That's been claimed for many years, many say Kyle is an unofficial 'producer', but there's no evidence of that as far as I've seen. Now, that isn't to say that Kyle doesn't have sway with the folks at Evolution, and maybe she does, but I've never seen evidence of anything contractual.

Girls Trip is produced by a totally different production company, Purveyors of Pop, so if she has sway, it's long gone with these people and it's evident, based on this edit, that they cameramen and producers realize how painfully annoying Kyle is.

It will always be ALL STARS to me.

And like @Faulkner, I too hollered at GOOD-BYE KYLE being her most iconic moment and loved Lu's being 'Be Cool, not uncool.' And lol at us manifesting a RHOA HW going at it with a BH HW who all would drag EricFake.

She is. Nowhere for her trifling butt to hide now.   Get her, Kenya!!!

When the angry chihuahua slapped her husband's hands away, i literally gasped out loud. It feels like we got a glimpse into their home life. What a dysfunctional relationship, and I'm not sure how long Chris is going to put up with having to parent an angry baby while getting hit in return.

I don't blame Wendy for getting her own back at the Grumpy Evil Bandits, but having your period without access to a private bathroom is the worst, heh. Speakimg from experience. Interesting that, as sympathetic as Ashley and Askale were, no-one was ready to give up their en-suites to the two grumpy whomp-whomps.

Seeing Kenya outright irritated by Kyle was a thing of beauty. Finally a production team that isn't there to cast her in the best light. Even though I think Purveyors of Pop are a lousy production team. They did M2M and got Mariah kicked off the show in order to re-center it around Quad (a move nobody but Fraud was asking for).

Kyle may not have a producing contract, but she definitely wields power. She herself said that before every season, she invites the producers to a restaurant and they go through the upcoming season SLs. Ahem. Talk of a contract makes me wonder if Bethenny had one. She's always claiming credit for the hiring and firing of certain HWs on RHONY, and some SLs too.

I saw the RHOP aftershow and Candiace is still going on on Mia's "manly" hands and big feet. She better tread lightly bc this is reeking of transphobia and considering her controversy with LGBTIA last year, its not a good look for her

BH reunion sneak peak, and Kyle is at it again, walking that fine line between 'It's just a joke!' and 'I saved this evidence against you for reunion day.'

Erika's face throughout

Shes so bitter and has zero remorse for her bad behavior. Hurling more phobic insults at Mia's looks? She thinks it's cute. Her spoiled brat ass won't take accountability for anything, so I imagine she'll be doubling down at reunion.

My hope is that, while Bravo is clearly hoping for some brief, meme-able fireworks from her, she chooses substantive questions over flashy, rehearsed reads.

The situation with Candiace vs Ashley is underscored by the fact that Ashley is so amazingly effective in her pot-stirring. She is 100% in control when she starts something with Candiace, who is immediately triggered and flies off the handle. Because Ashley lives rent-free in her head. Candiace has no rationality when it comes to Ashley, and Ashley knows it.

OTOH, Ashley has every right to point out Candiace's pattern of verbal attacks, first against Ashley, and now against Mia. The fact is, Candiace has become deeply mean and angry, and it is infecting every interaction in her life. The constant threats are a problem. Remember Porsha's anger issues on RHOA? Kandi and Nene called it out at reunion and made it very clear that nobody would film with Porsha or offer her job opportunities unless she did something about that.

Why has nobody called Candiace out on her outsized anger? Gizelle referred to Candiace's 'garbage mouth' on WWHL last week, but I'm talking about the threats, not to mention the way she attempted to pummel her husband. I suspect it is because the GEBs and Ashley sit back and let Candiace's rage do all the work so they don't have to. Reunion would be a good place to raise these issues, and if the cast didn't want to really confront them, maybe Nicki did? (Cue Candiace bringing up Cardi B).

I was shocked when Nicki said she hosted for 3 hours. I wonder if they'll do a regular reunion and then the final part will be a Nicki hosted special without Andy. I expected her to come out and ask a couple questions and thats it.

Maybe it will be like some of the VPR reunions, where Andy has Nicki sitting on his left like he does with LVP, and she interjects and asks a few questions of her own.

Very brief clips from the new Melbourne.

I am a little worried about this Foxtel clip which features a kerfuffle over the proper glasses for champagne. *cue visions of S8 BH*

God bless Janet, lol.

I've seen disappointment on social media over the trailer. There are some people who want to skip directly to the Bluestone Manor instalment because the lineup there is so iconic.

I'll watch both. But LOL the trailer used a snippet of Melissa saying "Thank you Jesus" and it took me back to Melissa five nose-jobs prior (technically S3 RHONJ) when she was trying very hard to make that catchphrase happen. Trying and failing.

Originally Giselle was set for season 1 of the girls trip, but with covid...the producers went a different direction.

