  1. Thanks, dragonflies. I brought Colleen into SoapClassics one day when I was picking preview clips for the website. She shared stories with everyone and we both had a blast that afternoon. Then we went to see Gregg Marx (ex-Tom) perform that night. He can sing!
  2. These are all from the 1980s. First one shortly after James arrived in Oakdale in Feb. 1980 through the famous helicopter scene with Paul and Hank in 1989.
  3. The second episode on this set is, I believe, Peter Reckell's first episode. I chose it because just about any character I could think of from May 1980 appeared on it, and when James and Barbara run into Nancy, Chris and Lisa, Nancy gives Barbara's engagement ring a cross look (for just a split second) that made me think of early Nancy Hughes.
  4. Hope you enjoy the new DVD. There were so many options but focused on the '80s and it covers everything from Santo Domingo and Spain to the helicopter scene were James shoots Hank Elliot.
  5. Hope you enjoy this new free episode http://soapclassics.com/index.php/free-online-episode.html
  6. We caught up with Ben Monk (formerly Ben Jorgensen) last night in case anyone is interested. He had quite a bit to say about AMC and his storyline as Kevin. http://www.welovesoaps.net/2012/05/benmonk.html
  7. We have a new interview up with Michael Woods. He was on a lot of canceled soaps so this could probably go anywhere. http://www.welovesoaps.net/2012/05/michaelwoods1.html
  8. Can anyone confirm if Peter Reckell's first scenes as Eric were at the hospital moments after Eric and Doug's father died?
  9. March 31, 1986 I believe. I chose it because I couldn't pick which mother to feature for Mother's Day so this one has them all. Lucinda finds out Iva is Lily's birth mother.
  10. Thanks, Paul. I was just watching the episodes where everyone flew to Sweden and Miranda was released from prison.
  11. Thanks, Mitch. James came on in Feb. 1980 and they got married around August. Your info helps!
  12. Does anyone remember the ATWT location shoot at the Museum of Natural History in NYC in the early 1980s? An actor was asking me about that recently and I scanned around and couldn't find those.
  13. I've posted four obits this week alone http://www.welovesoaps.net/search/label/Obituary
  14. Jonathan Frid has died at age 87.
  15. Sad to hear about Linda. I spoke to her last fall when the first ATWT DVD came out to tell her she was in the 1981 as Lucy. She had been on ATWT multiple times and couldn't keep the characters straight. Really nice lady and very talented.
  16. I actually have that Daytimers. Thanks for scanning, Carl. The complete Dark Shadows DVD is out tomorrow. Glad Bernau's work on GL and DS is being released in 2012.
  17. Thanks! If ATWT was pre-empted one day, the free episode should have been Feb. 13.
  18. Let me check, I have it written down somewhere. Holden's only on in the end so I didn't put it on the DVD but it has that explosive scene between them that I wanted people to get to see again. UPDATE: I think it's Feb. 10, 1986. Episode 7692 which I was thinking was Feb. 7 but maybe there was a pre-emption? At the end, Dan Region says "join us tomorrow" instead of "join us Monday."
  19. Heather was a stone cold Lily that was jarring for me personally but some liked it. A number of people mentioned that wedding so I was hoping to include it. I love Noelle Beck as a beautiful human being but in terms of making the 10 episodes on the DVD tell a story, her Lily was all over the map. Seeing Lily suddenly sleeping with a 20 year old Mike Kasnoff made no sense. Thinking back, her Lily sure did a lot in 2 years time. I was glad to finally work in a good Terry Lester episode and a good Tom Eplin episode for fans who have been wanting that. The first two have a lot of Doug Cummings, we see young Scott DeFreitas and Andy Kavovit on the 1987 summer episode, they go on location for Holden and Emily's wedding (I love Melanie Smith) and there's lots of cool things included in each in addition to the Lily and Holden romance.
  20. Was going to include the Heather Rattray wedding but that was an example of Lyla singing a pop song in the middle of an episode and rather than cutting out a chunk of the episode, I picked something else.
  21. Next DVD out today http://www.welovesoaps.net/2012/03/lilden.html Some new characters worked in this time and other stories come into play.
  22. Thanks, French Fan. As I watch entire weeks of the episodes I can't seem to find some of these things which is why I was looking for the recaps. It seems like Doug/Kim/Frannie were on every day, at least I haven't found a tape yet that didn't have them on.
  23. Definitely let them know what you want to see!
