My favorite DAYS recasts Susan Seaforth Hayes as Julie #4 Mark Valley Robert Kelker-Kelly Cady McClain Krista Allen Lauren Koslow Stacy Haiduk

Could not stand her. She was only marginally able to be called an actor at all. She was too tall & didn't look at all like petite Jennifer but if she'd been a capable actor I could've overlooked that. She was not.

I'm an actual Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux fan myself & I enjoy Cady in the role. And, I've been around plenty. Of course, you probably think I'm a hater. I am completely against having Missy back on the show but I do not hate her. Basically you're talking about people who did not give the recast a chance. There's not a problem with the acting. Their problem is that she's not Missy. They/You likely would not accept anyone as a recast.

That's ridiculous. I do not even know of any Missy haters in existence. Never seen any anywhere & that covers many platforms.

First time you pick one up is strange. All the weight is on one end; no weight in middle or other end.

I said "Agree to disagree." several volleys back. I know we don't agree on it. Been there. It's not just the actor who makes a character, nor is it just the writing. It is a combination of things, including both the writing & the actor. And, it is simple. For example end days GL Wheeler waited & waited wanting Peter Simon for Ed when she should have recast & told her story correctly & timely. It is not a question of THE proper actor but A proper actor. Soaps effectively do recasts. Always have, always will. Cady & Stacy are both examples of excellent actors who are capable. Subjective opinions that one does not like so-and-so are just that, differences of opinion, but that doesn't negate the actor being excellent, capable, etc. I'll just point out that she has been wildly popular & is a multiple Emmy winner. A great many DAYS fans buy her as Jennifer Rose. It really has nothing to do with my being a fan of hers. I do not find either of these statements to be true. Now, enough. This is boring and repetitive. At any rate I'm done.

But, there is no reason for the show to temporarily kill off a character when they want that character onscreen & a good recast is possible. In this case not only was the recast good but was also an Emmy-winning actress. Obviously the show made the right decision. And, now I suggest we can take this no further. We just disagree, which is fine. Both of our opinions are valid.

It's not a question of whether someone on recurring gets to choose to accept work or not. However, if they choose not to work then the show has to be held blameless in recasting with someone who is more available to work. About Matt Ashford I honestly do not know what in the heck was going with some of the truly terrible writing he got for Jack. But, if you ask me, more than once, the writing for the character was abusive to the character, the actor & the fans! Also to character integrity & show history!

We are probably going to have to agree to disagree. 1. It was said that she did. 2. She absolutely positively chose to stay in TN rather than fly to CA to tape the show on a few occasions in the past few years.

Yabbut, remember I now like Cady in the role & have a problem with Missy. And you still like Missy. BITD Missy hadn't made any controversial statements that were homophobic or racist nor had she refused to fly cross country to report for work. And she certainly hadn't had an affair with Jason. Now she's done all of that. Plus, I always had certain reservations about Jack as a rapist. So you're gonna wish I had not made this reply. Agree to disagree!. DAYS top couples, in order, lessee, RoMar, Bope, Stayla, Doug & Julie, Bo & Carly, Challie This past week UglyX formerly Twitter has been celebrating Drake & they had several days of celebrating specific things & the last one was favorite Drake scene on the show. Well my favorite used to be one of those Father of the Year scenes but it changed last year & became the rooftop scene with the green screen use & the photos through the years & John just sitting with & talking to Marlena while she was literally dying. I consider that scene Emmy reel!

12-25-91 Day 33 (2-16-24) In Salem it is Christmas Day & at the Hortons they have the annual traditional hanging of the Horton family ornaments, where there is an individually decoraed ball ornament for every member of the extended family. Jack fell into the room & landed on the tree which fell completely over. Jennifer & Jack saw each other & looked shocked but then recovered & embraced & kissed one very long kiss & then she pulled away to try to get a look at him, I thought, but then she absolutely slugged him, closed fist!

Ah, I see what you did there! When you say it, it comes together nicely. And, about the axe throwing, all totally weird to me!

I don't know what it is about this week, but I am just beat.

I can only imagine it's like one of those things where they get local businesses to put up money on ransoming some citizen out of the jail. They always seem stupid to me. Basically the people who donate are just giving because they want to. However the way they're doing it has to be a corollary of SHOW Don't TELL. They're leaving us out of any of the clues.

I was one of the few who enjoyed all of the white spaces & the Megan Tech & all of the emotion that supported it. What I didn't like was that they just dropped any semblance of the people back in Salem grieving after those first 3 days of them "dying". Then they ran the two places as two separate stories, which I am sure was part of its originally being a Beyond Salem 3. But it was the wrong choice for drama!

The TIME archive online is excellent, well-organized, easy to read & also easy to capture into Notes. (If you use Chrome & OneNote add the extension for capture.) I am also sure, as Soapsuds mentioned, that there are copies or scans of articles from soap mags of the time, Digest, Weekly, In Depth, etc. Two places I would search are tumblr and Pinterest. Lots of articles are scanned & saved by collectors on both sites. Also if I found out what mag had an article about him I might buy a back copy from SOAP WORLD, which is on the web & is an excellent resource if you can pony up the cash. And if it were me, I would also try to read everything that was said when he died. There were many almost eulogistic tributes by people who worked with him or soap journos like Marlena de La Croix.

Do you mean video interviews? I’ve also just seen Passions interviews. You might want to read what Eileen Davidson said in a longish interview obviously about playing 5 characters, how it got started, how it evolved, how they overworked her, how Reilly apologized to her, how she won an Emmy, etc. It started because she casually said, "Why don't I just play that part?" when they began talking about casting Susan Banks. And then it goes on. Plus if you haven't I would go to Marlena de LaCroix's website & read any & all that she talks about Reilly. I realize I have not answered your question. Because I have no idea where any are, or if they are.

The show's celebration of Valentine's Day was excellent, I thought. And the actress played it so well. Such a welcoming speech she had begun & then she SAW HIM & turned on a dime & screamed, "Bobbie!" with such horror in her voice that I have redoubled my concern about what kind of evil this guy may be!!! STFU Theresa! And also while I'm at it, STFU Stefan. AND STFU Alex. I can't wait for Alex to get his comeuppance.
