For me, it isn't about inviting Porsha back because she was justified. If they invite her back, it will be because they think there's potential in the Kenya vs. Porsha feud next season. If Kenya walks, then Porsha will probably be shown the door, sadly.

On another note -

Just watched the reunion a second time. Did anyone else think it was weird that when Andy went to see Kenya, we didn't see her in her dressing room? Andy also left her room very quickly and didn't really seem upset or concerned. Also, when he spoke to Porsha, she was wearing a different outfit and her hair looked different, as if it had all been filmed later or out of order. Not sure why they would do that, but it just seemed weird.

If Kenya leaves I wonder what they'll do. As we saw this past season, they auditioned several women and didn't find one cast member. It takes something specific to work for THIS show, as opposed to the others. I do like the suggestion of Victoria Rowell, but I'm not sure if she'll still in their radar. That's who they need. I believe the rumors of wanting Sheree back speak to the difficulty of casting for this show with so many other ATL shows going on.

My always changing season 6 cast is: Kenya, Nene, Kandi, Cynthia, Marlo, Sheree, Phaedra

I personally wouldn't include Phaedra again, but based on the reunion and WWHL, it seems Bravo and Phaedra are both fine with being on screen with Apollo's problems. I wouldn't add another new wife because this show doesn't need it. It has women already there capable of being slotted in. Marlo has a home to film in and actually lives in Atlanta. Plus she's friends with Kenya so Kenya gets a person to film with. Kandi and Marlo have also made up and been hanging out so that is another person Marlo can film with, Cynthia too. With Sheree there is no telling where she will land, but we know Sheree can bring it even in a two-bedroom section 8 apartment.

Of course this won't happen, but I'm interested in seeing where things go. For one, I KNOW Marlo won't be made a full housewife. I feel Nene will ban that, although she would be perfect.

ETA:

Something interesting in regards to RHONY is that Heather's blog states that Ramona using Aviva as an excuse for missing her party was just for the show. She said Ramona sent her flowers and text her the real reason and that she supports Ramona and completely understands her behavior around this time. My guess is that this is when the stuff with Mario started heating up.

Phaedra seemed like she didn't even care about Apollo. She said something to the effect that she had no idea what was going on and would be watching with the rest of us as if that's not her husband. She also sais "Hell no" when asked if she was his lawyer. Apollo's accomplice got sentenced to five years yesterday and he was her boss. He is going away for a long time. Phaedra will divorce him and play the betrayed wife next season. I might be here for it because she was boring this season..

RHNYC

Aviva...what a nutjob, but what an epic nutjob for this franchise. She is a delight in her single white female craziness. Her compulsions and hypocritical behaviour rocks each episode. We love to watch this brand of crazy don't we? Because it isn't dangerous like Kelly Bensimon...it is laughable.

The scenes with Heather and her husband and son when they found out about his ears? Authentic housewives at its best. That little guy has been through the ringer, as have Heather and Jonathan. Do I ever wish them well.

Carole bores me to be perfectly honest. But for this fight with Aviva I honestly don't know what she's got going for her on this show. The look on her face when Aviva whipped out the galley edition of her book was priceless. She was horrified.

Ramona, I think, was in the midst of Mario cheating on her when this was filmed because when she and Sonja were sorting out their conflict Sonja said "I guess you're just taking it out on me."

Speaking of Sonja...who I have always found enjoyable...girlfriend is delusional as hell. A crowd of 10,000 would come to see her in Mykonos? Bookings in Berlin and St. Tropez? I really don't think so. She doesn't see any of her ideas through. Harry, Ramona, LuAnn...all of whom like her, all said it to her face. Flipping out about that was defensive and stupid.

LuAnn...perfection. She is a housewife, she should be holding an apple. She is divine this season. Hell, the captions don't even refer to her as a friend of the housewives.

Kristin... Meh. She's pretty, but not adding much except being a punching bag for Aviva and Ramona.

But what a great season so far after the awful BH season we all endured.

AGREE with so much here (except that I love Carole!). Honestly, it makes me happy to watch RHONY right now. And LuAnn is bitchtastic perfection. Jacques (LuAnn: "Jahhhhhhhhhhh-kuh") unfortunately caught an attack of the uglies this season.

