  1. Me, I don't like Curtis. And I miss Taggert! It's been over 100 days,
  2. Thanks. I have passed that along & people are very interested.
  3. At Y&R Janice Ferri Esser has announced her intent to retire. This is the last of the Bill Bell writers. Once again, we find ourselves in 2024 at the end of an era.
  4. Thank you for your reply. I wish we knew more about BTS at that time. For me the Titan bonk will never seem either justified or unavoidable. And the fact that Marlena tried to save the marriage even after the sexual infidelity tells me that it wasn't unavoidable, that she regretted it at that time. Now I would like to say something to Vee & I need you to quote it so he will see it. Thanks. Sorry to put you in an awkward position. Vee, I'm completely fine with being blocked by you. But, I would ask you then NOT to post about me. IOW, either engage with me, or don't. Not something unfair where you take pot shots at me. I would appreciate it. And, with this, I will just let you alone, completely.
  5. When you lay it out like this it makes me think there was some moment when someone decided NO to RoMar & YES to J&M so the first thing they did, because they were smart, was to damage Roman, which would accomplish the set-up for John to pull ahead. A very calculated plan that they implemented over a number of months. Does that sound like what may have been their strategy? And, in effect, does it explain what people call "poor writing suddenly for Roman"?
  6. “Soap operas only really tell two kinds of stories: romances and family stories. On a really good show, solidly structured, the two are blended: the romances are family stories.” — Patrick Mulcahey
  7. I have the same problem. If it improves at any point I'll go back & FF to that point! Anyone?
  8. Frank's been thinking about this since Christmas so part of what you say must be the case but then it was one script that was the straw that broke the camel's back - the Jason re-entry story.
  9. Under contract at B&B. Little known fact, when he & the other writers were hired to write TEXAS, they were ready but the show wasn't ready for them so they put them to work writing ANOTHER WORLD & that isn't credited online anywhere & it annoys the snot out of him!
  10. Even I am ready to admit that she's better. I'm not sure better is enough.
  11. I mean, yes, Kate is there with Blaze & with the Davis women & also with Sonny! From serious intensity all the way to such flirting! Shippin #Kraze! 💋
  12. Oh, yeah, Nancy Curlee is my next wish right after Mulcahey, although I also wish Bradley Bell would fire Mulcahey's good friend Michele Val Jean. (Not that I want her to have a bad experience, just so she could return to GH now.) One other thing that I think Patrick Mulcahey will bring to the GH Writer's Room that I believe has been lacking, and this is something that has to come from the top, and that is discipline.
  13. He & Nancy Curlee are two of my favorite writers who are alive & were potentially employable as HWs. I'm delighted to see him try his hand at co-leading a team. He's got a great grip on character motivation, on backstory, on relationships, on consistency, on pace, on show politics & behind the scenes. For awhile when he was on Twitter he & talked daily. And, he was Douglas Marland's only protege. I'm very excited.
  14. Yes, the TIME archive is organized & very well laid out. Easy to read. Also easy to CLIP with Chrome extension.
  15. Frank has been thinking about this for a while now & he made the decision last Wednesday. His decision. Not ABC or Disney stepping in. And, Mulcahey has been unemployed for awhile. He was Douglas Marland's only protege. He was waiting tables & writing one act plays when Bridget Dobson called him & got him to come write SB.
  16. Okay, the name that I was given was Mulcahey.
  17. Okay, but if not for Frank, at certain points, possibly just for production & budget reasons, maybe, GH would have been canceled & that has to count for a fair amount in today's soap climate. Because then he wouldn't be at DAYS!
  18. It's all up on the web! Here's the link to, page 6, LOL, it just came up first. https://content.time.com/time/subscriber/article/0,33009,913850-6,00.html
  19. Well, hey, I love James Read, but Clyde has been too much for too long.
  20. And the 3 articles inside are amazing!
  21. But, with the scab writers we had shorter story turnaround, better overall pacing, ... Personally I would guess that the contrast may have been a part of today's decision.
  22. Nope. Of interest. Frank recently had a contract renewal. Little things about the writng: Recently the "big boss" was a woman, midway changed into a man. There was a serial killer "The Hook" who was right handed at first, later used his left hand, even later supposedly when revealed was a woman, not a man. Inconsistencies like that all the time.
  23. Sonny is on every single day. He is even just wandering around the hospital at times or hanging out, waiting for Nina.
  24. Right. Nina is now a point making it a quad.
  25. They would not decide the conclusion of a story ahead of time but instead would make it up as they went along. The show is very unbalanced with too much Sonny, Nina, Carly, Jason. The pacing is off. STories go on far too long.
