I might be paranoid, but it almost feels like someone at P&G or some higher up told JP to start ruining the show so its ratings would be more justifiable for cancelling it when renewal comes up. She's written dark, twisted, repetitive stories on other soaps too. I don't think it's a conspiracy. I do think people are trying to turn things around behind the scenes -- the vets have been on a little more in January, Margo especially, and certain times I get a feeling that part of the show is being ghost written.
