Well said @Taoboi I was trying to get to a point to recap/summarize what I liked, but it seemed to me almost every episode last week got bogged down with the “poor wittle Billy” so there was a lot of FF and skipping scenes from me. Personally I could use a month long vacation from Billy, and have him come back to get involved with Jabot again. This whole Abbott-Chancellor is completely pointless I forget it’s even going on when FF’s. Definite highlights for me were Jack &Diane’s anniversary night, Sharon, Faith/Lucy, Summer vs. Kyle, Sally, and of course the highlight for me was Jack just gleefully sitting back and let Diane unleash her worst on Phyllis lol. I too was pleased to see Diane won. I agree CH did a great job but the it just highlighted for me how much more the show could have gotten out of had Ava been born ie Sally and Adam gaining some maturity and finding their way back together, Adam finally raising one of his kids from the start etc. Instead a year later it’s all about keeping a one night stand with Chelsea secret. Yuck. JG should be ashamed. One definite lowlight for me was anything Devon/Abby…I mean I get Abby appeared to remind us as viewers that she does indeed still exist lol but the vibes weren’t there. Then on Friday there was the line about how she likes it when Devon wears socks to bed…? Erm, who wrote THAT? The whole second proposal seemed unnecessary but hey since we as viewers probably forgot they were engaged lol… And another great EB moment when Victor told Summer it was “fixed”. Haha love it. Now I need to catch up on this week.

Lol I get your guys point at least B&B shows fun scenes like this. I admit I watched Dream a Little Dream in theaters as Corey Haim was one my crushes back in the day, Danny and Rock On’ was cheesy to me then and it’s even cheesier now. @Soapsuds Maybe they should have asked Jack Wagner back for an episode or two of a subplot where Nick visits Ridge & Brooke so he could sing with Danny.

Despite the 5 year rut of having Josh Griffith churn out one boring story after the other and after living through the insanity of Pratt and Mal Young, that particular still stands out the worst story in Y&R history ever told, and certainly a contender form one of Daytime’s worse stories ever told. The surreal absurd setup leading to Skye’s death, the fact Skye was already presumed dead twice (or thrice?), the cheap looking volcano we itself, the fact Victor knew Sharon was innocent all along but had to plea the 5th with Sharon being perfectly accepting and understanding, the fact a criminal trial for a murder in Hawaii occurred in Wisconsin, Jack and Phyllis’ faux surfer and valley girl accents, Sharon opening her legs to every man she met while faking her death, destruction of Doris Collins, the Piper girl who supposed to played by Camryn Grimes until she dropped out, Sharon’s “love” Adam destroying evidence, Sharon sharing a cell with crazy Daisy and whoever was accused of Diane’s murder for the week, and eventually Phyllis being Sharon’s savior for finding the evidence in the most deux es machina way possible and the fact the story lasted a whole [!@#$%^&*] 11 months was absurd. Oh and throw in some unexplainable betrayal Ricky Williams did to Heather for the icing on the cake.

Well don’t we already have Adam and Billy for this? Lol. Seriously it’s overkill for me on how Sharon’s has been written for the last 15 years. We all wanted her to have story but THIS is what we get? 🙄 Her bipolarity, kleptomania, and of course faking her death during the volcano story. Whenever I think of Sharon from that era I always think of that time Phyllis digitally altered Sharon’s photo to make her look like a creepy demon and published it in Restless Style @YRfan23 🤣

What a mess of an era, I’m not sure we’ll ever learn the truth or clear up any misinformation from that period, much like the long persistent rumor that Liz died “falling up the stairs” which I recall someone cleared that rumor up in this very thread. It was also stated Irna found the whole Dan/Susan/Paul/Liz stuff offensive and tawdry…but for her to turnaround and give the audience the whole Jennifer/Bob/Kim story seems rather strange and contradictory.

I think it was back in November when we last saw Elena during Chance getting shot again lol. I figured TSJ was gone, but the show never gave an official airdate and some folks have asked if he’s supposed to air again but the story is clearly over and moved on unless he pops for Devon & Abby’s wedding or something. Agreed. The “uneasy sillinessgone amok” is obviously JG writing with Kent being “Executive in Charge” 😉

Two things I noticed in those closing credits: -I see TSJ is gone for good so I’m guessing he isn’t going to reappear at all -Brytni Sarpy finally off contract lol? @YRfan23

I agree with @Maxim the SOC boards are trash (think the worst of the MediaDomain days @Soapsuds @DRW50) That said the loss of the some of those character profiles, family trees as well as the potential loss of decades worth of daily recaps is pretty unsettling to myself that I would hate to see that part of SOC just disappear and hold out hope the web archive actually captured something. It reminds me of Yahoo Groups shuttering a few years back; obviously an obsolete thing in this day and age but really shameful that so much information, discussion and content was erased and forgotten about with no way of actually seeing it again.

Thanks for starting @Liberty City Hahahaha I hate to spoil stuff some of folks behind, but I actually am loving the reveal that Lily has the upper hand in not only playing Billy but also revealing she’s one step ahead of Victor in the matter is icing on the cake. THIS is the Lily we always needed yet the show always diminished. Poor Sharon…..but of course as she stated she didn’t get a chance to grieve Rey because there was no funeral…I blame Josh Griffith on that one Sharon lol, but still what a mess. Why was Connor Floyd reduced to recurring again?? I’m jealous of Summer at least having the sexiest man on the canvas! 😁

Wow, this is wild to read but also a major WTF too. I mean I like the idea of expanding SOC’s mission to include international soaps but to include MCU stuff…? Reminds me of SPW’s coverage of Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, and putting American Idol on the front cover during its final years. It would be extremely shameful if all those old recaps and databases are lost though. I don’t know where they would end up at.

Ugh just watching today’s 7/31 episode makes me feel sad for Sharon hallucinating a whole conversation and a kiss with Nick in broad daylight OMG. Why has Sharon gone off her rocker this time?

Well I’m thrilled to finally see some details on this, especially getting a filming schedule, filming in Atlanta as I hoped, but also to see a DC/MD setting….it sounds promising. Interesting to see Guza come out of retirement for this as well, I hope we have a positive from this and not a negative effect. I had wonder about his whereabouts following Meg’s passing, glad he’s keeping busy with this project.

I thought she was at least better than Pelley and Glor, both who were terrible IMO. No anchor replacement announced yet it sounds like CBS will be rotating anchors after she’s out.

Hahahaha. Only downside is Billy is already to setup to fall back on Lily, so the blowup will probably last like 30 seconds and then it will all be over. This pointless iteration of Billy and Chelsea always just struck me as just friends, nothing long term and not much chemistry for starters. I forgot they we’re supposed to be in a “relationship” tbh. Nope lol! It never made sense for Adam and Chelsea to sleep with each other in the first place, and this OCD story has been TERRIBLE from the get go. Add to your earlier comment, Chelsea is absolutely unhinged over this too. Forget Connor and Sharon, it’s Chelsea who needs to be committed! 🤣 And THIS is supposed to be the same character once know as Chelsea the Great Con? 😂 With Chelsea being so obvious, why didn’t Billy ask her point blank in private instead of excruciatingly long drawn out conversations in Crimson Lights? At least 7/30’s Kyle/Jack blowup was semi-decent to watch. I liked Diane’s angle but I also relished Audra reeling Kyle in on his leash in the afterward scenes reminding him SHE’s in charge.
