Members dragonflies
Carruthers said on twitter(yes it was actually her) there will be a new writing team for AMC announced in a few weeks, and she loves the transition team
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Does anyone know when this transition stuff will start airing? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it seems like Julie considers the transition team a separate team from the soon to be announced official team. So, is Broderick staying or not? Guess we'll find out soon enough.
Members dragonflies
Yeah that's the impression I got. So is it going to be a whole new team? Cause she said writing team
Members AllMyDaysatGH
Oh wow, thanks for posting. I didn't know the whole writing team would be changed . "A few weeks" can't come soon enough....can't wait to see whose on the team, and who the Head Writer will be...
Members Kubla Khan
"Writing team" = headwriting team, more than likely. The whole writing team won't be replaced. Just curious: Is there a link to JHC's Twitter?
Members Jonathan
what's her twitter name?
Members Jonathan
Julie Hanan Carruthers did say that, but she didn't post it on Twitter. Today, Susan Lucci, Agnes Nixon, and Julie Carruthers took part in the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour for ABC. Also there was Steve McPherson, ABC president, the cast of Lost, Billy Zane, and others promoting ABC programming. It looks like All My Children was there to talk about the 40th Anniversary. Here is the twitter feed brought to us by TVTango: http://twitter.com/TVTango An even more detailed transcript here. Looks like Agnes was in the ER two days ago. Yikes! Susan and Agnes recreated that scene from the NY Times event. http://tvtango.com/news/detail/id/
Members LeClerc
It does sound like the transition team and the new headwriting team are not going to be the same. Or maybe by saying how she loves the transition team she was trying to hint that Broderick will be HW? Probably not.... For some reason I'm leaning more and more towards Karen Harris. Although if the announcement is still weeks away is it possible they still haven't decided definitively yet who it will be?
Members NYC123
I hope Broderick does stay. Well with all these returns like who is going to write this "GREAT STORY ARCS" AMC has been saying. Hopefully if there is a new HW we can get a someone who is expereinced and good. Good being the key work.
Members LeClerc
Since both returns are short-term -- at least for now -- the writing for them would probably be done by the time Broderick left.
Members LeClerc
So apparently Julie's exact words were "within a few weeks, I think we'll be ready to announce the head writing team." Headwriting team. So will it be two people? Maybe it will be Gordon Rayfield and Anna Theresa Cascio, and we'll start the whole cycle again
Administrator Toups Posted January 14, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted January 14, 2010 Let the guessing game begin! The most obvious one I'm sure will be Lucky Gold IN at AMC. Chris Dunn's probably happy too. Sorry, Julie!
Members NYC123
I really thought LB and or Karen Harris would take over..... I hope LB stays as AHW because we REALLLYYY need someone at AMC with history...
