  1. God, no wonder Amanda and Iris hated Rachel for marrying Carl. I mean, how on earth could you ever love someone who literally poisoned a nurse in order to keep your secrets from being exposed?
  2. Yeah, this could be a total fake-out, and we learn that Craig's "other woman" is actually his Peloton instructor (...named Wyatt).
  3. Oh, Ron Carlivati would bring back the Bayou as a male strip joint for sure.
  4. Personally, I don't think a late-in-life coming out storyline would work with an established character. It'd be too much to ask the audience to believe that he or she suddenly has romantic or sexual feelings toward someone of their own gender after god knows how many marriages (and divorces), affairs and one night stands with others from the opposite sex. (And spare me the "Well, that's because he/she was gay all along and just never knew it!" retroactive b.s. If that's the case, then just about every character that's ever been on a soap was gay or bisexual.) Moreover, would TPTB go in this direction, because they truly see this as an aspect of the character that's always been visible, yet (up to that point) unexplored? Or, would they go there, simply because that actor is too fey or too "butch" onscreen and can't convincingly play love scenes with anyone of the opposite gender? Because, if it's the latter, then maybe a simple recast is the answer. Again, if Brad Bell had actually "gone there," I would have had to question the motives behind his choice. It was never stated or implied that Stephanie was gay or bisexual -- and no, the love/hate thing with Brooke does not count! -- and you couldn't have Stephanie suddenly come out as a lesbian just because Susan Flannery made Large Marge look like Little Nell. It'd just be too unbelievable.
  5. Claire Labine wanted to tell a late-in-life coming out story w/ Holly when she was still HW'ing GL, but P&G nixed it.
  6. I won't say I don't love the idea of Craig being gay or bisexual, because I never bought that he would have been attracted to a woman like Nancy in the first place. Regardless of my own feelings, though, I hope Ron Carlivati has enough respect for Craig and Nancy's fans to make it clear that Nancy is not just his "beard"; that Craig does, in fact, love her dearly and has always loved her. Otherwise, this is gonna make Nancy look like a damn joke.
  7. And someone will want to say something, but someone else will threaten them by mentioning Shady Pines. Yeah, I know how the game is played.
  8. And Xander performs a "Magic Mike" routine while Will, Sonny and Leo dress as their favorite female character on "Knots Landing". It's gonna make even the devil's eyes bleed.
  9. The Antichrist would never wear that much lip gloss.
  10. "Like glitter through the hourglass, so are the Gays of Our Lives." But, think of all the terrific "Golden Girls" references we'll get between Craig and his new bf!
  11. It's truly amazing how that particular confederacy of dunces came very close to toppling our entire government.
  12. That was never gonna happen, lol.
  13. Telling Maggie Haberman to "do her job" is like pissing into the wind. Now, if we could just get rid of Fox News....
  14. Knowing MTS, she'd relish the opportunity to play a dual role like that, lol. Yeah, if nothing else, Ron Carlivati would certainly get people talking again about Y&R. Whether or not the talk would be good is another matter entirely.
  15. Back when DAYS was still a reasonably believable show.
  16. It seems out of left field (even for Farah) to be resentful about a same-sex couple's popularity. If viewers preferred Rex with another woman over Gigi, that's one thing. But what the heck do Kyle and Oliver have to do with her?? Ah, well. I don't pretend to understand what goes through the average actor's mind.
  17. I've always felt that way, too. As Mack reasoned, when Jill realized she'd lost Gary for good, and to Val, she was determined to make them both pay for destroying her life, even if it meant killing herself in the process. But, you know, it's hard to know for sure what Jill's true intentions were, since (IIRC) the entire explanation of her death was based on Mack's supposition to the D.A. I mean, for all anyone knows, Jill might have been forced into Gary's trunk, or she might have had an accomplice helping her stage the kidnapping. We never saw it actually happen. We can only go by how Mack laid it all out to the attorneys. I'd have to agree. As over-emotional and dramatic as Reva could be at times, even she wouldn't have gone THAT far. But, at least it was produced well (IMO).
  18. I still remember when Soap Opera Weekly did their big, "Whatever Happened To...?"/"Where Are They Now?" issue, where they caught up with May, Borelli and a truckload of other former soap stars. It was so bittersweet reading that and thinking and feeling that there were so many former actors who should've still been on the soaps.
  19. All I can say is, if the rumors are true, and Craig indeed comes out of the closet to Nancy and Chloe, please, for the love of Donna Summer, don't make Leo his lover. In fact, don't let Craig's new, same-sex partner be anyone we've already seen on this show. DAYS is incestuous enough.
  20. Yeah, that story was godawful -- and knowing that Ellen Wheeler and Tom Eplin had once been married IRL did not make it any easier to accept or watch either.
  21. If Ron Carlivati were writing this show, and he had somehow stumbled upon that information? Believe me, he would have found some way to tie the two Glorias together. IKR? I would have LOVED to see Drucilla, as the maid's daughter, who resented how much more attention her mother gave her boss's children, at least try and seduce Jack (or even John) into marriage just to prove she was just as good as the Abbott children. If Drucilla and Olivia had been Mamie's daughters, rather than her nieces, then a Jack/Drucilla union could have caused so much tension among the two families. My guess? Even though she was playing a maid, she didn't want to play her like she was Beulah, and Jerry Douglas thought she was being "uppity" for demanding her character be written with dignity. But, again, that's just my guess.
  22. I can't [!@#$%^&*] believe this show thinks investigating the destruction of a teddy bear is worth airtime. Ron Carlivati is a damn fool.
  23. Soap operas are turgid by nature...but, underneath the sturm and drang, they're also supposed to offer viewers some hope. Having characters commit suicide seems to run counter to the idea.
