Where will JER go next?

Obviously, I'd love for him to go back to Days, but I'm not sure if that will happen just yet. I'm hoping he goes to GH or OLTL, two shows I used to watch in the past. JER is too good for CBS, but maybe he has what it takes to make ATWT or GL interesting to me.

I could care less about the PSNS cast. It's JER I will follow to another soap.

Maybe he can pen some of those SciFi network movies. You know, like the one titled "Mansquito" Or tha one with the bad CGI Nazi Monster Hulk, or the one with the even worse CGI snake that snapped people in half. Basically, something that already sucks to the point of shameful hilarity.

Hopefully, he will stay in isolation and away from anymore soaps or away from TV in general. My personal desire is for pissed off fans to find him and tar and feather his ass in a public square for all the world to see. He should suffer for what he has done.

As to where he WILL go, probably something like King said. I can see that.

I hear there's an opening as the fry cook at McDonald's.

But much to McD's luck, he'd probably become manager and make the employees wear mermaid costumes.

I hope JERk NEVER goes to another soap, or to anything scripted for that matter. His pen is poison

I don't want the non-talented JER anywhere near GH! I don't want him near OLTL, not after I returned to the show after a long absence! The worst of GH is better than anything he did during his 2nd run on DOOL. All those people getting worked up over the Salem Serial Killer SL!? Ranked #2 in the live ratings? I'll never understand the thinking of DOOL fans. If K. Corday wants to re-hire JER, then by all means, Corday, do it. You're the DOOL head honcho for all time. Papa & Mama Corday must be proud of ya. He helped in the destruction of DOOL & PSN; who in their right mind would hire JER for anything? His career in writing/producing is done forever. He'll never even be hired as a consultant! He should save the money he's made. That may be too late; he may have spent it all on chips, cookies & soda.

LMAO!!

No offense, but that's the first post of yours that I've enjoyed.

Add Tom Langan to the list of guest speakers, please.

I literally had a dream the other night that JER was brought back to Days as headwriter, and Stuart Damon was brought on as a re-cast Mickey Horton, who went then on a killing spree a la "Marlooney." And for some random reason, when all was said and done, he took off in a big red hot air balloon. and then a big windstorm came along and sent the hot air balloon way up into the sky to never come down again.

    • Looking at that list, I highly doubt it.  That list is full of the most mainstream programming on streaming.  While I am sure DAYS does well enough, there is no way it reaches the kind of streaming numbers stuff like Wednesday and Yellowstone are getting.
    • Many have noted that Soap Opera Digest seems to be on it's last legs. A review of the publisher's website shows that they only sell 55,000 copies a week, to an audience with an average age of 54.3 and an income of 35K, which obviously does not make them competitive in advertising market.  Especially when one considers that even Ohio Cooperative Living sells 6x's as many copies per week. But, today's news that their parent company A360media sold the National Enquirer and The Star, which they've been trying to sell for years, leaves them with Us, Closer, and Life & Style (each which sells 3x's more copies per week), and SOD.  Which makes me wonder if SOD's finale may happen this year? Also, what's up with the cooperative community in Ohio that is so fascinating? Please register in order to view this content
    • One of my guys on my Team thinks that P&G directed him to write those crime dramas specifically to mimic what GH was doing. He also said the first was good & then they were ... I believe his exact word was  godawful. For some reason I cannot remember them! D'oh. How long till Catlin & Sally? Or is it Jake & the Loves next? As you can see, I am turned around. Please register in order to view this content On 2-5-1991 Vicky was on the stand impersonating Marley. Cass did not know he was questioning Vicky. Marley had lied to Vicky & told her no rape occurred. Marley had been truthful with Cass that Jake had raped her. Marley admitted in court that Jake had raped her. Afterward, in her anger, Vicky destroyed the first women's restroom she came to. Thanks to Another World Memories on #SoapTwitter!   I believe all of this is on her Emmy reel that she won with.
    • Tom King did a relatively good job writing for Lemay's existing characters.  But King's new characters were terribly ill conceived, and his writing for them was awful.  Had King been smart, he would not have written-off so may of Lemay's characters.  King eventually dedicated at least one fourth of the cast to badly written crime drama, which did not fit the style of Another World.  All soaps occasionally do crime plots, but King over-did it, plus the plots were not compelling.  And for some reason, the next two or three head-writers continued with the bad crime stuff.
    • Oh, how I laughed at that.   You're not. Some people have been saying the same. And Twitter definitely has been arguing that very point along with the potential return of Mary to SLC given she skipped the second season reunion. It sets a standard and people are going to wonder...especially the housewives themselves.   Perhaps he will ask on that one on one. Please register in order to view this content
