  1. Yeah, she seems well-equipped to navigate these ladies, and having a small cast benefits her both with the other ladies and the audience. More opportunities for Eboni to get to know the other women as well as more opportunities for the viewers to get to know Eboni. I wonder what she’ll bring in terms of family and career material. I am curious what happens when the booze (and other substances) really get flowing, and Sonja gets a little frisky lol. These shows really reward people who roll up their sleeves and get a little dirty, which is always fraught when you’re the only person of color amid a bunch of white women. Oh I completely agree. The existing relationships between the women add so many layers. In the case of Ramona/Sonja/Luann, they’ve all fûcked the same guys lol. Of course, when family gets involved things can turn toxic (early NJ, Kyle/Kim on BH), but NY has mostly kept things light.
  2. I can’t get over how great Luann looks. Eboni seems funny and fantastic. I wonder how enmeshed she’ll become in the RHONY drama, as that’s a VERY incestuous cast with a lot of history. Leah seemed to jump in head first.
  3. Speaking of Germany, a German friend sent me this:
  4. The Pliskobot malfunctioned right on the verge of beating Ash Barty:
  5. These ladies look amazing.
  6. From Brazil 🇧🇷
  7. Finola Hughes is a gem. She withstands a lot of iffy-to-bad acting. Shawn’s sexy self is back.
  8. Indeed. Their taste level is subterranean.
  9. Yeah, the writing is doing him no favors. If they are going to use him on a recurring basis, why use him like this?
  10. From Spain 🇪🇸
  11. Kiara Barnes (Zoe) is leaving to join Fox’s new Fantasy Island series: https://deadline.com/2021/04/kiara-barnes-fantasy-island-reboot-the-bold-and-the-beautiful-exit-john-gabriel-rodriguez-fox-1234740794/
  12. Netflix has released The Great British Bake-off and a few reality series on a weekly basis, which has worked well. It also sustains the social media chatter over a longer period of time. Not sure WandaVision would have had the legs with just a dump...
  13. I get it. I’m sure Charity Rahmer would have dominated social media if she aired as Belle today. But... she was terrible (admittedly in an entertaining way, which I can’t say for Wes). Wes’s acting choices literally take me out of scenes. I’m more focused on his ridiculousness to even engage with the stories or the world of the show. If that’s the effect they want, more power to them. Desperate times call for desperate measures. There’s not much else to engage with on GH.
  14. LOL. My favorite kerfuffle is Serena telling Maria Jose Martinez Sánchez, “I’m gonna get you in the locker room for that. You don’t know me!”
  15. They seem absolutely impervious to viewer criticism. Peter is almost unanimously despised (not in a love-to-hate way), yet they’ve doubled down on him. GH feels like the one soap actually somewhat planned out longer term in a traditional way (like how the Brook Lynn pregnancy is converging with Maxie’s). It would be admirable if the stories weren’t almost all so bad.
  16. He’s gorgeous and seemed very sweet. He’s very close friends with Top Chef’s Antonia Lofaso, who came on the show and seemed more like a f*ghag/stereotypical straight gal pal. He showed off his body A LOT, but spoke openly of struggling with eating disorders. Here he is, naked (with bits blacked out😞 When Tayshia dumped him, he looked totally shellshocked, in a slightly unsettling way:
  17. The most recent Bachelorette season had a guy (an army veteran who was smokin’ hot and seemed obviously gay) who admitted to two suicide attempts in the last three years. Not to stigmatize mental health issues, but it seemed wild that he’d be on a reality show looking to be hitched.
  18. And it would be a thousand times better. I know people are used to just tuning into their local affiliates to watch, but these shows will never thrive creatively on the broadcast networks. Let them move to streaming with a reduced episode order (with daily rollouts with a seasonal break or two-to-three days a week instead of the typical Netflix dump), and let the broadcast daytime lineups be the wastelands they’ve been for the past 20 years.
