The amount of Republicans who continue to be agog at their party being full of sociopaths and money-hungry husks is amazing...even after all these years. Liz Cheney stabbed her own sister in the back for a failed bid at power, and is deeply proud of a father who bathed our country in the blood of millions of people. Her being a Trump sycophant is about as surprising as the sky being blue.

Tulsi is a feckless twit and I'd expect nothing less from her.

I can't believe she is still in the race. I swear Satan himself could run and get  2 or 3 percent in the polls.

I know it's highly unlikely that Trump will be removed from office, but the fact that he's being impeached is still delightful. And the absolute best part of it is that it is making him so angry. That thought just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.....  :P

LOL!

But seriously.  I'm with Whoopi, who said on "The View" that this is nothing to cheer about, regardless of which side of the aisle you're on politically.  We shouldn't have been brought to this moment in time.  But, the president violated the Constitution, and the House had no choice but to do its' job.  It's sad.

Oh, I can believe it!  She's being supported by dark money from Hindutva and an army of Russian trolls.

That's true. It is sad that it has come to this....

But at the same time it almost feels like it was inevitable. Trump's behaviour and general attitude was going to land him in trouble sooner or later, and now that it has I will enjoy his misery.

ICYMI, there was a fatal shooting (fatal to the shooter, mainly) outside the headquarters of the FSB in Moscow, which apparently occurred hours after Putin gave his annual press conference.

Moscow shooting: Deadly attack on FSB security headquarters

Another ICYMI, Mark Meadows who once claimed he would send President Obama back to Kenya ("or wherever he's from") is not seeking re-election. I read that he is the 21st GOP Congressman to announce retirement or not seeking re-election. Good riddance.

I doubt Trump will ever "lose the evangelicals."  They're just too ready to go off the cliff with him.  That's why there's always a Jonestown (or a Waco, or a Heaven's Gate).

For those that are interested in what was Trump ranting and raving about during the impeachment vote.

The modern evangelical movement is about $$$$ and access, not Jesus. This magazine is just covering their backside for when he's out of office, in a year, or 5 years, or whatever. Most of the Trump voters who claim to be Christians just see that as meaning they are good no matter what they do, and everyone else will burn in hell. I bet they ate up Trump saying John Dingell is burning. That's their type of talk.

The evangelicals already have a problem with women and young people. But hey if this helps peel off a couple of percent of them, that's significant and I'll take it.

But WACO could be coming. There are lots of people who will go down with him. I wish I was a good enough person to care that much.
