Oh it’s definitely a bit creepy and should provoke some ambivalence. The key, of course, is to be upfront about it and not act as if the professor/student relationship is some uncomplicated, carefree romance we should all root for, which is difficult for soaps.

I thought Lois was supposed to be a light caricature as well, from the nails and makeup to the comical (but still somewhat credible) accent. RS and Claire Labine somehow made a rich and affecting character out of her.

I thought AL and the super-hot Eyal Podell had major chemistry. I don’t remember the story very well (or at least how it ended), but I’m trying to remember how they handled the power dynamics between Colleen and Korbel.

Cute kid. Do they have a plan for him, though? Will he be a love interest for Faith? How old is he supposed to be?

NY has opened things up to 50 and older. Hopefully 40 and older will be soon.

As bad as the JT/domestic violence story was, its conclusion (and Victoria’s subsequent stint on the backburner) was the perfect opportunity for the right writer to reset Victoria. Unfortunately, we got JG, who regressed the entire show, and so it was more of the same. Victoria tries, lamely, to assert herself in business. Victoria uses her kids to reel in Billy. JG just flat-out doesn’t care about Nick or Nikki. He’s got such a hard-on for Adam. I’m not gonna complain about the lack of Nick, as I don’t enjoy him much, but Nikki deserves better.