Giselle vs Kenya would have been hilarious..plus she doesn't like Ramona.   Sigh.

And Dina from NJ was smart to turn down season 2...best to keep her ready to go if there is a season 3

First of all -- who wanted Rinna to join?? LOL not the viewers!

(The irony of Rinna turning down All Stars because money/she's above this. In the unofficial RH pecking order, there is NO WAY Rinna is above Teresa, Ramona, Kenya, Luann or even Kyle. And when struggling-for-ratings E! issues a press release to assure its 7 remaining viewers that Lisa and the Hamlins will not be getting a reality show...

).

It also says a lot that even with Kyle on board, Bravo could not find another BH housewife to fill Rinna's spot. That doesn't say great things about the longtime core BH cast.

@Soaplovers Imagine how the dynamic would have changed if Bravo had added both Gizelle and Karen!

    • I'm inclined to agree with you and I loved her at Santa Barbara.
    • I haven't watched DAYS in years, so I have some questions for anyone who can answer them. Is the show actually acknowledging that Jeremy abused Stephanie?  The things he did to her back in 2007 were reprehensible.  I wasn't watching too much when that was happening, but I seem to remember that the show (at the time) didn't outright label him an abusive partner and instead acted like he was just badly behaved or something like that.  Could someone who was watching back then tell me how they remember it?
    • It also strangely happened while the story was airing. You had a gothic and spooky story that because it got eyeballs ended up being dragged out and turned into camp. Marlena starts talking to herself constantly with that voice, she’s strapped to the bed for a never ending exorcism, would almost die multiple times during the process, and then everyone would just leave her there with Caroline Brady sitting next to her holding a rosary. Reilly had the show so segregated that when Carrie found out what was happening in practically her next scene she was like I’m praying for Marlena. Now what are we going to do about Sami? I don’t know about anyone else, but I would probably stop my storyline for at least a couple of episodes and have to go see my stepmother that had a huge part in raising me floating around with those eyes in her beautiful penthouse. It was just so stupid, and when it started I didn’t necessarily agree with the story being told, but at least it was taken seriously.
    • Yes, I feel the same way. I get the reasoning behind hiring him. He was playing a very similar character on RH, and they were in a pinch. I also found his accent very distracting. But then, Bev also didn't sound like she was from Illinois, and it didn't bother me a bit. That said, I've always had a great deal of sympathy for the situation he was in. It's never easy to take over from someone popular with fans, and how the TPTB were always insisting he was coming back eventually was another issue. Hearing he was going through it in his personal life on top of that makes me even more sympathetic. I found the article where it mentioned he had worked on both soaps at the same time. This was written a while after he left the show. Interesting that he was open to returning and that fans were asking him about when Alan was going to get out of jail. To this day, I don't understand why they kept Alan off the canvas as long as they did. He should have been there in the thick of Roger's return (without the dumb attempt to kill him), especially while he was married to Alex. To me, Raines was lacking in a lot of qualities needed for Alan. I think he would have been a better Mike Bauer.  They took five years to bring Alan back, I think they could have found someone better. I don't think anyone is irreplaceable. Anyone who took over the role would have been different from Bernau. But somewhere out there was an actor who would have had the suaveness, intensity, and charm that IMO the character needed.

    • I did feel like JFP's Y&R was decent. Of all the recent HW/EP swaps, her period was very safe but watchable. Nothing spectacular but better than what we have now.
    • I don’t watch B&B but I did know about Heather and forgot her. I really don’t know anything about Lawrence. Do people like his scripts?   Yes she did! And I know she did double duty too, even if Bell slowly phased Julia out while she wrote for the show.
    • Well, you are the most ill-informed, condescending person on this board so I am glad you enjoy mocking me? Or whatever you are trying to do lol.  You literally can't comprehend the simplest things about the show and don't watch, but are literally shaming me for being a women?

One other side note, because now I've re-read 1993-1994.  I think that I found a ret-con issue. In 1993 after John finds out that Stefano is Kristen's father. It is not like I am claiming to have found nuclear fission, clearly mistakes happen.  But, I found this to be amusing. In 1993, Stefano becomes deadly ill, so Kristen tells John that she needs to be by her father's side, but not to worry about the deadly disease, because she's adopted.  Given, that I've always thought of Kristen as being adopted, until the more recent cannon that she is Stefano's biological child, it is interesting that in 1993, the week before Tony comes to town to announce that he is Kristen's fiancée.  Kristen is saying that she can't give blood to her dying father, because she was adopted.  So, the current reverse in cannon, neglects that detail. It is so funny to read this and then see Kristen and Tony in the crypt this week, 32 years later.  That's more than half the show's history at this point, amazing.
    • It was shuffled off the stove way before that. Think of the early summer stuff with Gio, Emma, and Dalton, which they basically dropped for weeks at a time, and then also put them on the back burner until recently.
