Ugly Betty: Discussion Thread

Wow! What a great season premiere. At first I thought Hilda must be imagining it, but then forgot, so it was an "Oh no!" moment for me at the end.

As for Justin, I take his acting out (skipping day camp, stealing glitter) as a sign he is burying his grief - grief is clearly his mother's domain.

Loved the telenovela twists (Alexis at the end!),

I laughed my ass off at that. Camp/soap genius.

And Judith Light and Vanessa Williams are pure gold as rivals. They can only get better.

I love the characters on this show: Betty, Wilemina, Hilda, Marc, Amanda, Justin...and the list goes on. They're all unique in their own special way.

Amen

Maybe he's still in shock.

Fari enough--and he was acting out, an Betty was extra nice to get him that job. STILL I think the main reason he wasn't even a bit more was to not ruin the "twist ending" :P Oh well, a small gripe

For sure. But I suspect we'll see a delayed reaction. He's the child of a single mom. He'll try to be strong and let Hilda do the grieving for a while. He had a father figure in in his grandfather, his real father was a relative newcomer/stanger. He even asked when Ignacio would be back. I don't think we've seen the last of how this affects our Justin.

Now I'm off to watch Tracy Barlow murder Charlie Stubbs on Coronation Street.

What an amazing, amazing premiere! It had everything a soap addict could hope for and then some! I was really excited by it and I will be definitely watching more! (last season, midway through, I kinda gave up). But it was PERFECT! A very, very good, soap madness!

SUCH a good start to the season. How sad, turns out he really did die after all and Hilda was imagining him being there with her. I loved the end when Henry returned! Such a good show, this is going to be a great season:)

Oh the roof scenes were KILLING me - haha. Marc making the storm sounds...the mannequins...haha.

Another great episode. I'm happy they had Justin go to the store his father was killed in, and having a moment.

Vanessa William's acting alongside her cheating ex-spouse Rick Fox was awkward for me, I knew he would be on UB, but I didn't know he would be sort of a love interest for Whilemehia. :o:o:o:blink:

LOL i know I was just about to say that Erica! I thought they had a really nasty divorce.

I loved the scene with the Met plates, I'm a huge Mets fan, "Mom, we're in Queens, you find them everywhere."

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Amanda and the scene with the dog! haha

I'm glad Betty was quiet about Dwayne and Willa, mostly she always puts Daniel first, I love Daniel but I'm glad to see her put her dad first.

haha..Justin and Marc are the best.

Charlie!!!

I love this show.

Yes, I lovedd Thursday's ep! Since they ruined my Henry and Betty, I loveee Gio and her. And Daniel faking being in the wheelchair to get dates, and Betty going over to Jersey to get his special wheelchair.. LMAO! This has to be my favorite show on air, it's so much fun to watch. The end was sweet when Betty's father came home :)
