  1. If ANYONE had any spine and balls in Congress, they'd forget the 25th Amendment and go for Article II, Section 4, and oust EVERY LAST POS CRIMINAL in the Trump Circus. This wasn't self defense. It was cold-blooded MURDER.
  2. Sarah and Brady have the same issue that Sarah/Eric have. Two nice (and for all his issues, Brady is more white hat than gray as of now) people that are dullsville together. To me, they have no spice, but nice friendship vibes. So I'm not up for a triangle, either. But it doesn't mean I want Kristen to reunite with Brady, either. Said this before, but why not test out Cat and Brady? Also, it's just weird how Brady has competed with both of his uncles (Xander and Phillip, Isabella's half-brothers, even if they didn't know her and vice versa!) for women, first Chloe, now Sarah. A bit oogy, to me. Branch out from the family and from the DiMera lunacy, Brady!
  3. I do appreciate it! Thanks, @DRW50 ! Happy New Year! 😊
  4. The House Judiciary Committee has released Jack Smith's testimony:
  5. Happy New Year to everyone here!
  6. This is not getting much press, surprise, surprise, but Iowa had a special election tonight for its State Senate...and Renee Hardman, the Democrat, beat her Republican challenger, Lucas Loftin, 71% to 29%! By doing so, this win dashed Iowa GOP hopes of reclaiming a super majority (which ended following the victory of Catelin Drey, another Democrat, a few months ago!). She is also the first black woman elected to the Iowa State Senate!
  7. Silly me. I thought spoiler clips were supposed to make people want to tune in! Aside from the sweet Steve/Kayla moment, my eyes glazed over.
  8. Cool, thanks, as always! 👍👍
  9. I was just coming to post this! I think it was especially well done, and it seemed to meld the old-style TCM tributes with the dialogue with the new, i.e. music style and such. And considering the sheer enormity of talent lost, not to mention very recently and in such a horrible way, this turned out better than I imagined, not looking at all rushed.
  10. Well, to be fair, HIPAA wasn't a law until 1996! And hey, Kayla breaks that law on the regular today...
  11. I will say I think the Jeremy actor (forget his first name, though I know the last is Roark, ironic since Roark Critchlow plays Dad Mike!) is actually pretty decent, and I'm fine with him not interacting too much with Alex if it means Jeremy would be sacrificed. (Yes, I know the character has a bad history, but crap on this show is mind wiped/altered all the time. And to lose a decent actor in the name of freaking Alex just seems wrong to me.)
  12. Well, 2025 can just leave right now. What a horrific weekend it has been, and this is just the schitt cherry on top. May Tony Geary fly with the angels, along with the many others lost this past weekend.
  13. I'm beyond stunned. This is awful! Hope whomever is responsible is apprehended quickly and thrown in prison.
  14. Which is strange because, if I recall, Deidre and Andrea are (well, were, since Dee Hall had work done!) identical twins! I do remember reading a whole spread in one of the soap mags when DH returned in '91, chronicling her real-life wedding. And there were photos of both sisters together, and there, they did look alike! The wedding guests must have agreed, since the write up mentioned the guests standing up too early when they saw Andrea coming down the aisle (as MOH).
  15. Charlotte looks great!
  16. I have reservations about this return, only because Dan Gauthier outright said he did zero research on Peter's backstory. I don't expect him to mimic Jason Brooks, but I would expect him to know key tenets of his character's history!
  17. The Pitt got a cover on Entertainment Weekly. and there is an article about behind the scenes and what to expect for Season 2, which will premiere on January 8, 2026. https://ew.com/the-pitt-stars-creator-preview-season-2-cover-story-exclusive-11864547
  18. Brady and Sarah are...nice. Like warm socks out of a dryer. But the only sparks they generate is if they stick a fork in an outlet. (To me!) It's the same issue, IMO, Sarah had with Eric: In theory, two good (well, Brady is more gray, but good as of late!) people together is great, but edge is needed. I think it's why, back in the day, Steve/Kayla and Jack/Jennifer worked. And John seemed a bit more complicated (since the writers were making his past up as they went along) after being de-Brady-ed, which added something to John/Isabella. John/Marlena also had the affair and the Roman/Sami angles. And I think that's why Sarah/Eric failed, and why I think Sarah/Brady seem headed for the same fate. Not that I want Brady with psycho Kristen. I'd rather she vanish. But rather than EJ, why not try Brady and Cat?
  19. Another Nicole. Kind of funny.
  20. Apparently, The Pitt is airing in 3-hour blocks every Monday night on TNT unedited, from 9:00 p.m. until midnight ET, unedited* (*except for F bombs, apparently) through December 29th. So, obviously, Episodes 1 through 3 have aired (perhaps TNT will repeat them?).
  21. Way back when Zander/Alexis were bonding, I was thinking maybe HE would have been her long-lost child. Would have been interesting, considering the Nikolas connection vis a vis Emily. But then the show went with Sam. Sigh. I think Chad would have rocked that. And I wouldn't mind him returning if I wasn't certain he'd be crapped on again - but then, that's the case for so many on this show.
  22. Actually, I get Brady's attitude towards Marlena: His daughter is a psycho, shot someone, and Marlena kept quiet instead of doing what Brady had the guts to do and lock Rachel up for treatment. (Too bad, for certain reasons, it'll likely be a waste, but his intent is the correct one!)
  23. Just remembered another one, going back...but Zander Smith on GH. Actor Marc Brett originated the role, the stereotypical brute/heavy. Then Chad Brannon took over, continued the story and kidnapped Amber Tamblyn's Emily Quartermaine, people loved them (me included!), and the rest was history. (If I recall, Brannon himself said the role was only supposed to be short term, but again, the audience responded to Zander and Emily, despite the show valiantly pushing Juan/Emily, and it was another instance of the writers thankfully going where the chemistry took them. Not bad for what was supposed to be short-term, even getting a father in Lane Davies' Cameron [albeit written terribly!] and a friendship with NLG's Alexis...) Sucks that the character became roadkill for recast Emily/Nik, but at least Brannon got the Emmy for his trouble, and a lookalike flew off in a plane with Rebecca, Emily's out-of-the-blue twin (which made zero sense given the Paige Bowen story, but hey...).
  24. This, this, this. One of the worst mistakes the Dobsons made was firing Carrington Garland.
  25. Glynn Turman had an awesome guest role as the perp in the Law & Order: Criminal Intent third season episode, "Pravda" (which also featured Judd Hirsch and Anthony Mackie), who played a professor father so enraged that his journalist son (Mackie) was a plagiarist, that he was going to murder him! Here's that end scene. Turman was excellent!
