Was is just me or did Bryton McClure and Doug Davidson wear the same shirt? Paul was wearing a grey thermal and on Friday's ep Devon was wearing the same shirt.

I thought about that too! But this is not the first storyline of hers that she ripped off.

Everyone thought Victor was dead and Adam looked like an ass.

Everyone thought Katherine was dead and Jill looked like an ass.

Adam got kicked out of Newman and had to beg for a job, with no success.

Billy got kicked out of Jabot and had to beg for a job, with no success.

Colleen throws herself at Daniel and is in a triangle with Daniel and Amber.

Colleen throws herself at JT and is in a triangle with Victoria and JT.

Micheal finds out he has another sibling.

Kevin finds out he has another sibling.

Nick realizes he wants Sharon. Cassie is proof as to why he needs to be with her.

Nick realizes he wants Phyllis. Summer is proof as to why he needs to be with her.

Maybe someone will sue MAB for plagerising herself.

Getting rid of Hogan Sheffer would be a start and Hamner as well.

The the Characters that have been monopolizing the screen and are destroyed to me are most definately Adam and Patty. When you cross the line of harming children or pregnant women on purpose that to me is it. They need to go.

Those 2 storylines alone are basically turning away viewers in my opinion.

In fact I have been a loyal fan of the show since the start and I was just a child along with family member's and they have tuned out and will continue to until those storylines end.

They cannot take it and I agree.

I watch because I am trying to hold out hope and better for the show.

Most of them except one real life friend of mine posts but the rest do not post online and are just disgusted with Adam, Patty, Ghost storylines.

Can you imagine what a writer like Claire Labine (or Nancy Curlee) could do for this show? She could bring the heart and soul back. Give us the characters we used to recognize, but don't anymore. I think Hogan Sheffer is the worst thing to hit Y&R since LML. Maybe worse. The show misses so many important beats, sacrificing character for plot. So many characters have been destroyed by the current writing regime, notably Ashley, Sharon, Phyllis, Victor. I don't bother to record the show anymore. It's so dark and depressing, and there's no love or real romance any longer. CBS needs to take a long hard look at what's happened to this show and try to save it before it's too late.

I was ready to answer this with an „no more“…

…but then I watched Monday’s episode and then Tuesday’s. And damn I liked it a lot.

The haunting of Ashley is gruesome but not spite of my taste. Adam pulling another despicable stunt on Ashley. Mary Jane confessing to father Todd Williams – fabulous. The pacing is all over the place, as with all stories right now, but from time to time they deliver sth. good and I’m clinging top hope that the writers now to write Adam and Mary Jane out their corners eventually.

I really love the whole Chancellor Inn stuff, except for real and fake Phillip and their quest for humanity, self-approval, Lily’s affection or whatever.

Chance/Chloe/Billy/Mac has been a riot though. And it can’t be stressed enough how awesome it is to have Tricia Cast back. Nina & Paul, Nina & son – it’s always worth tuning in.

I still haven’t seen Devon’s “big” story - BTW loved that fierce tag created by someone “Bryton that b*tch with no last name” - and am sure to be convinced that is dreadful. However, comparing what is wrong with Y&R these days, and it is plenty, with Pornbrosia, Carmen Messed Up, Pheila or the RELIQUARY driving me to the point where I couldn’t stand one single character in Genoa City, the show is still “fine”.

MAB should just get down to business and be more front and centre. Several stories have all the wrongness of Scott Hamner (another dead corpse in a story with Amber & Daniel!?) and Hogan Sheffer (rush pacing; wacko-moments – I’m waiting for the day Sharon or someone else has to squeeze herself through a cat flap) labled all over them.

Despite the crummy pacing and the rampant stupidity, this is miles ahead better than LML. What Devon and Tyra did and what Adam and MJ have done are just gross; but at least it's not shoved down our throats like Gloria was or that damn Reliquary and Clear Springs stories were. And the way they were hyped... as if Y&R would change for the better made her regime even that more nauseating.

Honestly, I'll take incest over Gloria 24/7. There's really not one character on the show now that needs to be bound and gagged, not even Miller.

I agree, and why they're forcing such anti-soap elements on this show makes you wonder.

Sadly, I think Y&R's reputation within the industry has been so tarnished that no one with a good reputation would want to take it on as a HW at this point, as much as I'd like for it to happen.

Also, I want to know how having two Fi-Core writers as Y&R's HW's is helping its image any within the industry and the WGA? It's like they purposely want to harm this show.

But it's definitely time to make some changes before it's too late. I'm hoping behind the scenes and in front of the camera changes are made sooner, rather than later.

