  1. Wow, Peacock is picking up the reboot, and it’ll be set in New Orleans like I had suggested: https://tvline.com/2021/04/08/queer-as-folk-reboot-peacock-streaming-new-series/
  2. Wow, hadn’t seen this. From the score, she looked absolutely dominant.
  3. Some of the WTF performances recently from usually good actors (Laura Wright’s high-pitched screeching, Genie Francis yelping in fear, William Lipton’s constipated angry face-scrunching, Jeff Kober and MEK’s work on most occasions) leads me to believe something has gone very wrong behind the scenes. That said, I’m at a loss as to what Wes is doing and why no one has intervened. It’s one of the most befuddling long-running performances I’ve seen on daytime in a while.
  4. Even though they later regressed and got conservative, I’ll always give DAYS credit for those *hot* scenes between Guy Wilson and Christopher Sean. It’s rare that a soap impresses me with how far they go, but they held little back. I wish they’d done more with Brant Daugherty’s character Brian back in the day.
  5. Yeah, it’s gonna be a long road. A recast *might* help somewhat, but we know that’s not happening.
  6. I wish I liked Willow more, as she shares a name with one of Joan’s most famous songs lol.
  7. From USA 🇺🇸
  8. Haha. I’d be satisfied if Sasha and Willow simply didn’t make it out alive.
  9. Why does Peter’s face only move below the eyes? You see his jaw and neck just going crazy, but the eyes and forehead are as still as stone. Botox? (Yes, this is what it’s come to.) I love Britt and Brook Lynn. They’re like the anti-Sasha and Willow.
  10. Lol don’t get us shut down in this thread with the Vola Voof talk. She’ll materialize, and it’ll be a wrap. I was here for the lunacy back in the day.
  11. This is the issue I had with potentially making Thomas bisexual on B&B. I was troubled by the idea that the very first queer male character in B&B history, on a show set in the *fashion industry*, being an abusive nutcase. It just veers too close to equating queer sexuality with pathology and psychosis. If there’d been a rich tradition of queer male characters on B&B, fine. Break open the poppers. But it didn’t sit well with me. Similar to how distasteful it was that OLTL made its first post-Billy Douglas gay male character a serial killer.
  12. They finally came for Scott Rudin’s demented ass.
  13. Loved Rick and Abby. Mike and Carrie on DAYS were another normie couple I loved. But Michael/Willow are like Miracle Whip without the zing. JMO. YMMW.
  14. Valentin/Carly is a pairing I never really considered. It’s an interesting thought. He certainly gets under her skin. I just need JPS to eat a Ritz cracker or something.
  15. From Vietnam 🇻🇳
  16. RTD did her SO dirty. I find it a huge blemish on his career, and I respect him a lot. While Martha got many opportunities to be a bad-ass, she essentially got sidelined in that season’s best episodes by two white chicks (Carey Mulligan and Jessica Hynes). Plus the Jones family were never developed in the same way Rose’s mother Jackie or Wilfred were. I was glad to see Adjoa Anjoh get *something* to work with on Bridgerton because RTD made Francine look like an idiot. Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s career has been going gangbusters. I’d love to see her and Freema work together again.
  17. Just stumbled on Freema on New Amsterdam, the NBC medical drama (where she has the most gorgeous braids and is paired with Daniel Dae Kim). It’s just so gratifying to see what an actress she’s become. She, Karen, and Billie were all great on DW, if a bit green to start, but they’ve become such seasoned and rich performers. Billie, of course, is so respected as a stage actress now.
  18. What on EARTH? Stunned.
  19. From Ghana 🇬🇭
