There are not any soap fans left who actually believe that a dead character will stay dead. Wouldn't be shocked if Pratt inserted that scene with no particular character in mind just to up the mystery factor, and that when the time comes for Rebecca's inevitable return, the mystery person will be whichever actor from the past is available for work.
