I think La Dame would *love* for Gizelle to admit to the truths that Monique spilled and La Dame co-signed but without mentioning Monique's name since she's no longer on the show. So yeah, the "wishing death on Ray" spin is reminiscent of NYC's Kelly suddenly having an issue with Ramona during season 4 because of the Scary Island trip from Season 3, which also felt random AF.

But love 'em or hate 'em, the core four - The Grande Dame/Gizelle/Robyn/Ashley - are still the main draw of this series which I love. After 6 seasons, they don't feel stale. I will FOREVER side-eye ANYTHING Candiace says or does, Dr. Wendy is a wannabe oaf, and Mia is okay but too plastic for me (not to mention the voice sounds like a Kardashian clone).

I'm 100% Team Jennifuh but this left me

Re: Wendy, she is definitely trying to imitate a (whispery-voiced) Jen Shah. The problem is that Jen Shah is a pale imitation of somebody else -- pre-fraud Erika Girardi -- who herself is a pale imitation of a 1950s B-movie starlet. It is Xeroxed copy on top of Xeroxed copy on top of Xeroxed copy of an actual human being, someone who pours all their effort into this OTT fake image because they don't like their real selves.

It makes me sad that Wendy felt insecure about herself to this point. There was a moment in Sunday's episode where Wendy told Karen she overdid it with the Ray thing, and you know, she was right. It was a glimpse of the Wendy I would like to see more of -- she talked to Karen straight but kindly.

Next week, we see the GEBs using Wendy's personality transplant to go after her, and consequently, she will be defending her marriage from a position of relative weakness. Because now they've all noticed the new Wenday. "But now we said it!" etc.

Had to post this. Back in 2010, before she got the BH gig, Rinna and Harry Hamlin had their own reality show on TVLand called Harry Loves Lisa. Here they are hawking it on Today with Hoda and Kathie Lee. And suddenly a call comes in during the interview that their clothing store "in the Valley" (thanks Kathie Lee) is being robbed.

Hoda and Kathie Lee's faces are priceless. They really are not feeling them.

The Real Housewives of New York City:

  • Ramona, when not acting like Ramona, could work well as a real estate agent... if she's not assaulting those interrupting her... but now she's talking a bit too much.
  • Sonja's date may be a match... but does not seem to be Sonja's technical type. Hoping it might work for her, though.
  • I love how supportive Eboni and Leah are of each other; that is a solid and true relationship.
  • do love that Sonja continues to be voice of solid reason among her, Luann and Ramona.
  • The host of this dinner ain't having Ramona's bullsh*t.
  • Sonja? An introvert? HAHAHAAHAHA. Those flashbacks of Sonja's backside were insane.
  • "She's converting. What are we? Learning. We're just learning." I love Sonja.
  • Ramona is tone deaf AF. She is really missing the complete point, and it's very disappointing.
  • DORINDA! WHAT WERE WE DOING HERE WITHOUT DORINDA!!!!!
  • Well other guests are sitting there wondering why TF they're there and what TF are they witnessing.
  • Producers ALWAYS shade Ramona with flashbacks this season... first with the ladies being late and then her lying about the non-eating thing.
  • The host is DONE. Like, she's ready to check TF out.

Seeing Dorinda on Watch What Happens Live makes me genuinely miss her... can we bring Dorinda back and remove Ramona, please? Jackie Hoffman is ICONIC. Dorinda does need to come back. She feels like herself again.

@Liberty CityAndy did say Dorinda was “on pause.” I think she’s definitely back. Either with herself or with Bethenny because Bethenny will want an ally.

This makes two weeks where WWHL was the highlight and not the episode. This is giving me Dallas flashbacks where the season has reached a point where it seems never ending yet nothing is going on. And another boring event hosted by Eboni?! My goodness. Luann is in Paris and we have all this talk of reunion filming being delayed which makes me think there’s a bunch more episodes and I can’t take it!

At least give us some more Bershan to inject SOME fun into things. This is just boring.

#La Comtesse was in Paris?? Her natural habitat? Production should be dispatched to France ASAP to film her every move (also, one-half of Victoria and Noel's extended de Lesseps family live over there). Then they could have screened it and I would have been salivating over the locations!

Haven't seen yesterday's episode but I'm feeling scared, lol.

I did see QuaranLeah insisting on being there via Zoom which...

After hearing Dorinda on Danny Pellegrino's podcast, there is little doubt in my mind that she will be back. She's definitely aiming for a kinder, gentler Dorin this time, but you realise how much she brings to the show.

And I can't believe I'm going to say this... I am going to deeply regret these words, I know it... but I guess bring Bethenny back as a Dorinda ally. As long as the show doesn't become The Bethenny Show, Sponsored by Skinnygirl (Also Starring Other Great Housewives We Edited Down to Make Room for Bethenny Narrating Everything). This is an ensemble cast and that's what I want to see.

I don’t want her back either, but I feel if they can they’ll try. Her HBOMax deal failed and she started talking about the show again, defending the current season and started interacting/following Sonja again. I’m just mentally preparing myself, but hopefully they can develop without her.