For me the problem isn't even incest, it's the refusal to actually tell stories. Rarely have I seen any soap, especially a soap which is so lauded for its classic style, so reluctant to ever commit to a story. Stories either vanish within a few weeks or go on and on, dying out, the same repetition for months. The gaslighting and this Shick/Phick mess contain some of the worst soap pacing and motivations I can recall.

Hopefully,Sharon will emerge from her stay a stronger character.

At least it is a new set!

Please,no baby switch story.

It's time to send the quad in different directions.Sharon had fond memories of Crimson Lights. How about she buys the bookstore and adds a cafe, creating a new meeting place.

I'd like to see Noah come around and become a supporter of Sharon-some nice mother son scenes.

Sharon should tell Nick and Phyllis the facts about the baby.

Have the characters deal with it,rather than the usual lies and secrets route.

It was a relief not to see Ashley and her breakdown. She needs to be restored to the strong woman she once was and kick Victor to the kerb.

They need to get rid of Eva Marcille and put Tatyana Ali on contract. STAT! She had one minute of dialogue and girl still brought the fierce.

I'm actually looking forward to some story for JT and Vamptoria. Perhaps Deacon will jolt the Snorific One awake.

Really? Do you have any hopes for that?

Heinle has been just dreadful in recent weeks and there's no one to blame but her. The writing was there and she failed miserably. Don't think Deacon/Sean Kanan can shake her awake.

JeffreyBot Hellstrom on the other has me slightly interested in forever: I can totally root with for being tempted to cheat and that boring / self-righteous wife of his and he had chemistry with NuMac this past few weeks, not so with Tammin Sursok/Colleen though.

    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.

    • I think they’re desperately trying to cover his awful tattoos. But anyway them being unable to style short kings properly has been a major pet peeve of mine for a while now.  I honestly don’t understand what some people expect from actors to even begin considering them for recognition. Let’s be real—awards mostly mean that an actor is respected by their peers and has some level of cultural relevance. Actual judgment on the acting itself? That’s often secondary—highly subjective and shaped by the times. I completely agree on both points. If you’re an actor or a dancer you shouldn’t get any tattoos (sorry not sorry). Tomas’ tattoos are ugly too. And regarding the couples- you’re completely right. These writers are unable to write romance.   Further comments: - Kat cannot be this dumb to keep tampering with evidence over and over again. And I’m officially not a fan of the actress—every time she’s in a scene with Leslie, she doesn’t seem intimidated at all. She plays it like comic relief, which is just too much, especially when paired with Leslie’s histrionics and over-the-top antics. Leslie is older, dangerous, and has literally been portrayed as homicidal—Kat should be at least a little scared. • I also didn’t like Kat playing damsel in distress with the hotel manager. It gave off the same weird energy as Dani with the cop. I would’ve much preferred the version Paul Raven suggested, with her sneaking in through housekeeping. • And yes, Dani again accused Hayley of faking the pregnancy—this time even specifying she might be using a pillow under her shirt. (No fake miscarriage being mentioned) I stand by my take: this is ridiculous writing. No one in the real world—except us, the chronically online soap watchers—would even think of such a conspiracy theory. Haley is no Beyoncé. • What in the world was Chelsea wearing in her hair the other day? And this whole thing with Madison is beyond cringe. Chelsea’s coming off as needy and toxic—basically like every other Dupree. • I’m glad the casino storyline is moving forward, but it’s still boring as hell. Honestly, I’d be so here for a plot twist where Vanessa and Doug take Joey out. • The direction and editing lately have been rough. Abrupt cuts, weird pacing… something just feels off overall. There’s a strange uneasiness to how it’s all coming together. • And finally: Tomas is too much of a saint. Where are the messy sluts when you need them? (Vanessa doesn’t count.)
    • I was watching some August 1987 episodes and they brought back so many memories. I had some thoughts: Lisa and Jamie were so dull. Lisa was such a nothing character. It boggles my mind that so much story was centered around her in such a short amount of time. Joanna Going is a talented actress, but the material was just not there.  It was so good to see Wallingford and Mitch again. I know there was talk about Felicia a while back, but these episodes reminded me how integral Felicia was for the show.  Sally Spencer was done so dirty. She is turning in superb performances in an icky storyline. I wish she had stuck around longer. She has chemistry with everyone. The McKinnons should have lasted longer. Spencer had some strong stuff with Stephen Schnetzer and Mary Alexander. AW waster such a talented actress by getting rid of her. Justice for Cheryl too. I also missed Ed Fry when he left. Sandra Ferguson was a star from the moment she came on. She was charismatic and just popped. She had immediate chemistry with RKK and blended in well with Wyndham and Watson. I'd forgotten about the teenage Matthew.  I have no memory of Peggy Lazarus. She must not have lasted long. Was the original plan for John that he was going to turn out to be the twins' real father?
