Vincent has that "chemical catalyst" quality too, which is why I can't wait to see him be given full rein on this character, where if he's done the way I want to see him would be a perfect fusion of Lujack and AMC's David. "He" could very well still be Antonio, Carmen's older brother. In fact, the way the events have unfolded so far, they make more sense in the context of a protective brother avenging his younger sister's death. Being her brother would blind him to Carmen's faults even more than his being an ex-lover IMO!

I'm not even convinced David is stalking Dru. I think he's around to show he's not going any where and that he wants justice for Carmen. However, that nightmare Dru had seemed a little too real to me. I think it's possible she's going crazy

:(

I hope TPTB do decide to keep David because we've lost some good people. At least VI is a familar face to a lot of people. Better that than even more complete newbies.

Pretty good show today :) Must add it has been alot better seeing as I have not had to hear that dreaded "R" word this week so far. I will say that it is show's like today's that make me really miss KB in the role of Sheila, MS is doing great with it, but KB would have knocked these scenes out of the ballpark.

I absolutely loved that they inter-mingled Jack and Dru...it was good to see him talking to her; in fact, the talk makes me wonder if everything is what is appears to be: I mean, does Dru actually believe that Carmen is a live or in fact, did she kill Carmen and has somehow blocked out/denied all of that....

I wanted to smack the taste out of Gloria's mouth when she huffily said, "And Fen too. Find Fen too." when she was watching Nick on television....somehow, she always seems to make it all about her.

I didn't think Gloria was out of line at all when she said that. She's a worried grandmother. Nick's talking about Phyllis and Summer coming home safely, so of course she's going to want Fen mentioned. He's her grandson for crying out loud. Gloria was justified today.

Daniel:...and then I told my mom, "No you shut up!" and she all like "But Daniel I'm your mom and stuff and I like love you!" and I was all "Step off, grams!" and then I got drunk that one time and some kid died and it totally wasn't my fault and that's when my mom followed that guy over there to find me, this was before she screwed him though, that was like 5 months later, like forever, but after I ran away cause my girlfriend/wife cut my hair with a Flowbee, yo, can I give a quick shout out? Hey giiirl, this ya booooy Dan-Dan, this goes out to my lil Lilypad, mad love, mad love! [fist pump] Anyway, yeah, find my mind and that kid she had cause we had some crazy times. Crazy times with the moms.

Ooookay, Daniel, we don't need your effin' life story. I thought that came off as completely false, Nick and Daniel recounting how super Phyllis is to TV cameras in the middle of their living room.

And Lily, Jack and Nick in a semi-circle telling Daniel how strong Phyllis is, I expected them to bust out with the chorus of "Family".

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
