I thought ^^^ as well, but then again, in their interviews together, they seem to have a natural comic banter which always led me to believe they got along. Especially since they've been pretty much working together since 2004 in some form or fashion.

Regardless, the blurb doesn't surprise me. TK seems like he's incredibly arrogant. I mean, what else can you think of someone who uses the show and his character to spit out Red Wings propaganda? OMG! The Red Wings! I feel sooooo sorry for whichever OLTL castmember gets that ugly red dressing room of his!

See I LOVE TK's Red Wings fetish! Maybe it's because my office is a shrine to sci-fi (Collector's edition Kirk/Picard plaque; Kirk, Spock and McCoy figurines, Sunnydale High School yearbook, Mr. Pointy stake replica, Nathan Petrelli for Congress campaign poster and numerous magnets with sayings such as "No power in the verse can stop me" and "Big damn hero", an autographed copy of Soul Stealer and a leather bullwhip. Just because.)

Stuff like that makes the actors more human in my eyes.

Umm what? lol

I had never heard that Thorston disliked James Scott--I thought he was killed off too quickly. WHat happened there?

Anyway I thought Nelson Branco said he was boycotting all things AMC? :P

So they're recasting Colby before the move? I thought they'd wait, that said I'm glad they're recasting--if the Natalie Hall they're recasting with is the same one who's done a lot of Broadway musical theatre (Chorus Line revival tour, Wicked, etc) then she's actually a talent.

James Scott hinted in an interview when he first joined Days that "someone" got him fired because he was a threat. The rumor was that TK got him fired because he was jealous. I think it was probably because TK did not want Zach to have a son that old.

JS is a big baby who ought to pay attention to his own crap. TK did an interview a few years ago, where he talked about an incident he had with another actor. He was flying back and forth from California at the time, and was exhausted. The scene TK had with the unnamed actor was very physical and he asked the actor if they could take it easy just to get through it. The actor agreed and during rehearsal was careful. When the scene was shot, without a clue or a warning, the actors was all over TK, almost to the point of knocking him over. He got TK to trust him and then he used that as a weapon. You know the saying: trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice...

    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
    • I'm excited for us to get back to a full weeks worth of episodes and also us beginning to move into the episodes filmed once the show premiered. We're already starting to see changes in the lighting and the way certain characters are styled. Of course we know this week we have our first recast as well. After the big Eva reveal, I hope the show continues to move into a positive direction and that we see them starting to fix some of the things we've all had issues with.
    • It seems like they may have been going in one direction for Andre and then changed their mind. He had this player/bachelor thing going at first where he was messing with Dani, seemed to be feeling Eva, and then somehow smitten by bland Ashley of all people. I feel like Ashley was supposed to be the one that finally made him want to be with someone and settle. The way he talked her up in those earlier episodes was really confusing. The wonderful, amazing nurse Ashley and conveniently she's unattainable because she has a partner, but he can't stop thinking of her and takes these busted pics of her. It was a mess. However, it all seems to have been dropped. I honestly feel like Andre can go. That may be an unpopular opinion but I don't need his breathy final syllable to be content with BTG. It's always like "There's gotta be another wh-ahyy"
    • This is where McLaibey falls apart. It becomes clear that McTavish had not thought past Brent/Marion...so the energy drops and she starts throwing things at the wall (Blakes twins, Lonatrat.)   Fans HATED this funeral. Everyone is mad at everyone else, which is fine, the death of a beloved community figure would give people a reason to come together...(Quint and Nola could come together at least for  a bit to support each other, Nola and VAn could finally admit they kinda, sorta like each other) Its just an example of McTavish's mean writing.   I have a feeling they were going to make Dahlia Frank's kid but they chickened out. Making Tina a prostitute didn't help, they could have been lovers when they were young but felt society pressure to part. Marcus took over David's role (you can't have two young black men at that time...)   Get used to it...this will happen, the same storyline over and over until the end.
    • Does anyone happen to have a recording or any footage of Jennifer’s funeral?
    • It's such a shame that the conflict couldn't be resolved in a mature way between the two actors.. especially since Albee was a bigger asset for the show in terms of character and his popular will they/won't they pairing with Deborah Saxon. One of the things about Edge was that it was just as popular with male viewers as it was with women.  It's one of things I think the show forgot in the final year or two with the deemphasis on the male characters.
