I've seen many people express that sentiment. I think I agree with it. In a way I think that AW never fully recovered from the sudden, unexpected & untimely death of Douglas Watson. Marland, same thing, in a way.

I loved Isabella! During so much of this she was miserable but always put on a happy face & a stiff upper lip & John couldn't have asked for a better & more steadfast lover, friend & advocate. No matter how poorly he treated her, she was okay with it. She understood his reason. And if she was ever jealous of Marlena she sure didn't show it. Uh-oh, sounds like I'm describing a saint & a saint on a soap is always a very bad sign!!

Although sometimes their papers go to several places. Continuing with my OG Roman project ... 12-24-91 Day 32 (2-14-24) Today is Christmas Eve. All the Bradys seem to have the spirit. Bo & Carly are at a restaurant & Isabella comes in & joins them. She says that John is getting farther away - not just from her - but from everyone. We see him just wandering outside. He sees a little boy with a problem with his ice skate & he stops & fixes it. Little boy thanks him & says how lucky his kids must be to have him for a Dad. Jack says somehow he has to get to see Jennifer tonight & then he pretends to be a bell-ringing Santa Claus. In the Brady kitchen we see Carolyn with a humongous jar of horseradish. Kimberly tells Shawn that if he will peel the shrimp she will de-vein them. (This is the first I've seen industrial sized horseradish & the first I've seen people on TV talk about peeling shrimp & de-veining them!) Marlena & Roman exchange gifts & kiss for awhile. Right now they kiss as much as Bo & Carly do. I guess they're both newlyweds in a way. John went into a church & found Izzy there, crying. That night at the Bradys Kayla & Kimberly put the angel on top of the tree, together. John was the last to arrive. All the Bradys hugged him except Roman, who very jovially sorta pounded him on his arm. They were all glad to see him. He took gifts over to the twins & at first they wouldn't take them but Kayla gave Sami a little nod & she reached out & so Eric did too. It's really hard seeing John struggle so.

Well, tbf, they’ve admitted their mistake Even back then Doug Marland was so mad that he quit & Pat Falken Smith was completely against it. Both Tony Geary & Genie Francis thought it was ludicrous! So it was just "the suits" saying something that made no sense.

Still all too appalling! Of course she is! She is diabolical. When Brady & Kristen fight, at any moment I expect it to begin to rain, thunder & lightning right there in the room! They create so much energy. (And if it were sexual, I cannot imagine!) And they created her & now they have these toxic events, creating so much energy, raw energy.

I wonder if he thought back to that moment later on ... Very interesting reading your reaction! I wonder if her statements came out of an overactive guilty conscience. Or maybe dancing she just felt very exposed & that was uncomfortable.

All I know is the regular, daily forum, now in February, and the Classic thread. I thought we all post spoilers here but use spoiler space protection that is in the software.

With DAYS you have to divide it. For the most part, Classic DAYS was filled with excellent actors & acting! It's only later that the show began to have bad actors & bad acting. Like in the 80s the only examples of bad acting were three young women - KA, Lisa Trusel & Missy Reeves. We used to say that Hope & Melissa & Jennifer Rose were having races to see who could say their lines the fastest & quick like scoot offstgage.

In Salem it is still Valentine's Day & what a time they are having in Salem. About this scab-written show, it is now so much like the show of DAYS gone by! Don't you think & feel that? So, what is now mysterious? The cop shop has a mole. It could be one guy or one gal. We do not know. And we had a false text message sent. It showed up as if it were from Ava but she didn't send it. And, Xander got that mysterious call, with a voice distorter being used & showing as from UNKNOWN. It was asking him to eliminate someone, also unknown who. And, last night after the fire Chad also got a call from UNKNOWN, using a voice distorter & telling him that maybe he would listen the next time. We feel sure that Xander was neither of the evildoers. And, we do think that there were two. Both seemed male. Even with the full masks it looked like a guy. Jada says that this gun was found at Xander's apartment & the ballistics match up with Harris's bullet remains. Oh, yeah, Harris is still in very serious condition because of internal injuries. I haven't thought much about them. But EJ has his hands full because of Nicole & Holly & their baby. Johnny's been thinking about whether there is a curse that will harm Chanel. And, Stefan is just all over the place. Plus, nothing has gone right for Chad since Abby was murdered in the D mansion. Now he thinks it was arson at Horton House & that someone is trying to kill someone, maybe him. I feel 2 ways about Kristen. First, I was so pleased that Brady started naming some of the terrible things she's done & even included that she raped Eric. These writers are saying things that the fans say! Then it was perfect. Rachel reacting to them fighting again. Showing the effect of toxicity on the children of divorce. But on the other hand, when she is being nice & looks so good, Kristen is so appealing. Rachel is smart & clever. I doubt she acts like an evil spawn in class. I agree about Sarah. But, oops, too late for them to have a happy time. The next conflict is already on top of them. I like the many complications that are in the show right now. Finally a real whodunnit! But, yes, I am impatient to know the status of those ornaments! Probably I am the only one with a positive about Alicia Leigh Willis & that's because she was the last Alli Fowler on AW. One thing I found odd. Stefan & Ava sitting in a chapel. Later she speaks about feeling helpless & they won't let her sit with Harris, so all she can do is pray. But, why is Stefan there with her? I mean I know it's so he can be her "talk-to" but there is no character motivation for him to be there.

I think it is important for fans to say what they want, what is essential, as well as what they don't want, which is easy. The lesson learned from both Maureen Bauer and Frankie Frame when people didn't know & fully understand they were important even when they didn't happen to be frontburner is a lesson that cannot be underestimated. So, here are 7 charges I make to the new writers with my fingers crossed. 🤞 #1-Marcus Taggert: Reâl Andrews said he would be there with bells on if GH called. Call him! #2-Cut from the cast: Violet, Gregory, Finn, Maxie, Spinelli, Maxie's children except James, Marshall, Stella & Drew. #3-Maintain all of the Qs except Drew. Maintain Lois, guest of the Qs. Maintain the Davis women & TJ & Blaze. Maintain Carly, Ava, Trina, Dante, Sam, Sam's kids, Liz & Liz's kids. Maintain Laura, Kevin & Anna. #4-Make sure stories have stakes & pay-off. #5-Try to write well-paced stories with balance. #6-See a little less of Sonny, Nina, Carly & Jason. #7-Remember to tell stories about the hospital. And, if I gave myself a #8 it would be to rebuild the Cassadines & Laura's children. It's a pain that those of us who watch on Hulu, do not get this preview of the next day's show.
