I'm Hyped!

All of the articles gaurantee that there will be more interaction amongst the housewives, an integral story involving every house on Wisteria Lane and characters (mainly Bree and Gabby since Susan and Lynette didn't change that much) acting like their true self.

Discuss!!

Awesome so far! Love the introduction of the new mystery. Orson looked like a punk last season... but obviously I would think that things are not as straight forward as they seem. Maybe she is locked up. I don't think he killed her.

Is Lynette still working? Loving that each storyline is being given good airtime. And love that Edie is actually on!!

It was good. Grew tired of the Mike/Susan thing and switched channels when that came on. LOVED Lynette's story tonight. That nosey neighboure in the beginning, LOVE the actress (name slips me), she can play anything perfectly! Nice to see the housewives together again. Loved Gabby! Some great lines tonight. Overall 8/10. Welcome back DH!

ETA: LAURIE METCALF that's her name...PURE GREATNESS.

The HUMOR is back and that's what I loved. I laughed out loud so many times and I haven't done that with DH in a while.

Loved Gabby and Carlos searching for Xiao Mai and Gaby getting the Chinese food dumped on her and then her peeling away from Carlos when he was going to open up to her about his American dream. Gaby is hilarious. Eva Longoria is absolutely perfect as Gaby. Oh -- loved Gabby laughing at Bree telling the girls she and Orson were waiting until they got married.

Bree and the orgasm was hilarious. I actually kinda like Orson. Very intriguing character and Kyle McLachlan is a great actor.

I was bored with the Susan/Mike stuff. It was sweet but eh ... lol. I kinda like Susan with the ComaHusband (his name slips me). And it was hilarious when she spilled the smoothie on ComaWife Jane. LMAO. Teri Hatcher plays clumsy so well.

I enjoyed the Lynette/Tom story as well. Fun. I love Kirsten Warren. She's hilarious.

Laurie Metcalf ... that woman is brilliant. I love her.

It was nice seeing Edie tonight so much! Her trying to sell Mary Alice's house was hilarious. Loved seeing Kathryn Joosten (Mrs. McCluskey) as well.

Good good episode. DH is back baby!!

Great one-liners.

Loved seeing Edie - and Laurie Metcalf!

Other than that, I'm sort of tired of how Bree always ends up with some pyscho - and I'm not a big Kyle M. fan.

They just introduce WAY too many characters on this show...Seems like Susan is always hitting on a new guy or has a new guy hitting on her every 3 episodes. Way too many names that I have to try and remember as they're brought up in the future.

And get that Saved By The Bell chick off the show - she's annoying in this role.

Susan's had 4 love interests on the show. Mike, Karl, Dr. Ron and now Ian. Now that many over 3 seasons and I don't consider Dr. Ron much of a love interest.

And how many characters did they introduce tonight? 2? Ian and Carolyn Bixby. And Orson's wife Alma, if you want to count her. So not that many.

ANYway, I loved the ep. So much fun, I'm watching it again right now.

    • I'm not familiar with Irna's timeline of comings/goings, but I got the impression Neil Wade was written off circa 1967-1968.  (And I might be jumping to conclusions, but I also felt maybe the character was jettisoned because Rosemary Prinz was leaving?)   I know who Doug Cassen is, I think.  Wasn't he one of Claire Lowell's husbands?  They didn't mention Neil was his son.  But clearly there was a LOT unmentioned in the short synopsis that I was reading.
    • That makes sense. Rauch did like to play games, as shown with some of the antics with the Labines. We should make some screencaps.  I can imagine her not being thrilled by much of anything in 1996.
    • I believe he also turned out to be Doug Cassen's son. I could be wrong about that. Yeah, he doesn't get talked about much in the history books.
    • Cady McClain said the same thing with her hairdos - she switched it up so much because she was either unhappy or bored.  Kim must have been unhappy in 1996 because she has so many different short styles, it's wild (haha).
    • She definitely was trying new things with her hair and makeup in the 1986 scenes I saw so it tracks. Rauch wouldn't have been there, but it just strikes me as a conversation Rauch would have had with her with when he was at GL. Rauch loved to badmouth JC. So she put it in the book as if she had been told at the time. It's like how she has Michelle Forbes on GL years before she actually arrives or Ellen Wheeler firing people who had been fired yrs. before by Rauch or Conboy.
    •   From what actors have said, Y&R has been very busy taping the upcoming storyline, and that was up to and including the week of Diamont's party, and after.
    • Well, a good number of sets were up when I was there, but there was a limited number of people around. Even Y&R seemed dead, but maybe everyone was out for lunch at the time? I remember driving from the parking lot and preparing to enter the roadway when I saw Michelle Stafford and Christian LeBlanc returning from what I think was their lunch break. Not sure where they went or were coming from.
    • A scene I cannot wait to see. Julie Harris as Liliemae is the gift that keeps on giving; she's not outright evil, but frustrating, and in her own way, still pretty lovable.
    • Kim used to say that you can tell when she was unhappy because she would try weird or new things with her hair.  I don't think Rauch was at OLTL at the time Zimmer was but their producer at the time probably wasn't much of a peach either.
    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
