According to Nichols's interview with Michael Fairman,

he says his Tucker will be a "player" and will not be exclusive to Jill alone.

So, I don't know if he and Jill will be anything long-term.

As soon as Nichols was hired I didn't think he'd stay with Jill. The show sees her as old baggage. They will want him to be with one of their "hot" names. I won't be surprised if he has a turn on the Sharon ride.
