Haha let me guess, the OLTL ones are a test to see if some of the fan faves could gel on other shows if when OLTL is cancelled?

You know I love to hate on OLTL but I really think this is an attempt to strengthen the ABCD brand across all three shows. Besides what would people be saying if OLTL characters weren't featured?

Thank goodness Jesse and Angie have Starr Manning to teach their worthless asses what's important. -_-

I thought the Sonny/Erica episode was awesome! Very cleverly written, love how Sonny and Erica bonded over having children that didn't accept them at first. Dante and Sonny are the same as Erica and Kendall were in the beginning: At odds with one another.

LOL @ Todd calling Spinelli, "Spaghetti" LOL!! That one was great also. As for Ryan/Carly, Cameron Mathison and Laura Wright have a lot of chemistry with one another, WOW. That one was alright, but I HATE that Rylee is being pushed in it.

The sonny/erica one was painful. MB underacting, SL overacting...

Todd/Spin was funny, nice to see both were in character and not changed to fit this.

Carly & Ryan acted 15. Fitting, cuz they do on their shows as well.

They are all either in an elevator or on a plane, i think.

I agree, it could use some more locations. Maybe a budget issue? But then again why couldnt they just use some of the sets gh/amc have since they filmed in LA?

I know Frank V is directing, but who is writing these?

I liked the Erica/Sonny one. They actually have some chemistry as does Carly/Ryan.

The Todd/Spinelli one was HILARIOUS.

Frank Valentine did a good job directing.

I like them so far.

Sonny/Erica: This was the first time I've been able to watch MB without giggling. I just kept waiting for Erica to call him Nico. Two complaints: 1.) bad idea to have Sonny get on the elevator and immediately start manhandling Erica, the rape survivor. Any guy coming at me like that is going to end up with a ruptured larynx and my car keys in his eyes and; 2.) Erica's hilbilly wedding dress.

Spinelli/Todd: Todd Manning is exactly the type of seat mate I like on planes. And I love TSJ, I really do but something about the way he plays Todd is just two beats shy of a Logo show. The hand holding, the way he got his face so close to Spinelli, I'm utterly shocked they didn't start making out. It was a set up out of a porn movie.

Ryan/Carly: Annoyed me so much I never made it past the first 60 seconds.

I know Frank V is directing, but who is writing these?

I thought it was funny when Erica asked Sonny what exactly it was that did for a living and he said "coffee importer." :lol:

I just found that to be hilarious for some reason.

Agreed, I think Blake became a woman who learned from her mistakes and grew up. I too wanted them to be the core couple after the Tori thing, as a matter of fact, around Wheeler after Simon left I wanted them to move into the Bauer house..( I would have Blake say that this is the closet thing she knew as a home )SORAS the kids, and bring Sam back..Dinah would have a very contentious relationship with her, as she would be jealous of Ross and Sam's relationship, and Blake and Dinah would have that tension (ya, know cause she killed his brother) it would be a core family that had some fissures leading to good drama. But now, Wheeler and company though the Coopers should be the core.

BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread

Agree that great minds can think alike :)
In terms of Derek, I see the show doing one of two things based on the most recent episodes that featured him.
1) They do the gradual fade-out of the character until he stops appearing and is occasionally mentioned by Jacob (i.e. still living and existing in town, just not being seen). We saw some evidence with him having a group of co workers he's friends with, plus a female co worker interested in him... so possibly we see him regain his walking and go back to his life with the Fire crew and eventually we stop seeing them on air.
2) His mentioning to Jacob that he hopes to win Ashley back signals that perhaps the dark side we saw glimpses of has been hidden and will rear itself if she appears to be moving on with a new guy.
In terms of Ashley, the show seems committed to keeping her character on the show especially since she was shown in the Thanksgiving episode having a quiet day with Jan and Mona as they discuss Black Friday shopping, food, and other day to day matters... so I think delving into her backstory in terms of who her father is would be a good place for the show to go while keeping her as a good friend to Naomi, Shanice, and a good nurse during medical stories.
Perhaps one of the children of the handsome new doctor could be her love interest down the line.

Re: 1978. I'm glad the unedited version of the episode complete with commercials is available. The one that has been posted several years ago had several segments missing. I like Barbara's long hair here. Dr. Steven Farrell didn't last very long I take it since she is re-connecting with Tom (Tom Tammi) by 1979. The actor playing Steven (Phil Peters) was the real-life husband of Lenore Kasdorf (Rita GL).

Oh, how I wish we'd gotten to see Ross deal with his teenage sons. I loved his relationships with Phillip and Sam, but he really deserved to be seen with his own kids (other than the horror that became Dinah). The boys simply disappeared off canvas after either the Nursery Stalker or the affair with Tori.

What I liked about Bloss is that I liked how they grew to be the stable couple- the closest to an Ed and Mo in their prime. Especially after the Tori story when their extra-marital exploits were in the past. I wanted them to SORAS the three kids, along with Dinah and with Phillip's family as Ross's extended family would really be solid core family material.
With that said, I was rooting against Bloss in 1999 as I really liked the Ross/India pairing-- but that just turned out to be a waste of MKA.

They did actually resolve who shot Austin over a year later (it was Cyrus, as part of his hasty exit story). That was a last minute save though clearly when they forgot lol.
