Members DRW50
I enjoyed bad girl Dinah (I enjoyed all of her bitch period that I know some felt trashed her), but victim Dinah and Lonatrat - I couldn't. I also had a lot of Dinah/Matt issues and I felt like the show would have paired them up 3 different times if not for the "Matessa" fans they were so afraid of. I know it's a standard soap story, but if they'd done that to Vanessa (and I didn't even like her with Matt), I would have lost my [!@#$%^&*]. I know they did in later years, but I'd quit watching by then. I went back and saw the clips, and I was able to appreciate it because at least it gave Maeve the rare chance to act.

Members kalbir
I hadn't watched any clips for a long time due to regular life getting in the way, but since I'm on vacation I spent some time rewatching fall/winter 1989, and early 1990. I had forgotten there were some hints dropped of a potential Alan-Michael/Blake affair at the end of 1989 and then the actual affair began in February 1990. I thought Carl T. Evans's Alan-Michael looked like a little boy next to Sherry Stringfield's Blake. Then in the summer Alan-Michael was recast with Rick Hearst and he at least looked like a grown man. Roger/Alexandra was also beginning at this time, leading to their marriage in the spring. That pairing was more cat-and-mouse/power play. I didn't think there was any great love between them. Summer 1990 to spring 1991 was a big transition period, but I thought the show actually got better when all was said and done. Sadly by the end of summer 1992 all the momentum was gone.

Members DRW50
Apparently some GL alum have been appearing on this talk show...including Cynthia Watros, which surprises me as I thought she left Y&R for a prime time role. It's nice to see her with Grant Aleksander again as I always thought they had a lot of chemistry. You can also learn how to make a Bauer burger. (I put the clips in the WATN thread) Read more: Soap Stars - Where are they now? - Page 159 - Discuss The Soaps - SON Community http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/43846-soap-stars-where-are-they-now/?page=159#ixzz4HOrExl8i
Members DRW50
This is some web series I've never heard of, about a man who wants to be on Guiding Light. They use the music and the lighthouse motif but I assume no one involved in GL is on this: Please register in order to view this content Sorry, wrong video (NBA will appreciate it if he looks at the thread...).

Members ~bl~
Michael O'Leary reached out to Watros via social media (Facebook). In the 1-act version of the play, Beth Chamberlin played that role. When they got the offer to put on the play elsewhere outside of NYC (making it not feasible for Beth C) and at a longer size, MOL saw Cynthia was online and contacted. He shared the play, she liked what he wrote and they worked it out. This is why Grant was in LA at the time of the Days of Our Lives 13,000 episode party because he was visiting Cynthia as the play's director. It is discussed in one of the interviews. The show that Cynthia was on "Finding Carter" was cancelled, so she was available. Nearly all of the MTV scripted series are going away as the channel is changing direction again. The other show isn't directly related to GL, but the person behind it knows Stephanie Gaschet as she is shown in the video. Members slick jones
Can anyone help me with 2 80s questions? I am sure that Hillary Bauer married Fletcher Reade and that Katie Parker married Long John Reed played by athlete Richard Todd, I remember Louie Darnell finally giving his blessing despite his unrequited love for her.
Members katie_9918
I don't know about Katie, but Hillary never got married. She was involved with dull Jim Reardon at the time of her death.
