Tuesday's episode was loads better than Monday's.

Like Amity, I liked that Luke said he owed Damian a big apology.

Now that I am done caring about the Z's (if only one of them was going to be a Grimaldi, I wanted it to be Zac, not Zoe, but oh well), I can appreciate the story more for what it still is -- healing the wound in Luke's life regarding his birth father, confirmation of Luke and Noah's love, and conflict for Lily and Holden. It's working for me.

Also from Tuesday, I liked Mr Pants bringing Casey and Allison together, corny as all that was.

About Parker's hair, I like it fine. It's practically a key part of the character now since the recast. A lot of the Disney and Degrassi stars have longer hair too -- I think it is "in."

About Jade, I find her complex because she's not predictable. She'll roll her eyes at you, yell at you, backstab you, and plot against you, but unlike an Emily Stewart abandoning Dusty to the wolves and not corroborating his story when he was arrested a few months ago after shooting Paul, odds are she'll also fight to save you when you're in real trouble. Like when she fought against Adam to save Gwen. But then again, I'm not 100% sure Jade would save you -- Jade keeps you guessing, but not in a random change-her-mind-all-the time Meg way either. And Jade puts on a bitter front, but she's also a hopeless romantic.

I think your story for her might have worked too, P.J., but I love Jade just the way she is and has been. She has just the right amount of emotional issues for me, not too much, not too few.

Now if only they'd have her trying to find Luke, like the real Jade would be doing right now, instead of the Jade of the no-budget ATWT that can't mix stories.

Jade's a hopeless romantic? I must have missed that side of her---the most romantic thing she's done is bang Adam on the floor of a recording studio. I wonder why TIIC even bothered making her Rose's child....they had the potential for that to affect a lot of people on the canvas---established vets, I mean---and most of what Jade's done has stuck in kiddie-ville. Her feud with Gwen and Maddie was boring, and now she's the "bad girl" to an ex-porn queen. GMAB.

As for Parker's hair....it wouldn't look as bad if someone in the styling department had gotten up off their butt and trimmed his freakin' bangs!!! Considering how good the women usually look, the men seem to be forgotten. (Other than RH, who pays more attention to his hair than I think is healthy for a man...) Brad was walking around like a monk for months before he got a haircut, poor Holden always looks like he got the back of his head caught in a weed whacker moments before stepping on set, and OMG, the thing that is on Dusty's head is hideous.

And Luke collects faghags like some boys collect baseball cards. If we're on long enough to age Faith, she'll be the next one to adore Luke and the water he walks on.

If her feud with Gwen was less about "OMG I want to boink your husband because he's so hot" and more about "I want to destroy your marriage because your husband killed the mother I never knew," then it would have been soooo much more mature. So much more mature. They ruined something that could have been good story for the sake of a quick fix. Gwen and Jade both had potential to be long-running characters (albeit with recasts), IMO, but their storylines wore thin very quickly.

I feel so bad for Mick Hazen. He's got Peter Brady Syndrome, he's going through puberty on national television. Squeaky voice, awkward everything, the hair...poor boy. Hopefully post-adolescence is good to him.

Oh em GEE! My onscreen guide says that Lisa is on again today! "Lisa helps Damian get to the bottom of a mystery." Two appearances in a month from old Lis? Now why ain't nobody tell me that it was snowing down in hayull?

It wouldn't make Jade mature, it would make her storyline more mature. It could have opened the character of Jade up to more character development. She could have tried to ruin Will's life, got caught in the act (after damage was done, BTW), and with the right writers, we would have sympathized with her. We would have learned more about her and her past, we would have felt for her. Just having her have sex with Will and then have Will turn on her like a carton of bad milk was just such a black-and-white issue.

The story would be what happens after she tries (and fails) to get revenge.

Why is it that every time one of Lily's old lovers comes back to town, she always listens to them more than Holden?

Ugh..previews...tomorrow, Lily's in some silly assed Little Red Riding Hood get up.

I hate this baby story!!! Vienna looks like she's ready to drop this kid tomorrow...and Katie constantly whines. (although that's nothing new.... )

The way everyone's obsessed with this kid, I half expect Carly to get drunk and run Vienna down---exposing the entire scheme. Another soap cliche...an emergency blood transfusion proves Henry's the father.

I wouldn't listen to Holden either. They way he huffs and puffs is so annoying. His whole honesty bit today was so  . Did Holden forget his romp with Carly?? Did he forget seeing Carly at the farm without telling Lily?? Anyways it was nice seeing Lucinda(gasp! she looked absolutely beautiful) and Lisa in one episode. Too bad Lucinda was only shown in one scene. Can you imagine if Goutman started giving a damn and put these two ladies in a story together??

^^^yeah, but...Holden's never had his son kidnapped. Honestly, I didn't really care enough to listen in detail, but this is the same issue they always have. Lily's emotional attachment to other men ticks Holden off. I don't blame him.

I'm quite aware of this. The fact that she put Luke through all of that agony, though, made me turn cold on her forever. She should have supported him from the start, but no, not until she could get what she wanted. Her scenes seriously made me ill. I doubt Luke would have wanted to be her "friend" after all of that. It's WAY out of character. Blame the writers.
