Kelly Sullivan was the runner up for Phyllis and she didn't get it.

Thank God she is too young. Sorry I couldnt buy her as Trey's mom on GH. I wouldnt have bought her as Daniel'ss mom on YR

Lynde was "let go" from Y&R? I thought she quit.

I think it was a mutual, not all that pleasant parting.

Janice Lynde was offered a role on Love of Life soon after being let go from Y&R, but had "had it" with soaps.

That was until AW came calling lol

In 1979 when OLTL was recasting Samantha after Julie Montgomery left, the soap approached Elissa Leeds but she turned it down to do a sitcom with Dorothy Louden which was quickly canceled after it hit the air. OLTL then cast Susan Keith as Samantha who was let go 13 weeks later when Julie Montgomery wanted to return.

Apparently Danielle Fishel auditioned for a part on B&B in the early 2000s

I remember reading years ago that Terry Lester auditioned for Snapper on Y&R in 1975 after William Gray Espy left the show. He joined the show in 1980 as Jack Abbott.

In 2001 Days wanted to bring back Eric & asked Jensen Ackles who declined. The show then tested various actors including AMC's Shane McDermott (Scott Chandler, 1995-96) but ended up not bringing Eric back at that time.

Ross Petty got cast as Eddie Dorrance but was replaced by Warren Burton.

Con Roche had been Rick Ryan on ATWT,Never understood why he wasn't brought back when his sister was on the show for over 30 years.

Lauren Woodland was close to getting Annie on AMC.

Her, Erin Hershey Pressley, and Erin Torpey were up for recast Courtney on GH before they decided to kill her off, Torpey being the front runner.
