  1. Top 3 prediction: 1. Deidre Hall, 2. Drake Hogestyn, 3. Kristian Alfonso
  2. @YRfan23 That's because inconsistent SORASing messed up the timelines so we didn't get viable generations of high school/college/early career in the 1990s/2000s/2010s/today.
  3. Top 6 prediction (ABC order): Kristian Alfonso, Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Peter Reckell, Frances Reid, Alison Sweeney.
  4. When CBS was at one of its lowest points Save CBS | EW.com
  5. Susan Seaforth Hayes the second entry that worked w/ Bill Bell on two shows. Top 9 prediction (ABC order): Kristian Alfonso, John Clarke, Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Peter Reckell, Melissa Reeves, Frances Reid, Suzanne Rogers, Alison Sweeney.
  6. Lauren Koslow the second entry that went from Y&R to Reilly Days. Top 12 prediction (ABC order): Kristian Alfonso, Macdonald Carey, John Clarke, Deidre Hall, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Drake Hogestyn, Peter Reckell, Melissa Reeves, Frances Reid, Suzanne Rogers, Alison Sweeney, Josh Taylor.
  7. 1985, the first year Younger Actress was awarded. Tracey Bregman won that year.
  8. Also Knots Landing season 12-14 overlapped w/ season 1-3 of Beverly Hills 90210. Dallas final season overlapped w/ season 1 of Beverly Hills 90210. Knots Landing final season overlapped w/ season 1 of Melrose Place. Funny how the final seasons of the first 1980s primetime soap and its spinoff (technically both premiered in the late 1970s but they are mostly associated w/ the 1980s) overlap w/ the first seasons of the first 1990s primetime soap and its spinoff.
  9. If we're keeping it real here, NBC has not been successful in daytime for the better part of the last 45 years. I'm not surprised at all that they are the first network to have all their soaps come to an end. It's quite telling that their longest-lasting soap lineup in the last 45 years has been Days nearly 15 year period as NBC's sole soap.
  10. I think the Top 15 will be (in ABC order) Kristian Alfonso, John Aniston, Macdonald Carey, John Clarke, Deidre Hall, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Drake Hogestyn, Lauren Koslow, Peter Reckell, Melissa Reeves, Frances Reid, James Reynolds, Suzanne Rogers, Alison Sweeney, Josh Taylor.
  11. @Chris B Season 7 is also when LML shows up in the writer credits and we all know the damage she did to Y&R two decades later.
  12. Fall 1982 to Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps and in that era, Knots Landing set itself apart from the others with high emotional stakes character driven storytelling. @Vee season 4 and 5 recaps really highlight that element.
  13. Susan Flannery the first entry that worked w/ Bill Bell on two shows. Eileen Davidson the first entry that went from Y&R to Reilly Days. I'm thinking the next entry on this list from Bill Bell Days that later worked w/ him again would be Susan Seaforth Hayes and the next entry on this list that went from Y&R to Reilly Days would be Lauren Koslow.
  14. @will81 @Paul Raven Bill Bell lost interest in Nathan when Shemar Moore blew up in popularity.
  15. For whatever reason Bill Bell didn't explore Kristen/Felicia sister relationship. I could see them fighting over Clarke. I remember Felicia having some flirtation with Clarke but it ended up not going anywhere. The writer's strike was over and Sally arrived. That's when B&B really hit its stride.
  16. Shari Shattuck and Eddie Winslow, I mean Darius McCrary, own this list.
  17. Y&R more garbage time, yuck. How much are we going to have to take until the 50th anniversary?
  18. The cozy "Maltese Falcon": How "Murder, She Wrote" reinvented mysteries forever | Salon.com Murder, She Wrote pretty much paved the way for all those Hallmark mystery movies. Recalling the unexpected success of Angela Lansbury's 'Murder She Wrote' - Los Angeles Times (latimes.com) LOL at Angela Lansbury mistakenly calling Miami Vice as Miami Heat. Two promos for the premiere
  19. Y&R went off track Fall 1994 (the aftermath of OJ) through the first half of 1997. It rebounded during the second half of 1997 to lead into the 25th anniversary. 1998 was the last year I'd say Y&R was truly excellent.
  20. Boy Meets World's Maitland Ward Opens Up About Adult Film Career (people.com) Anyone going to read her book?
  21. Was Ian Buchanan a big get for Bradley in 1993? I know he was popular on General Hospital and Twin Peaks.
  22. Big fat word to this. Also Sally has made Chelsea and Chloe redundant. I've been saying for years that Y&R needs a good housecleaning. @soapfan770 That GIF is everything!
  23. With Days run on NBC lasting 56 years 305 days, it will finish as the third longest running daytime drama on US network television, behind General Hospital and Guiding Light. Days would have moved past Guiding Light on January 30, 2023.
  24. I agree, the main reasons being that Y&R/B&B primarily draw the 50+ audience and international sales.
  25. Mishael Morgan has way too much talent for daytime. She needs to move on to bigger and better things.
