  1. Exactly. "Missy" treasured working with the crews on all her projects, but not enough to put up with shitty writing. It's one of those kinds of stories that I'm sure happens IRL, but just doesn't come off well on most movies and TV shows.
  2. IKR? I mean, the devil even went into Doug, and that was something we ALL could have done without.
  3. It really broke my heart to see how certain fan bases held GL hostage in the late '90's and throughout the 2000's. In times past, you could have counted on GL being one show (with Y&R being another) that wouldn't cave to pressure like that.
  4. Did Phyllis, Linda and Melissa have much to do during that time? Was Pat Falken Smith still head-writing at that point? If so, I wonder if she had it in mind to use Mary's strangling as a catalyst for bringing back the Andersons.
  5. In that case, though, I'd say the network interference was justified.
  6. Same.
  7. I feel sorry for his writers. Well, most of them, anyway. Jamey Giddens is just as awful as he is.
  8. Because, on top of everything else that's wrong about him, he's also a Class-A chickenshit. He can't stand the heat, so he just burns down the kitchen.
  9. I'm not afraid of that hack. I've got more wit, more talent, more sense and better taste in my pinkie finger than he does in his whole, damn body. He wants to come at me for criticizing his shitty stories? Let him.
  10. LMAO! T.R.'s transformation into pure evil exemplifies what's wrong with today's soaps: TPTB don't take the time anymore to play all the necessary beats, because they're afraid of losing the audience. It's stupid.
  11. It won't be someone. It'll be Gabi. That way, Ron Carlivati can rehash her feud with Julie.
  12. They probably wouldn't, given the circumstances surrounding BB's death. Then again, this is the show that saw nothing wrong with using the late Macdonald Carey's disembodied face to scare the bejeezus out of Marlena.
  13. Exactly. I respect your opinion(s) on this subject, but I just can't see it the same way you do. Sorry.
  14. Mike Bauer dying at the hands of the Santos clan? I don't think so.
  15. Look, I'm glad that DAYS has signed ZT to a contract, but unless they do the same for CM, then I hope the writers are at work figuring out a way to break up Sonny and Will that will make sense to their fans. Because tying ZT and Sonny to a character and actor who isn't on contract as well is like nailing his feet to the floor. It limits what can you do with Sonny, and on a show that thrives on couples-based drama, that's death.
  16. You're right. And the fact that a Black man IS more menacing on this show right now than the devil himself is something that I'm very uncomfortable with, too. I mean, Ron Carlivati is using JoDevil for his typical, horny, wacky hijinks, while TR is literally hurting and killing people, and that is just so fucked up. Remember, though, she gave her into her "forbidden" lust for Allie, which made her body susceptible to the devil's manipulation. (Again, Ron Carlivati, WTF is going on here!?)
  17. When you put it that way, I wouldn't be surprised if Ron Carlivati was just trolling his critics. Lord knows he trolls every time he writes even one word for DAYS.
  18. Another Possible Big Twist: Deacon and Ridge get into another fight...that gradually turns into a night of passionate sex.
  19. That's what happens sometimes when you change your mind about stories in progress. You end up making some characters (like Nate) look like complete fools.
  20. Exactly. We don't know for sure where his son got his ideas. Suggesting it was VI's doing without proof is wrong.
  21. Yes! Michael Malone said so himself: if Charles Dickens were alive today, he'd be writing for the soaps. (And, yes, we would be roasting his ass, too, for killing off Little Nell.)
  22. Agree. Like you said, @FrenchBug82, writing is hard-ass work no matter WHICH medium you write for. But the fact that it IS hard work doesn't mean you get a pass if/when the results suck. It just means that, in this case anyway, your best just wasn't good enough. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Ron Carlivati needs to stay the hell off social media. So, his problem is that the criticism lobbied against his work isn't constructive? Dude, it's Twitter! You're lucky if the feedback you get is all spelled correctly! Besides, how much more constructive does it need to be than, "WTF is this [!@#$%^&*] that I'm watching, Ron!?"?
  23. You know, not every person who supports our former president is evil. Misguided? Yes. Evil? No. And I say all that as someone who is glad Trump is out of office.
  24. Maybe he plans to get everyone in town hooked on smack, lol!
