Damn...2.5 Men is finished. Done.

Chuck Lorre is a ego maniacal !@#$%^&*], make no doubt about it. But he's not gonna put up with bullshit from any of his leads, especially after dealing with the likes of Roseanne and Cybill Shepherd somewhat "early" in his career. He calls the shots, he fights for every disgusting, offensive, barrel scraping fart joke the CBS censors try to cut and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way. Chuck Lorre wins.

Mike and Molly has gained traction, Big Bang Theory could always be relocated to 2.5 Men's slot, or Chuck Lorre could continue the show with Jake, Alan, and Courtney Thorne-Smith for another season.

Did you read the recent New Yorker piece on Lorre? It was far from flattering, but actually made me like the man an awful lot more (and had some great stuff about the tv industry, why Lorre hates single camera sitcoms, etc). The opposite could be said for Sheen.

Whatever the case, I hope it leads to the end of this awful show. I've never understood its appeal.

8 seasons is long enough, and is a respectable run. Lots of sitcoms that are more legendary and were higher rated at their peaks didn't even last this long. Most sitcoms are lucky to make it to season 5 these days.

Chuck Lorre and Warner Brothers will still be able to make a shitload of money of syndication and DVD sales.

At this point, they need to kill off Charlie Harper, let Jake get some girl pregnant. Jake's GF has a boy and leaves him at his doorstep. Alan and Jake spend the rest of the series raising him with Courtney Thorne-Smith, Holland Taylor, and the crass housekeeper.

Courtney Thorne-Smith is on this show?

Yes...she is Jake's girlfriend. She has a son from a previous marriage. Her son and Jake's son are best friends..lol

I think you mean Alan.

Random, but the guy who plays her son grew up two towns away from me. They made a HUGE deal in the papers when he got The Bill Engvall Show but crickets when he got on a show that people actually (and puzzlingly) watch.

Martin Sheen and Christel go to the same church.

NO! For real? I would love to read why Chuck Lorre hates single camera comedies, because(for the most part) I hate them too.

I need to backorder that one.

According to PopEater, "sources close to Charlie" says he's never coming back & the show is done.

http://www.popeater.com/2011/02/25/charlie-sheen-leaving-two-and-a-half-men/

And apparently Charlie is planning to write a tell-all book:

So I guess now, does the show continue without him, which Chuck Lorrie, has said in the past is against, or will CBS/Warner Bros just call it day & move on?

He's under contract for next year, so that's not really his call to make. If he ever comes down, I think he'll have a different take on the situation.

And apparently Charlie is planning to write a tell-all book:

I wish this would happen, but given his "condition", do we really believe he is capable of writing a book? I think this is about as reality based as the show he has going over on HBO.

Maybe it will be an audio book?

I say, Charlie, Lindsay Lohan, and Mel Gibson all team up and do a reality show. :D

Good god, an hour long interview? Charlie is just going to milk this as much as he can. Is ABC going to ask him to do DWTS next time around too?