Agreed. The show needs a jolt, and if Bethenny's aspirations for something even greater are dwindling, she can always crawl back to RHONY. I haven't seen Dorinda on WWHL yet, but I'm glad to hear both parties (Bravo & Dorinda) are ready to resume things next season.

We finally watched last week's RHONY and I LOLed at Ramona/LuAnn busting Sonja's lies story about sleeping with the 25-year-old.

Side note: Although Leah should not have let the dog run around during filming of the Mariah Carey ripoff music video, as a daddy to two chihuahuas, I thought the little critter was precious

    • @Ryanc2 Welcome -you've got a lot of catching up to do! We talk about Derek/Ashley, but how much do we really know about Naomi/Jacob apart from they have a bedroom set to make out in? Maybe more time needed to be spent in the first months establishing them better-(give them a proper set for a start) as well as the Bill/Ted dynamic and other familial relationships and ditch Hayley/Derek altogether or make them supporting/talk to for Jacob/Naomi.
    • I’m glad we’ve spent enough time with the character to know how shed Brooke Logan her way through this.
    • Felicia becomes more layered/balanced in the early 90s (circa 1991/1992/1993).   She leans more into the more down to earth element that you like, while still being Felicia of the 80s.  The process starts in 1989.. but doesn't really become apparent until the early 90s.   Iris was the rare connector character with her having a role at the hospital (I think she's on the board), working at Cory Publishing, and having romantic flirtations/connections with a lot of the male characters between 1988 and 1994.  Which resulted in her having interactions with the other female contemporaries (Donna, Felicia, Rachel) even if the three didn't always interact with one another. Writing her off in the fall of 1994 severed one of the main connections/bridges with the different orbits.  Irony that the show didn't see her value.
    • Which is why I feel that when they do introduce that family it will more than likely be Jacob's family. Otherwise why establish them slowly but surely?
    • ROFL.  priceless.   There are also countless mentions how wonderful Claire is, but I could not stomach watching a compilation of that!
    • The air...is looooooooooong gone.
    • From what I remeber reading, it seemed as if it all completely falls apart post-Labine and Mayer around a year later when Ben is sent to prison around June 1976. Ben's departure undoes one of the major story threads that had carried the show for many months. Without a catalyst of Ben's ilk in the wings, there wasn't much to carry either story for the two women (Betsy and Arlene). Arlene was briefly paired in a one-sided attraction with Ray before becoming involved with Ian Russell. I believe the Schneiders introduced Ian as a suave businessman interested in Arlene who was also considering a dalliance with Meg. That would have been delightful but Upton arrives and quickly shifts the narrative to Arlene as a kept woman / prostitute (though I only think she was sleeping with Ian, but maybe I'm wrong).  I think it is Upton who transitioned Ben from complicated heel with a romantic appeal to a tortured, brooding romantic lead with a complicated past. I'm not sure that was the smartest move. Upton must have believed that Ben's near rape was his redemption arc, but I don't think it was enough. There is something deliciously wicked about Ben becoming involved with Mia after the death of Mia's stepson Jim Marriott, who had confessed his love for Mia before racing off on his motorbike and being hit by Ben's car. I could see the appeal, but I don't think it completely worked.  There should have been an angle involving Betsy (who had been a reporter I think when she first appeared) investigating Jim Marriott's accident, possibly with Jamie Rolins who was I believe district attorney. Betsy and Ben growing closer as Betsy grows closer to the truth. Ben confiding in Mia as Andrew continues to make Ben his surrogate son setting in motion the same dramatic situation with Andew's second wife being in love with his son/surrogate son.  I think Betsy and Jamie Rollins were together while Ben was in prison, but I don't think they had much to do. I may be wrong. Meg should have gone after custody making it seem like Jamie and/or Betsy were unfit leading to a case with social services which would have brought Diana Lamont back into the mix causing emotional angst for Diana as she works with Jamie to provide him the child she couldn't.  The Felicia / Eddie / Charles stuff seems rather generic once you get to Charles' paralysis and sexual dysfunction. Felicia's pregnancy and her death seemed to bring an end to a story that really wasn't strong enough to be frontburner. The Lynn Henderson stuff always seems rather movie of the week rather than developed for an ongoing story.  In the past, I agreed that it might have been possible that the story had become so disjointed that they needed to freshen up and add new story elements as Upton did but others have suggested that the elements themselves should have just been considered.   For example, I'm not a huge proponent of Rick and Cal as a couple, but I do think there was some mileage of actually reintroducing Barbara into the mix trying to reconnect with Hank, carrying a torch for Rick, causing conflict in the Sterlings marriage with Bruce and Van taking sides over Barbara vs. Cal, and Barbara maneuvering her way into the Beaver Ridge Complex making her business partners with Rick and Meg, which would give her a new rival.  When Ben returned, there should have been a question of how true his redemption was rather than just jumping in head first to a new role.  I think the Schneiders might have been script writers for Ann Marcus on "Search for Tomorrow," but I may be wrong on that.  Upton introduced the Marriotts in Janaury, 1977. Christian Marlowe's Andy Marriott seemed to be in the mold of Ben. I don't know if the story was any good, but I think Upton towards the end hinted an Andrew / Meg / Andy storyline which I thought would have been interesting. I think Upton had some interesting concepts, but from my understand, the execution was awful.
