Whoopi was most likely assuming. Lucci staying, Lucci going, Lucci recurring - she'll be leaving the studio. The View and "AMC" (Eyewitness News) have shared the building for a long time, everybody will miss each other. SL will be on Regis & Kelly on Friday so maybe she'll give us an answer then.

I think NB was probably right in that they'd like her to go on recurring. They can't afford to lose her completely (but probably don't hate the thought of losing her contract pay). SL has been with the show too long to not want to help it survive so I see her being fine with a new deal. She clearly doesn't need the show, it's been 40 years (she's a brand name) and it's not going to last much more than 3-5 more, if even. I think they'll pay for her to commute a few times a year, or have her stay in L.A. for a couple of months a year. If by some chance she decides to remain on contract though, fabulous.

Yep, AMC is truly sunk if he's both EP and HW. I can't imagine how much longer the show is going to last with him at the helm as it is. The show is starting to hemorrage viewers again

Yeah, I knew a lot of the actors would love the move to L.A.

But Ricky Paull....it's 40 years, not 35. AMC started shooting in NY in December 1969....and it will start shooting in LA in January 2010.

I'm not surprised RPG is moving. I really think Beth Ehlers might stay behind.

As always, the only one I'm concerned with is VI. He's a NYC native and has a wife/children, as well as extended family in the NYC area, to consider in the move. However, he would have relocated to LA had his Y&R character been a substantial one. He has one in David Hayward!
