i dont think that the story is about him being hard up for sex. i think the story is actually more about rafe falling for adam, whom he has been friends with formonths now. that he is in love with him. its plot driven, but thats the plot, not sex, IMHO anyways. they should have done a better job in this by showing rafe having a crush on adam all this time, but knowing it will never be more...

I dont think Clem Ford is the problem.

She seems to be playing Mac perfectly, as too how the character is written. The writing is the issue.

If the IIC knew that they were going to go this way with Adam and Rafe, how come they haven't been developing a friendship and or longing on screen. It is just so out of the blue.

Clem is the problem. She goes between being quiet and reserved to over the top with pep and it throws the whole mood of a scene off for me. They also have a big problem with a lack of chemistry between her and Billy M. It all comes off as forced, not destiny.

Poor Frank. He was actually one of my favorite characters on the show, I don't know how he survived some of the trashy plots of that era, like spying on Karen with a telescope, planting panties in Joe's apartment. And then the story where he took in the big-busted ward...didn't he start sleeping with her? Lark, I think her name was.

I never thought Lark and Frank took it that far, but it doesn't surprise me. I wish they would have kept her. I loved Anastasia Horne.

And the RaceCar Beds was the first time Kevin and Eve had sex.

She bit off way too much than she is able to chew. She left daytime for 20 years, and came back to be the show's HW and eventually Co-EP, when she NO training in either of those positions. Her training in daytime is essentially a few scripts she wrote for B&B like 20 years ago. Daytime obviously wasn't her passion and she lacks the necessary training and years of experience to write a truly solid show. She must also lack confidence in her writing ability to have not one, but TWO Co-Head Writers.

I don't know why The Bell's and Sony didn't find a real, and experienced writer to take over this show when the strike ended. Why did they force this amateur to steer this show? Do these people have any common or business sense at all? They really screwed this show over for the past couple of years. I'm sure there are many people who are more qualified for the job that would be glad to take this challenge on, but they would rather keep someone who doesn't have much training, simply because she's married to a Bell.

I fully expect this summer's storylines to flop, not only in fan reaction, but in the ratings. The show is already tying its record lows, I fully expect it to reach new record lows this summer.

It is out of the blue, and plot driven. without a doubt. but i think love is the motivation for rafe, not sex.

Clem plays Mac who shes written. Maybe if anything was consistent she could play something consistent. Other actors are failing miserably who are known to be great too. Y&R has become like GH in that way. GH, no matter how bad, had the ebst cast ion daytime. Then they started phoning it in. Same is happening at Y&R.

The actors are the ONLY saving grace in most of these storylines, especially the veteran cast. No matter how crappy most of these storylines are, most of the cast still brings it and cares.

I would get lost too if I were constantly fed repetitiveness in storylines and constant flip-flopping. The character writing on this show is so one-note and hollow. It's tragic, but that seems to be the case in all of daytime.

So, I'm wondering what the hell is going on with the Melody Thomas Scott contract drama. It's been over a month now since that news broke, and if she's leaving the show, surely we would have known by now. Also, I doubt they'd be negotiating this contract for over a month.

Maybe getting rid of/bumping to recurring those two talentless "actresses" Eva Marcille and Vail Bloom saved enough money for Melody to stay on?

A few more "actresses" need to be fired too...

Y&R Mid-Summer Bitchulation

I was given the task to do the speculation and let’s face it, do we really even need one? I should have done spec weeks ago, but again, there really wasn’t a purpose. Well this week, there is a purpose, but only because I’ve decided to do things a little differently. So here are my speculations, I’m sure that most will be true, unless a miracle of some kind occurs.

I speculate that some critics will still praise MAB in spite of so many sad and bad storylines. I speculate that MAB will continue to believe that this is good writing, due to the unwarranted praise. I speculate that the ratings will continue to fall over the summer, because people will get tired of having their intelligence tested. I speculate that because of the press, MAB won’t get a clue and realize that they do NOT speak for everyone! I speculate that Kate’s screen time will not decrease, because once again, so called critics think that this Ish is good and are too self involved to realize that many of US are sick of seeing that Ho. I speculate that like the character, Elizabeth Hendrickson will continue to get praise that is very much undeserved. I speculate that Billy Miller will continue to have to hold up scenes, because both of his leading ladies are sadly lacking. I speculate that the Christel Khalil will continue to be held hostage by the “best” couple on Y&R and that is only because the others are SOOO bad!! It's really sad that one of the most popular couples on this show, has dialogue suitable for Sesame Street! (I will take MJ and Kitty over the ridiculousness of Fethan ANY DAY!!)

I speculate that failed storylines will continue to be pushed onto US, because of backstage politics. I speculate that the females on this show will continue to be shown as examples of how a woman should NOT be!!! I speculate that Papa Roach will continue to throw craptastic storylines the Winters' way!! Well, let’s not include Lily in that, she will actually be on the fringes of a new storyline and is rumored to actually be getting one that revolves around her. I speculate that if MAB wants to save Fethan, she will use Lily to do it, and further Fily’s (AND yes, I said FILY get OVER IT) screen time. I speculate that many will be happy with this while some of US will probably just stop watching. Unfortunately, I won’t be included, because I have responsibilities to DT, but will DVR off Soapnet, so Y&R will NOT get my ratings for this BS. I speculate that I will probably just stop watching the show all together, and do my weekly wraps based on DT recaps. I speculate that MAB will not throw EE under the bus as she should, but let him continue to be the WAB (Read: Weak Ass Bastard) that he is. I speculate that while many are excited about the P3 storyline, many wish that MAB would just leave things alone. I speculate that no matter what dastardly deeds EE may or may not have done, many will still burrow deeper in the sand. I speculate that this WTD s/l will go downhill, because some people are tired watching women act STUPID over a Dumbass-UnWorthy-Sad-Excuse of a man.

I speculate that the Scooby Gang will continue to bring ratings down, because people just don’t care about them and read this MAB “THEY ARE NOT TEENAGERS”!!! I speculate that MG is probably chanting the famous quote “We’re in a recession, we’re in a recession.” I speculate that this gay s/l will be a hit, but only if is done correctly and with care. I speculate that characters will continually be destroyed, in order to make others look better. I speculate that MJ will continue to be a bright shiny beacon of hope for many of us. I speculate that some will like this blog, while others will not. I speculate that if you have read any of my previous entries then you will know that IDC!!