I think Kristen handled both Ramona and Aviva well.

Aviva seemed to snap out of her crazy personality when Kristen pointed out that people have told her she was crazy and she is just proving them right. I like that Kristen didn't need to get down and dirty, she just let Ramona and Aviva hang themselves.

    • Beverlee was on a whole other level from Kim. It's not like they were in competition with each other. I get the feeling that Kim had a slight problem with the super-professional, serious cast members who just wanted everyone to be prepared and do the work, as she seems to like having fun on set. (She's made a few cracks about Chris Bernau being like that). Bev was definitely one of those. But they didn't work together that much. Yeah, they made her manic and also much weaker. She always had a vulnerability, but wanting to kill herself over that guy? No way. Not only that, he didn't leave her! She insisted he marry Maeve. When they did the tribute to Bert/Charita, the compilation of scenes with her showed how much the cast had been completely decimated. Almost every shot was of her by herself because nearly everyone she had worked with had been fired, left or been replaced.

    • A little too much focus on Chad and Cat today but I enjoyed the episode. I have a feeling that Jennifer’s gonna get dumped on though, even though I think that her anger is completely understandable and justified. And honestly, Ron is finally gone; Abigail can come back now.  But, welcome back, Anna! It was nice seeing Carrie have scenes with her mother. Christie Clark and Leann Hunley have never really had that many scenes together and to see them have them now is really nice. I’m glad that both of them were there to comfort Marlena too. Their words were definitely the thing that Marlena needed to hear. Btw, with all this talk of Noah, does it mean that he’s gonna be introduced soon? Amy, revealing that John changed her flat tire many years ago seemed a little random though. I would rather she have said something about how everybody in Salem knows of John Black because of how he was always such a hero. But at the same time, her story also showed what a great guy John was.  I liked Kate’s scenes with Philip too, and her promise to get back at Xander for what he did. And since we didn’t see JPL in the bed, did he need some time off or something? And yeah, everything involving ‘One Stormy Night’ still seems very Ron-like to me.
    • The second photo featuring the late John Spencer is from the Law & Order episode, "Prescription For Death", which was the (second) pilot/first episode all the way back in 1990! He played the father of a daughter that had gone to the ER for a mere sore throat but ended up dead because the doctor on call was drunk and had given her medication that she had an adverse reaction to, after receiving some other medication. So, he will always have that great distinction in addition to The West Wing. (The first pilot, "Everybody's Favorite Bagman", was filmed in 1988! The show was offered to CBS, but they passed. In syndication, it is oddly placed as the sixth episode of Season 1. And Roy Thinnes played DA Alfred Wentworth there. When NBC picked up the show two years later, Thinnes declined to return, and that's how we got Steven Hill's DA Adam Schiff.)
    • exactly. I can understand schadenfreude if it were real, but a lot of this is just an engineered distraction.
    • Days of our Lives S60E204 – Thursday, June 5, 2025 Okay, today’s episode was kind of boring. It was nice seeing Jack and Jen back, but they wasted an entire episode on Jen chatting with Julie - one scene would’ve been enough. Also, why didn’t Jack and Jen go comfort Marlena? And wouldn’t a flashback with Jack, Jen, and John have been great? Maybe something from the Cruise of Deception era? Bottom line - it feels like once John’s memorial is over and the returning fan favorites leave Salem… the show’s going to be dull again.
    • Everything with Elon and Trump is a stunt. If people, and the sycophantic press, are talking about their "feud," they are not talking about Republican plans to gut Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA.
    • I can't fully remember, but I don't think they tried to get Beth Chamberlin back. I think Laibson/McTavish likely saw Beth as old news and wanted to move Philip on; either that or have her return only when Philip was closely tied to a new woman. Thanks as always for these recaps. I think I had stopped watching around this time and mostly kept up by reading in the soap magazines. Bridget's degradation was horrible to watch, as the character had grown so much over the years and was clearly regressed just to be a foil for a "hot" couple viewers had zero investment in.
    • Having the majority of the cast on those low numbers is no way to tell story. And just 2 dayplayers for the month. So sad for the #1 soap.
