I can't believe the ratings for B&B. It has got to be wrong. The show is damn good. All I can think is that the combination of Y&R and Constantine are killing the audience.

I'm surprised that Y&R is 3.9 given that LML has been able to maintain the ratings for over a month. We'll see what happens next week. I just wish that CBS would hire back Alden or Smith to balance LML. They work best as a team. Any of them on their own is disaster city for Y&R. Oh, and bring back Adrianne Leon while they are fixing things.

I totally disagree,

I find B&B just fantastic these days and am just saddened to see them drop so low.

The whole has this soap feel that all other shows have lost in recent years. It's clever plotted and written drama. I might not love every single story but the overall package is flawless.

This is a truly bad and embarrassing week for all the soaps.

I'm so GLAD Y&R fell below a 4.0, when you put [!@#$%^&*] on, you deserve [!@#$%^&*] ratings. However, I'm truly sorry for shows like B&B and AMC, which are trying to at least improve.

Damn, I think things can only get worse from here on out...

Oh and, Latham didn't fire all of Y&R's old writers, two of Kay Alden's proteges are still on the writing staff, I believe. When that rainbow headed cow is finally fired, it would be logical to hand the show over to Alden's two proteges.

Keep in mind guys when Lethal quit PC, Scott Hamner was the sole HW of the show.

I can see Brad Carlton having psychic visions of where more Jewish Art is located.

I want Lethal out as much as you all do, but be very careful what you all wish for.

My poor B&B. :(

Thanks for putting that scary thought in my head, bellcurve, dear. LOL!

As bad as Latham is, Hammer is ten times as worse.

They better ask Alden, the poor woman is pining to write for Y&R again and judging by her interviews, her dismissal from the show truly hurts her. I'm sure Bradley wouldn't mind handing her back to Y&R, should those pitiful idiots at Sony come knocking.

B&B's numbers make me really sad. I too think the show has been great the past few weeks sans Constantine and crew. It shouldn't have dropped so significantly. Glad Passions is holding steady considering that was the week it lost all promotion from NBC, except for the DirecTV plugs. ABC Daytime seems to be holding it's own, which is a good sign. As for Y&R, the drop was inevitable, but not because of LML. Fans have so many ways to watch Y&R via internet and SoapNet so this doesn't surprise me. I bet they have the same or more viewers but they are not being counted. JMO.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
