Just FYI: Robert Bogue (Mallet) has another featured voice role in the new Grand Theft Auto V, releasing tomorrow at midnight. I thought I heard his voice while watching some video from the game, and I checked into it and it's him.

The Rockstar Games projects, and the GTA series in particular, have often featured soap alumni, particularly a number of alumni from OLTL and GL. GTA IV featured the late Doris Belack (and Sunset Beach's Tim Adams, who played Ron Walsh on OLTL), and Bogue played an ambitious bouncer in the game's second expansion, The Ballad of Gay Tony.

I always liked Bogue, and he has a facility for dark comedy that both of his GTA credits enjoy.

I was reading a Doug Marland interview from late 1980, and he talked a little about his plans for GL. They included some that I know happened, and some like a Jennifer/Mike romance (did that happen?). He also said Sara would get romance, which I don't think happened. He said he really wanted to do more with Sara and Bert.

I hate that P&G forced Milette Alexander out.

Sara's last "romance" was with Adam, uninspired and rushed as I remember, and really just to drive another stake in Barbara's heart. She always lived Adam.

Bert was doing Dr. Jackson and I'll never believe otherwise. He was over for dinner WAY too much.

Mike. The Stud of Springfield. He "dated" everyone, including Jennifer. As upstanding as he was supposed to be, he had no problem helping Elizabeth commit adultery on TWO husbands! And once while he was "dating" Jackie! Mike was seeing Alexandra when he left the show--there was still a lot of life left in the old boy.

Thomas123853 posted an episode from 1977 on youtube. It's the Man of the Year Awards dinner for Mike Bauer where Bill Bauer is secretly watching on the sidelines. It features so many wonderful characters and moments. Besides the Bauers, there's the original Hilary Bauer, Rita, Bert and Steve Jackson flirting, very early Katie Parker and Peggy Thorpe toward the end of her run. I love, love Fran Myers and she is typically understated and fabulous. She has the most beautiful eyes.

It's taped from the TV so turn your volume WAY up, but it's a gem.

Yet another GL alum does Grand Theft Auto V - Beth Chamberlin as black widow Abigail Mathers, a side mission character.

For the record, also, here's Robert Bogue as corrupt "FIB" (FBI) agent Steven Haines, one of the key villains of the game. He's often seen in active missions, but he also is a TV star who hosts a "true crime" show, as seen here.

I'm having this weird delayed reaction to GL's cancellation tonight. F*ck! I miss this show so much. It's my own fault for refusing to grieve when it ended. I'm like a loved one who refuse to go to the funeral and then freak out a few years later. mad.gif I just can't accept that I'm never going to see these characters again.

    • Are these new?! Damn, he is in the prime of his life.
    • He is a 40 year old large grown man "raising his voice" and calling a teenage girl "careless".  That's inappropriate.  I am not going to argue at the octave of his voice although I would consider it yelling.  Felicity was visibly upset.  She also has special needs, but it would be wrong to do that to anyone in general.  Xander was out of line.  He didn't immediately apologize or admit he was wrong until Princess Sarah was okay.  Idk, go find your wife's epipen instead of berating a young girl.  Or, you know, Sarah could have asked if there was any pistachio in her scone as a pre-caution.  That's how most people with allergies that severe order things. I do think this story or plot point is silly, but acting like Xander did nothing wrong is just strange.  Even if Felicity DID do something wrong was he just going to continue to go on and on while his wife was going into shock?  That's the proper reaction lol.
    • I didn't get that so far so I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever pick back up.  I must have chosen bad episodes because what I saw had some really bad Irish accents from supporting/day players. They were hard to get through and I just didn't have the patience to deal with them. I don't think these accents would be allowed to go through today. I assume these accents were ironed out as the show went on--reminded me of Deas's terrible accent on GL that was dropped because it was so bad.

    • It's shoddy journalism. Pretty much says all you need to know about Parade as a source.
    • It could still be possible.  Ashley could know who her dad is, but her mother stating that her father was a ruthless man so she opted to listen to her mom and kept her distance. It also could be a change in storyline direction since we're now approaching the period of episodes being filmed when the show debuted. The actress playing Ashley posted an IG two weeks ago with her saying she got to work with new characters and old time favorites.  So I do wonder if some new details will emerge between Episode 51 and whatever she was filming at the end of April.
    • He didn't scream. He accused her of being careless in a slightly raised voice. Then he immediately admitted he had overreacted.
    • I really don't like Joey. Please get that disaster off the screen. Leslie going off like that finally let everyone see exactly who she is. She said she has more surprises up her sleeve which reinforces my thoughts that she knows something about Martin.
