I was looking up old TV schedules and noticed that KTLA in LA aired Another Life at 8:00 in the morning! Wow talk about a bad time slot for the show.

Aww I forgot all about MarkH heh. Y&R frequently made the cover of TV Guide in Canada a lot. Circa 1981 when Y&R moved moved back into the 12:30 ET spot CBS also began running an actual 12:00 ET/11:00 CT feed for Y&R so the Central Time zone stations could air local news at noon, so Central Time(and any Mountain Time Zone stations that Y&R at 10:00 there’s a few who did) start Y&R a full 30 mins ahead before the east coast. I don’t think any other network did that with any other soap, not even ABC with AMC until CBS began morning feeds for GL.

Yes, it was around the time Lucas was working for Tony and Sami fell through the glass doors at the DiMera mansion. Kate’s past as Stefano’s favorite call girl was revealed, and she told Lucas she had no idea who his father was. Yikes. But with the change from Higley to JER it wasn’t followed up on, probably for the best. Thanks I couldn’t remember when exactly both Lucas and Will changed their surnames to Horton.

It’s an interesting idea but then again have been to be thankful that given that many Days relations are already borderline incest that we did have Marlena. Otherwise the Hortons and Brady’s would be more intertwined than the Forresters and Logans are on B&B. I do remember back in 2002-early 04 as far as Lucas they were pushing Lucas to be a possible lost DiMera heir especially during the first Higley era but that plot was dropped but JER himself Lucas finally started going around as Lucas Horton out of nowhere lol.

It was also nice to see Summer just about crap her pants and hold her stomach when Victoria told her with a smile the dress was designed by Sally. I doubt we’ll get any follow-up scenes next week but it was nice Sally finally found a moment to shine. Why the show has never bothered to bring back Cole in some form is beyond me, especially since Peck & Heinle had worked together on AMC. To which Peck is ALSO the same exact age as Burgi but Peck always played & looked way younger.

I see the Ben/Ciara Antichrist story is also moving forward as well 🤣

I almost wish she had been paired and married Victor because the her exit story with her marriage to Brad just seemed really insane and making Paul and Brad bitter rivals over Cassandra and then Lauren was a bit much, even though I enjoyed it.

It would have been interesting if Ashland actually had a couple of older kids to at least give the canvas some additional fresh blood as well.

LOL they did indeed. I mean some of the cast went out to bigger and better things (Keri Russell and Charisma Carpenter for one) you think they would have put it in a better time slot. But instead NBC put it in JAG’s old slot after they cancelled it and moved it off to CBS. Yikes. Randy Spelling was on it of course. Greg Vaughan later did another Spelling show with his really crappy forgettable role as Dan on Charmed during its second season. Double yikes.

I forgot about Susan Ward on Malibu Shores. That was like the early version of Sunset Beach except for teens, and for whatever reason aired on Saturday nights on NBC when no young people were home lol.

LOL I forgot all about Noah, Tessa, Zach, Abby and the trafficking story. They brought back Alice Johnson to kill her off right for that? Yikes. I think that was the transition between SSM and Mal taking full control. Speaking of past events it seems like this wedding, while the villa set is nice and all and looks a lot better than Y&R has a lot lately maybe about the most of overhyped uneventful non-event since Kyle & Lola’s wedding. Fan theories are definitely more interesting than anything playing out on the show right now. Ugh.

The levitation scene was no where as cheesy as I thought it was going to be. I wish they could have at least brought back some of the original scores for this, especially after they kept the original music from the Night Sins flashbacks yesterday. I agree Feuerriegel‘s curly hair looked really good today too. It’s to see that for a change.

Ya I have it that Ward last appeared as Eugene Levy in 1998. My guess had he lasted longer he would have been killed off by Carmen Santos or something.

I really appreciated the flashbacks to the Night Sins episode today, even keeping the original score in track. I’m guessing the Ben/Ciara baby is going to turn out to be the Antichrist lol? Johnny’s movie casting is the silliest thing since the Josh & Reva movie on GL lol.

Bingo! I always try not to be so harsh on both Ron Raines and Marj Dusay because I do feel they gave it all they could but somewhere better writing really could’ve helped both of them out. The crap stories about “Who is A. Spaulding?” and that clusterfuck about Amanda’s true paternity were really dreadful. But I enjoyed their moments and accepted them both in the long run, probably because I was more forgiving of GL than I should have been.

Yep! I know it’s been answered already but he played Blake Joseph, a lackey of Colin’s who was blackmailing Cane and I think Blake even got himself a job at Crimson Lights and Cane had to pass off Blake as a friend from Australia to Lily. Blake later died on the church steps with Cane/Caleb at Jill & Colin’s wedding in their shootout. it was all really bad story overall lol.

I think Maura West and definitely Paul Leyden followed Hogan Sheffer over to Y&R after ATWT ended. When Gary Tomlin started directing Passions in 2003 that’s when we saw an influx of Sunset Beach alumni come on the show.

For me that was one of the last storylines I thoroughly enjoyed leading right up into Who Shot Roger? which I enjoyed as well despite Mark Jennings from Dynasty playing Billy Lewis at the time ugh. After that story ended I felt the show kind of went off the rails as 1994 progressed. I don’t recall having much of a problem with Dusay’s Alex until the Nick & Mindy 1994 wedding garbage occurred. I mean I always like Marj but of course she was no Beverlee and the putrid writing for Alex certainly did her no favors at all.

In a way it was a nice little throwback for Deacon to initially attempt to stay sober….I remember during Deacon’s original run he was such a multi-layered character and villain. I always loathed what Y&R did with Deacon and his later B&B runs did with him. LOL surprised Deacon hasn’t visited Quinn yet.

I’m not sure where this Billy saves the day stuff is coming from either. Billy and Victoria haven’t been an item in several years. It reminds of last year when Billy had to play hero in The Who Shot Chance mystery even though Billy had ZERO reason to be involved. Yikes! As for JG Sony should have never touched him after his last go around at Days with Ciara’s rape. What a mess.
