I think Alan shot Phillip because he'd planned to take all the Spaulding grandchildren. (Plus Rick's son with Harley..)

Iris lied about having a son that Carly supposedly murdered. Iris grew to resent Ray and by extension Carly, so to free herself, she made him believe their child died, and blamed Carly for it. (what a twisted psychopath, btw...Carly was supposed to be 12 at the time..)

I always wondered what happened to them. We were suppose to conclude that James kidnapped them but we were never told. Sam and Kirk wore out their welcome with me long time ago.

I loved Kirk. Sam, I never cared about her once they fired Brooke Alexander.

Funny they introduced Georgia, Sam's daughter right as Kirk and Sam "vanished". I seem to recall Lucinda suspected Georgia of having something to do with it before people gave up searching for them. We were suppose to believe than James had them kidnapped and possibly killed. Both Kirk and Sam had been ruined as characters by that point anyways. Georgia's presence may have opened story for them but even she was gone within what two years?
