couple. Are you freaking kidding me?

Chloe is pretty without makeup.

That is all.

So they actually had a montage to Hallelujah? How derivative can you get?

The really odd thing is the song didn't exactly fit what was happening. blink.gif That montage was a huge WTF to me.

I just want to see what lame ass way Maria is going to redeem Adam. Cause there is no way in hell she can!

Are we really sure she's trying to? If so, having Adam sue Ashley for mental anguish is a strange way to go about it. I mean, damn. He's having mercy on Sharon because little Adam is fond of her, but he's dragging a very vulnerable Ashley through the mud. Not exactly the action of a hero. Really Ashley has had to mourn the loss of two daughters thanks to Adam. First the baby that died and then the loss of Faith. It's two completely different losses, which I don't think the writers have allowed Ashley to address or flesh out.

All showing Hope did for me was prove that Adam had no real reason to go off the rails the way he did. I did like seeing her though and I think MM did well in their scenes.

I believe it was Sharon Case who said that Adam's relationship with Sharon was going to be his redemption.

There's some stuff going around that Christine will be sticking around on a long-term basis and will get romantically involved with Nick.

I'm really glad I stopped watching this mess. I miss the characters I used to love, but under this writing team, I just can't bear to watch them anymore.

If nothing else this tells us that the show finally noticed how sick fans were of the eternal triangle. I guess this will be a reprieve. I wonder if they will use this to start up the Phyllis/Christine stuff again. Can't you see them revealing the hit and run and then dropping it after a week.

The Hallelujah montage is just the latest of "Look we're going to be clever by doing what everyone else already did and did better." Which makes up most of Y&R these days.

I think they are going to try to straddle the line with Adam, he's never going to look too sympathetic because of Nick and Victor, but they might use the opportunity to try to make people forget the specifics of what he did to Ashley.

I hate to ask, but have Lauren and Joanna always been this dysfunctional?

  • Member

For the most part.

They have occasional moments of affection but for the most part that's about it.

I've always wondered why Joanna never turned out to be a bigger character on Y&R, given Susan's popularity at DAYS and Bell's likely fondness for SSH (he did offer her the lead role on B&B ). Was she not popular with fans, or did she not want any type of major role on Y&R?

I didn't even know Lauren had a mother for most of the time I regularly watched Y&R. By the time she returned I was back to infrequent watching.

She never really got popular.

She was mainly liked cause SSH is a good actress & she was attached to Lauren (who was very popular).

Bill made a mistake not investing more in her & Neil (Jim Storm).

Yes! I loved Joanna on today's episode. Very classic Y&R!
