Reince Priebus has dropped out of a planned Sunday appearance on Face the Nation - Giuliani is going instead.

 

Priebus and the RNC have also reportedly begun diverting funds from Trump to the downballot.

Can I just say that I can't take my FB friends at the moment, who are trying to use this current instance to push Gary Johnson? Like no. No sane person is voting for a dolt that can't name another world leader or doesn't know what Aleppo is after it was trending for days.

Do we know the source? A network, specific journalist, someone on Hillary's campaign? Could it be someone from Trump's team? I had to laugh at the tweet about the tax returns using the line from that movie When a Stranger Calls... "The tax returns are coming from the inside of the house."

Apparently he's staying to help "advise" Trump. 

 

Unless Trump really tanks the debate tomorrow (and unless he pisses on the audience I imagine he will be seen as doing well), I doubt Pence will go anywhere or even consider it.

According to a source of MSNBC (last night), they said that Trump has been inappropriate to many women working for him, but his ass is covered b/c he makes his employees sign confidentiality agreements.

I think it's important for everyone to stand up against the GOP. Frankly why did it take Trump talking about sexually assaulting white women for this to be the breaking point. His comments and behavior towards blacks, latinos, disabled people, and yes women were all out in the open. I realize hearing the words though the actual voice is more damaging, but we cannot let these people off the hook, particularly the cowards who refused to say anything and were willing to put a psychopath into the most powerful job in the world for the sake of what? Supreme court justices. And honestly they haven't learned a thing if they are all now flogging their support around that dirtbag Pence.

 

You know when Romney lost, the GOP acknowledged they needed to expand their base and become more inclusive and they did #crickets. They have now alienated every minority group that exists, alienated women all smashed to smithereens. And yet their lack of self awareness is stunning.

Why would you think he was only bragging about assaulting white women? He's on record bragging about his bed being a "rainbow coalition". I'm sure many different races of women were treated to his unwanted kissing and groping. With any luck, some of them will come forward this week, although as we've heard he has his employees under confidentiality agreements.

I just think it's odd and off-putting that this story was the only one that convinced certain corners of the GOP that Trump should step down. Not the dozens of other horrendous things he has said, not his terrible comments about Mexicans, the disabled, Blacks, veterans, etc.  Most likely the image was of White women because it's obvious that other groups were not going to engender any decisive denunciations.
