Feel the same way. I'm kind of obsessed with RHOM at the moment, and cannot wait to watch each new episode. The cast is a good mix of pre-established and new relationships, so we are not sure how some people will gel with others. And the stories have me intrigued. The only one not understanding the assignment is Larsa. I don't hate her on the show, but I often forget she's there, and that's not good.

The Adriana-Julia-Martina triangle is officially my fave SL thus far.@Faulkner touched on the idea that Adriana might be the OC Tamra to Julia's Fernanda -- I.e.: that she is playing up a flirtation for the cameras. Could well be, but Julia is starting to REALLY get into it, and Martina is not pleased about that at all. And I honestly cannot see Martina doing some acting routine on a reality soap. Her reaction of antipathy to Adriana and sympathy towards Guerdy felt 100% real. MN is just not the type of person to bother hiding or faking her feelings for TV.

Adriana has become the villainous vixen of the show, and I'm ok with that. I thought her jumping down Guerdy's throat was out of line, as was her annoyance and misreading of Julia and Guerdy bonding over their lost babies. I do think there might be some truth to Guerdy liking to be center of attention, but that's what makes Guerdy a fun, dramatic, OTT kind of personality. She brings it and fits the cast well.

Appreciated Alexia keeping it 100 with the audience and saying that Herman's lover just was not comfortable appearing on camera and talking about the relationship.

Nicole hasn't gelled as quickly as some of the other cast but I think she's getting there. I had no idea she was half-Cuban-Puerto Rican, and we are starting to see some organic family drama come into play.

I wish we would see and hear more of Kiki. I feel like she hasn't established herself in my mind yet as being part of this cast.

Overall -- can't get enough of this show!

Candiace trolling Andy on Twitter like no currently-employed RH I have ever seen:

Larsa also had THE reaction shot of the episode when Julia started covering Adriana's face in kisses.

Marysol is so funny and relaxed as a FOH this season (a big difference from S3). I love her on the reboot. She seems happier and a lot less anxious. Her Greek Chorus grounds the show.

I'm missing Adriana's original hair the most. She's aged and gained weight on her face, but I think she'd look more like her original self if she didn't have that awful two-tone dye job. She looks better in her VT, so lack of glam may be a part of it. I don't think Adriana has the money Alexia and Guerdy have for their looks. In fact, I think relative wealth may be a reason why Adriana and Marysol are FOHs this season, when they should be on the main cast.

And...some tea...looks like Garcelle's son is working for LISA VANDERPUMP at her Vegas restaurant.

If I didn't know better...I would say Garcelle and LVP are plotting. hehe.

For the most part, I felt like Mary did a good job of defending herself this week. I notice that there's quit a stir on twitter about her using Jennie's accent, but of course no comment about the blaccent that Jennie uses and the neck rolling whenever she talks to Mary. It's obvious what they're doing and I feel they'll likely win. There's only so many people Mary can fight against. Whitney has the nerve to say she can't have toxic friends, but her friend Sara from season one was at the Jan 6th riots. These racist republican women are just trying to push Mary out, who they never liked in the first place. Heather's anime comment was overlooked, her fetishizing Black men has always been overlooked. Their constant talking down to Mary is overlooked, but now that Mary speaks up she's dangerous, racist and scary. Hell, next week Jen, the criminal, is fighting Lisa, but they're scared of MARY?! They need to take down MARY, who has no criminal background? You can't convince me none of this is because she's Black.

RHOSLC

Looks like the Meredith-Mary alliance imploded Sunday night.

And Reality Teddi remains the weekly mouthpiece for my favorite ex-housewife Terri DiMarco. Like, WTF is this Breaking News? Are we still discussing S9 BH from 2019? Please stop, Tierra.

The birds coming home to roost for Porsha big-time. Every awkward question Porsha was trying to avoid on RHOA about her general messiness, Porsha's Family Matters keeps asking and asking.

Did Porsha jump up at Dennis's mom and then at Dennis? I personally think Dennis's mom should keep quiet and stay out of her son's breakup, but nevertheless. Wow.

I do think it will be knockdown drag out, but I feel Jen is FAAAARRRR from safe.

I don't like that Twitter is in shambles with people going to bat for Mary (as they should IMHO), but I know given Mary's ability to read people like a Scripture...she expect her to read THE WHOLE BIBLE on those girls. And that I can't wait for.

Ugh, I am SO behind on this thread (Christmas vacation and now the dreaded return to work!) but I love that you resurrected The B&W for this year! I'm on board with everything you said.

I'm still playing catch-up on this thread, but I 100% agree that RHOSLC has become SO alliance-based so quickly, and Aunt Lydia (I forget Lisa's nickname, so I'm going with a Handmaid's Tale reference, ha) is the sloppiest puppeteer master I have ever seen. It's actually hilarious how bad she is at covering her tracks.

You know I cannot stand Terri DeMarco, and a huge EYE ROLL to all her efforts to remain relevant to get back on TV. #Gurlbye.

It really does seem to be a big clusterfu*k on how to repair RHONY. There's many directions they could go, in terms of axing some and bringing back ex-housewives, or trying with a brand new crop. Precarious situation indeed.

RHOBH is indeed the most entertaining but also the one you love to hate since the Coven Crowd is so despicable. Thank the Bravo heavens for Garcelle and Sutton!

RHOC has improved from last season for sure, but the jury is still out for me. Much like RHOSLC, it started out strong, but now I'm sitting back wondering how all these newbies and fractured "friendships" (i.e. Shannon and Heather are on the same show again, so let's pretend we randomly want to repair this old friendship... right....) are going to mesh together. The plastic surgeon woman with her perpetually shirtless hubby seems to be on her own island.

