Members Sylph
I was thinking the same thing. I can't wait for them to go, but also wonder how other people who find them the essence of the show will react.
Members aMLCproduction
I guess these dreadful and outlandish plots of Y&R are a lot of peoples cup of tea. Not me. AT ALL. I don't like what I see and these high ratings for them will only prolong MAB being fired. EAT HELL SONY!!!
Members smadleyb
Hopefully not too off topic, but LMAD no longer airs in my area. When GL went off the air, the Doctors moved to 3pm and LMAD was on at 10am, this week The Doctors talk show is on at 10am and 3pm now... Did CBS pull LMAD all together, or was it just certain markets?
Members Chris B
If so many people left in the time following Dru's exit, surely Victor and Nikki will get a reaction.
Members SouthOfSoap
The way I read the dailies (if anything can infact be inferred from dailies) for Y&R is that alot of people decided to check it out on Monday and 3/4 of those "new" viewers were impressed enough to watch again on Tuesday. But by Wednesday most of them were gone as the show trended back down to previous week viewership totals. B&B on the other hand, may have actually retained a fair number of those extra viewers who tuned in on Monday.
Members JaneAusten
People are not going to care at all when Zach and Kendall leave. I doubt it's going to impact ratings one bit except in a positive way. Too bad Ryan can't go with them.
Members dragonflies
Please don't generalize people. You'd be surprised how many people do care. I don't care who likes them or hates them, but they are the show's most popular couple. Who's going to take their & JAmanda's place? JR/Marissa, Erica/Ryan, Tad/KWAK, Rylee? Talk about snoozefest central. Let's talk when people tune out in droves In a positive way? I do love how haters love to spin things, it's so amusing. Fact is Z/K have brought in good ratings when they've had a good story.

Members JaneAusten
Stand corrected. People will care it just won't negatively impact the ratings. I personally don't find any of the couples on AMC special. They need a complete overhaul IMO. And no I don't think there is any couple or potential couple on the show remotely interesting. Members Jonathan
I'm on Jane's side. Surprise, surprise. ZendallFan, I want you to point out when they've had good story and pull up the ratings for the exact week(s) you are talking about. And we don't want another couple taking their place. We don't need another pathogenic twosome on this show.
Members Ann_SS
I never cease being amazed by how fan bases think that their couple or character is the only reason people watch the soaps so if they leave the ratings and viewership will collapse. The departure of John and Marlena proved this fan base ideology wrong. The impending departure of Victor and Nikki and Zach and Kendall will show the same thing. Most people watch for good storytelling and solid writing, they won't tune out because any one or two people leave. Days is the perfect example. Members Jonathan
Poor Zendall Fan, always getting beat up on this board. It's not personal, you're just an easy target for us.
Members JaneAusten
It's not a personal knock against anyone. I agree with Ann though. I think it's odd many believe that couples make or break a soap. To me there are no great couples on any soaps anymore. They are all transitional in some fashion. Members Cat
You know, I think Zendall Fan has a point. There are a lot of fans who are tied up exclusively in Zendall and they may drop the show once they go. On Days, people were completely burned out by John & Marlena; Patch & Kayla were essentially wallpaper. On AMC, the show revolves around Minshew and Kaye. Just like Y&R is built around Victor Newman and everybody's reaction to him. I think both shows are going to take a hit. Y&R's might be bigger than AMC's, though. Damn. GH. It is tumbling! And it really isn't all that bad at the moment.
