1) Has blackmailed her and caused her emotional trauma for months

2) Has tried to sleep with her while she was both vulnerable and/or drunk

3) Has threatened to send her son to a juvenile detention centre

4) Has allowed her to think her son was kidnapped

5) Has actively plotted behind her back with her worst enemy

6) Calls her a "tramp" behind her back

7) Has been simultaneously trying to bed both her and aforementioned worst enemy

8) Has demanded that she choose between him and her son

9) Has encouraged her to cut all ties with her family

Sami and Lucas have both hurt one another terribly but their love is not remotely in doubt. Sami is nothing more than a pawn to EJ. As another poster on here said, it is like watching a cat torturing a mouse. There is nothing "romantic" or "hot" about that. When Sami finds out about one or more of the above crimes, EJ better watch out. He could well suffer the same fate as Alan Harris.

Ok if you want to recap lets do it.

1. Lucas has also blackmailed Sami and caused her emotional trauma for about 13 years (that's a lot longer than a few months )

2. Lucas is a drunk and would rather sleep with Carrie than Sami ( Don't we all love men that prefer our sisters)

3.Lucas has threatened to take her son from her (far worse than juvey which after those childish stunts he could use)

4. You say he allowed her to think her son was kidnapped but if you remember that scene he was quite shocked and confused about that note (rewatch it might refresh your memory)

5. Lucas also has plotted way more than EJ ever could with Sami's worst enemy (remember death row)

6. Lucas has called Sami way worse than tramp over the years, if your gonna get up in arms about 1 bad name then I would expect you should also get up in arms about all the things Lucas has called Sami (if you need a reminder I will be more than happy to help)

7. Lucas has simultaniously tried to bed Carrie and Sami (again I love when a guy prefers my sister)

8.He might have demanded Sami choose between the two but he's right ,she needs to take a stand with her life and grow up

9. I think him encouraging her break her family ties might not be a bad thing, some poeple are better off without their family, expecially when your family doesn't care much for you and thinks your more trouble than you are worth.

However, Sami's done little to deserve any of the bad EJ's thrown her way - she's done nothing to him, but be his friend. That's a tremendous difference.

I'll give you that one she never did anything to EJ, what we need to keep in mind though is that in soaps it's never what meets the eye there is gonna bge more to this story than just EJ is a big bad DImera and wants to bringdown the Bradys. If Lucas and Sami love each other SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much then they wouldn't do these things to each other. I think it's very possible that EJ came in to destroy Sami then unintentionally fell for her. You have to admit it would be a good story, I just hope he doesnt' get all obsessed with her like Stefano did with Marlena I'm sick of the obsession stories.

She it doesn't acually come down to who HS and KC want it comes down to ratings and both of them I'm sure have ratings clauses in their contracts and if it keeps dropping like it has then there will be no Lumi cause there will be no Days. With that being said I'm not worried at all the fans will get what they want in the end and that is EJ/Sami.

Just wanted to add something else that I've noticed about Hogie's writing in the past few weeks or so. It appears to me that Hogie is creating parallel storylines or a motif about children bringing their estranged parents together.

On Friday's show, it was Will attempting to bring his parents together. In past shows, it's Stephanie trying to bring her parents Steve and Kayla together; Claire will bring Shawn and Belle together. Chelsea wanted to bring her parents Bo/Billie together but in the end Shawn will most likely bring Bo/Hope together. Sami has failed in bringing her parents Roman/Marlena back together.

I was reading old summaries of Hogie's 1st year at ATWT and it was interesting how that theme of children bringing their parents together (or tearing their parents apart) played out in the storylines. Lily/Holden's children brought them together. On the other hand, disagreements over child rearing contributed to tearing Barb and Hal's marriage apart.

In another couple of weeks or so, I want to start thread assessing how Hogie is doing with Days so far and comparing/contrasting his writing on Days with his writing on ATWT. I would start one now, but it's still a little too soon IMHO to judge Hogie's writing yet.

How can you blame the bad ratings on Lumi? They haven't even reunited yet. In fact, you can just as easily argue the the fall in ratings was due to Lucas turning AWAY from Sami.

It's actually too early to suggest that any one character, couple or SL is responsible for the rise or dip in the ratings.

And if THIS fan is getting what SHE wants it wouldn't be EJami. Please speak for yourself and not all of DAYS fans.

There is not a shred of evidence that Lumi are responsible for declines in viewership. DAYS got its lowest ratings of the year when JER was pimping Austin/Sami and Lucas/Carrie. I might also point out that the episode of EJ/Sami's first "kiss" drew a pathetic daily rating of 2.3. In contrast, the episode in which Lucas confessed he still had feelings for Sami drew a 2.7. Hogan knows damn well that the vast majority want Lumi...just as they want Bo/Hope, Steve/Kayla and John/Marlena. That is why he is making these couples the focal point of his regime.

As for EJ, I'm sure he'll be great as the new villain on the block.

EJ is only using Sami for his benefit. They are not going to be a couple in the true sense of the word, and anyone who is rooting for "Ejami" is going to be greatly disappointed. Hogan is planning on Lumi as this glove mystery continues. So the only Ejami you're gonna have is if you start writing a fanfic.

I never even said that I didn't like Lucas cuase I do I thik Lucas is really great I think that Bryan is a great actor. I just don't like him with Sami it's not that I even neccesarily want her with EJ, I personally thought that Brandon has been the best for her so far she could really be herself around him. I just plain like LUMI. I think they have amazing chemistry together. She has chemistry with EJ also but not the same blistering hot chemistry she has with Lucas. When they are gettin it on.....Look out.....that ain't your brother sister kissing goin on there!!

I'm watching this episode for the first time right now on SOAPNET'S SPEND SUNDAY NIGHTS IN SALEM marathon.

EJ/Sami have chemistry but LUMI has more and will last. It's no contest IMO.

It has daily numbers too for individual episodes so that is the numbers being mentioned and they are correct. The LUMI day of Lucas admitting his feelings did draw a 2.7. I am not sure if any one thing equals ratings. I don't even think good writing means a thing. I think it is all luck and timing of stories but whatever.

You're entitled to your opinion, Rmichelle. However, when you imply that a particular couple is responsible for a ratings drop and then don't provide one shred of evidence to back that up, you will get an angry response. Like it or not, Lumi remain hugely popular. Ali and Bryan know it. Corday knows it. Hogan knows it. There's a reason Lumi were featured on the recent SOD cover alongside heavyweights like Bo/Hope and Steve/Kayla.