Okay, back to playing catch-up. I have thoughts about Miss Meredith over in Salt Lake City and this past week's show....

    • I was a bit confused with the Paige storyline at first but it's also helped that people on the board have been so kind to fill in gaps for me. It is nice to have a soap to watch again as I have not watched a soap in a very long time. It's also rare to see characters talk to each other without the scenes being cut into every 90 seconds.   That's encouraging. So far so good.    I am going to miss Raven as she added so much. I hope this doesn't mean that I'll see less of Geraldine as she is another character I'm drawn to. Hope Raven's absence is not a long one.
    • @Ryanc2 Welcome -you've got a lot of catching up to do! We talk about Derek/Ashley, but how much do we really know about Naomi/Jacob apart from they have a bedroom set to make out in? Maybe more time needed to be spent in the first months establishing them better-(give them a proper set for a start) as well as the Bill/Ted dynamic and other familial relationships and ditch Hayley/Derek altogether or make them supporting/talk to for Jacob/Naomi.
    • I’m glad we’ve spent enough time with the character to know how shed Brooke Logan her way through this.
    • Felicia becomes more layered/balanced in the early 90s (circa 1991/1992/1993).   She leans more into the more down to earth element that you like, while still being Felicia of the 80s.  The process starts in 1989.. but doesn't really become apparent until the early 90s.   Iris was the rare connector character with her having a role at the hospital (I think she's on the board), working at Cory Publishing, and having romantic flirtations/connections with a lot of the male characters between 1988 and 1994.  Which resulted in her having interactions with the other female contemporaries (Donna, Felicia, Rachel) even if the three didn't always interact with one another. Writing her off in the fall of 1994 severed one of the main connections/bridges with the different orbits.  Irony that the show didn't see her value.
    • Which is why I feel that when they do introduce that family it will more than likely be Jacob's family. Otherwise why establish them slowly but surely?
    • ROFL.  priceless.   There are also countless mentions how wonderful Claire is, but I could not stomach watching a compilation of that!
    • The air...is looooooooooong gone.
    • From what I remeber reading, it seemed as if it all completely falls apart post-Labine and Mayer around a year later when Ben is sent to prison around June 1976. Ben's departure undoes one of the major story threads that had carried the show for many months. Without a catalyst of Ben's ilk in the wings, there wasn't much to carry either story for the two women (Betsy and Arlene). Arlene was briefly paired in a one-sided attraction with Ray before becoming involved with Ian Russell. I believe the Schneiders introduced Ian as a suave businessman interested in Arlene who was also considering a dalliance with Meg. That would have been delightful but Upton arrives and quickly shifts the narrative to Arlene as a kept woman / prostitute (though I only think she was sleeping with Ian, but maybe I'm wrong).  I think it is Upton who transitioned Ben from complicated heel with a romantic appeal to a tortured, brooding romantic lead with a complicated past. I'm not sure that was the smartest move. Upton must have believed that Ben's near rape was his redemption arc, but I don't think it was enough. There is something deliciously wicked about Ben becoming involved with Mia after the death of Mia's stepson Jim Marriott, who had confessed his love for Mia before racing off on his motorbike and being hit by Ben's car. I could see the appeal, but I don't think it completely worked.  There should have been an angle involving Betsy (who had been a reporter I think when she first appeared) investigating Jim Marriott's accident, possibly with Jamie Rolins who was I believe district attorney. Betsy and Ben growing closer as Betsy grows closer to the truth. Ben confiding in Mia as Andrew continues to make Ben his surrogate son setting in motion the same dramatic situation with Andew's second wife being in love with his son/surrogate son.  I think Betsy and Jamie Rollins were together while Ben was in prison, but I don't think they had much to do. I may be wrong. Meg should have gone after custody making it seem like Jamie and/or Betsy were unfit leading to a case with social services which would have brought Diana Lamont back into the mix causing emotional angst for Diana as she works with Jamie to provide him the child she couldn't.  The Felicia / Eddie / Charles stuff seems rather generic once you get to Charles' paralysis and sexual dysfunction. Felicia's pregnancy and her death seemed to bring an end to a story that really wasn't strong enough to be frontburner. The Lynn Henderson stuff always seems rather movie of the week rather than developed for an ongoing story.  In the past, I agreed that it might have been possible that the story had become so disjointed that they needed to freshen up and add new story elements as Upton did but others have suggested that the elements themselves should have just been considered.   For example, I'm not a huge proponent of Rick and Cal as a couple, but I do think there was some mileage of actually reintroducing Barbara into the mix trying to reconnect with Hank, carrying a torch for Rick, causing conflict in the Sterlings marriage with Bruce and Van taking sides over Barbara vs. Cal, and Barbara maneuvering her way into the Beaver Ridge Complex making her business partners with Rick and Meg, which would give her a new rival.  When Ben returned, there should have been a question of how true his redemption was rather than just jumping in head first to a new role.  I think the Schneiders might have been script writers for Ann Marcus on "Search for Tomorrow," but I may be wrong on that.  Upton introduced the Marriotts in Janaury, 1977. Christian Marlowe's Andy Marriott seemed to be in the mold of Ben. I don't know if the story was any good, but I think Upton towards the end hinted an Andrew / Meg / Andy storyline which I thought would have been interesting. I think Upton had some interesting concepts, but from my understand, the execution was awful.
