All it does is allow the rehashing of the same stuff from the election. If people want to move on, that means from Bernie also. If he were participating in good faith we wouldn't get this kind of crap from him.

Agreed. I voted for him during the primaries last year....but he wouldn't get my vote now. They have young dems who are ready to get in the scrum....time for the old guard to move out and let the young turks take over.

I'm enjoying Billy O'Reilly getting the boot. He was always an insufferable ass. In the end it doesn't make that much difference at Fox because a new jackass will arise, but maybe for the sake of the women around him we can hope the next won't be a harasser.

I wonder if between this and Megyn Kelly leaving Faux News is going to move away from the cult of personality and try not to build their on-air people up.

^ I can't even guess Carl. They've apparently made a boat load of money off the cult of personality.  At times like this it does seem like a double edged sword though.

^ Good. I can only hope that there are people out there with credible cases that can sue him. It makes me sick to think that he is walking away with a golden parachute.

I saw some comments elsewhere that suggested one of the reasons may have been NY's public advocate pushing for investigations. If so, good for her.

I had no idea until all this started that they had paid the loofah woman $9 million. I guess they made far more on him.

And I'll still have to see his books every time I go in the chain bookstore. Bleh.

Me, when I heard the news of O'Reilly's firing: "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!"

(Of course, I'm sure he'll be back on TV in no time.  Still, a victory is a victory.)

The next jackasses are already there.  And their names are Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. ;)

I, for one, wish this would also spell the end of those damn "Killing" books that O'Reilly slapped his name on.  If there's one thing I can't tolerate, it's someone pumping out pseudo-history books that are poorly written and heavily biased.

I am honestly shocked. But I guess the power of money talks. Fox lost over 100 advertisers from what I understand including Monsanto, which is one I never expected.

I am sure here is a job waiting for him either at CNN or in the current administration.

The current administration? Yes.

CNN? Not to sound too un-cynical to be here (I need to work on it more!), but I genuinely don't think so, even if it's just because of the sponsors he lost.

This is really embarrassing, but I used to have a HUGE crush on Tucker Carlson despite myself when I was a teenager, despite disagreeing with almost everything he said even then. I thought he was so cute. Now I just wish someone would choke him with his bow tie.

My former Governor made him his bitch in an interview a few months ago, though. It was glorious.

I expect him to turn up on talk radio.
