POTOMAC

TAGLINES HAVE DROPPED...

MONIQUE:  You will never put me in a box because I'm the whole darn package.

GIZELLE:  Whoever said you can't have it all obviously hasn't met Gizelle.

CANDICE:  Life is a pageant and I'm in it to win it.

ROBYN: Life has its ups and downs, but my life is on the rebound.

KAREN:  I may have switched castles, but I am still reigning over Potomac.

ASHLEY: You may say that I cause trouble, I say I make things interesting.

I can't believe I'm actually excited for this show to return. They're all such triflin' posers (except Monique) but I can't help but watch. Poor sloppy Charriissee didn't make the cut!

Atlanta:

I loved the end of yesterday's episode when Kandi got fed up with Kim and started with her pissed-off-but-crying voice. Kim can NOT take it, but loves to dish it, and I cannot wait for her distorted face to get all flustered at the reunion.

I must admit, I felt for NeNe re: Uber rape joke incident. I never knew the instigator in the crowd was heckling her and told NeNe to kill herself. I can understand NeNe reacting without thinking first and clapping back with the distasteful joke. NeNe looked genuinely remorseful and ashamed, not just for camera and reputation-rebuilding purposes.

Excited about Potomac too -- even with drama, it pulls off the light moments. I also remember back to last reunion when Ashley was talking about her marriage problems, and all the HWs pretty much rallied around, knowing this was serious and real.

LOL I'm so pleased that the one person even more obsessed by Karen's 'grand dame' status than Karen herself has been downgraded to FOH. Charrisse was so focused on 'bringing her down,' it really reflected badly on her. I don't blame her for being obsessed, though -- I am too! As big a poseur as Karen is, I enjoy her by far the most. Looks like she is bringing it this season.

Re: ATL. I have been waiting YEARS for Kandi to finally confront Kim properly. That trifling, lying heffa used Kandi and threw her to the side when it came time to pay dues. Kim reaps the rewards of the work & creativity of others (often AAs) in an underhanded way, and quickly lawyers up. People get irritated when Kandi does her shaky-voice-cry but I understand it. Her anger reaches such a level that she has to cry. Kim keeping Kroy on standby while Kandi was talking to her was the worst. I hope she gets her ass handed to her at reunion but I heard she runs out of there too!

Sheree is such a non-entity. I keep forgetting she is on the show.

Kim clearly is here because she needs that check. She doesn’t even like the other ladies or even pretend to I feel like, so her coming back full time next season would just be stupid.

It seems Sheree forgot what happened to her the last time she was so hardcore anti-Nene. She lost her damn job.

Kim and Brielle went to a Kardashian party not so long ago (they documented it breathlessly on their Twitter) and elbowed their way into a selfie with their idols. They want to pretend they hang in the same circles as the Ks. On Sunday's WWHL, Kim also kept saying how much she 'loves' Kyle and LVP. I think the delulu one seriously thinks Bravo will move her, Kroy and the 17 feral children to LA so she can appear on BH?!

If Sheree wants to be hardcore anti-Nene, let her. If she loses her job, though, it's because she is boring as f with nothing to offer. A fake romance with Prisoner 1345875 who we never see is not a SL! And neither is Chateau She-Broke which 40 years later is STILL uninhabitable and un-paid-for.

    • His original motives were unclear and all we knew was that he was working for Iris. But when it was revealed that Evan was Janice's son we found out that he had fallen in with Iris not because he wanted to follow Iris specifically but because he had his own anti-Rachel agenda. Charles Grant had more charisma than the later recast Eric Scott Woods who seemed younger to me.
    • Throwing this out to the universe: finding Elisabeth Shue's episode of As the World Turns (which I guess would have been circa 1983, maybe just before RDJ started watching Search for Tomorrow).

    • I thought today was still good. Leo is always awful, but the characters treating him like he's a plague feeds my soul. Rafe in particular had been very passive about him, but today was wonderful seeing him put Leo on notice. I really think it's being written that Javi is going to have to eventually take the blinders off and see Leo for who he really is. Them having sex on Gabi's desk made me want to explode. Roman taking in stray Doug was nice to see. And the mention of Frankie and Max was unexpected, but good to know they're at least being thought of. Tate being petty and a bit vindictive by going back to Sophia's as soon as he saw Doug with Holly was entertaining for me. I think I actually like Tate the most out of all of them because he's so damn messy.  Is Holly about to be kidnapped? Her first time? Also, Gabi finally revealing what happened with her the night EJ was shot and the clearing of all the other main suspects, but Johnny made this still feel like an important episode. I think Johnny will be cleared soon enough leaving everybody at a loss for the hell shot EJ. How the real shooter will be revealed is going to be interesting.  Speculation: When Kristen finally puts together that her daughter Rachel shot him, she'll agree to frame her mother for the crime, while keeping her hidden away from Salem.
    • That would have saved the Anita singing segment -- having her by herself, singing quietly and reflectively. Belting it out like she was in church did not work. The black screens fade at the end was a mistake. BTG insists on being different with these fades for the sake of being different, and it's not working.   I thought all of that was just fine. Worked for me.   I'm going to disagree with this. Martin hasn't had many scenes with his parents, but he's been around family A LOT -- and that's what matters. We also know Martin is someone with a hair trigger response. He can be very emotional when discussing an issue before getting to the logic and reason of it all.
    • My view of Evan is that he's smart but not as smart as he thinks he is, not a good guy but not an entirely bad guy - he's a lot of things, the show never quite knowing what to do with them. I never saw him as Iris' follower because Iris always seemed a bit in over her head from the start.
    • She was the Town Historian, who knew a bit too much about Brandon and the infamous cottage.  SF was still a pretty normal place at that time, with Nola and Reva being the most outrageous citizens....seems that Carrie Pipper would have stood out a bit more for people.

    • Yes, I need to dot hat. Also on my list talking to the person I got these files from since they clearly have a mess, in terms of dates being wrong. And, unfortunately finding one date wrong, automatically means more are wrong, too.
