Big ouch to GL's 4.0 already. Y&R folks, it seems they lost the most ground immediately after the OJ Ford Bronco chase drama. Was there a major shift in story quality? They went from getting 9's in early '94 and staying in the 8's, and then June '94 hits and they're suddenly staying put in the mid 7's.

B&B sure loves to break up their interracial couples off-screen. First was Donna & Justin, now Katie & Carter.

My first thoughts were GL's Josh Lewis and DAYS' Bo Brady.

With lighting already showing our favorite Salemites in an unflattering manner, the makeup team also needs to tone down on the yellowish makeup they use around the eyes of some of our 40+ actors. It's obvious the most on Dan Feuerriegel, but is also quote noticeable on Eric Martsolf, Billy Flynn and others.

And despite all the hoopla of the Possession storyline, we will see it was actually the Aremid storyline in the latter half of '95 that puts them ahead of the AMC/B&B/GH pack consistently.

Finally finished out May, lol. An episode with a Dallas Pam/Bobby shower "It was all a dream" throwback, and ending with Blake Berris trying his best to recreate Louise Shaffer's work doing Serena/Josie Faraday on The Edge of Night. Meh, so many plot holes in this mess.

Ugh, I wish they hadn't thrown her away not once but twice (2006, 2012). The first time was because Reilly 2.0 wanted a 2.0 of Carrie/Austin/Sami/Lucas. The second time being a(nother) cast purge of most folks they brought back for the touted 2011 "reboot." Both were poor decisions, IMO.

Agreed. Jake never should've been created, and Stefan should've stayed dead. Barash was merely there to finish out the original story, and that's where it should've ended.

That would be a great idea to explore which means it totally won't happen.

Rumor Mill has it that Bravo is looking to keep NJ's Teresa, Dolores, Rachel, and Jenn Fessler next season and ditch the rest. Meh... Quite honestly, I'm over Teresa Guidice and I'm tired of seeing her rewarded year after year with continued employment at Bravo where she is no doubt paid a pretty penny.

Agreed. For example, in the OG possession storyline, there was never any reference to the film The Exorcist and everything was played straight and serious; no cheeky comments or wink-winks to the audience.

I don't know much about Somerset, but I wonder how much time they were given between a notice of cancellation and their last airdate.

Just as in 1996 when critics said GL's Spaulding family are all the same character, this is how it is with EJ, "Kristen," and Stefan. Cut at least one of them loose. (Sorry Stacy, you'll never replace Eileen)

In my opinion, the final deciding factor came after that first disastrous debate on Sept. 29th. America was just tired of that man. He is exhausting and I think the independents or those waffling finally woke up and realized they/we couldn't do another 4 years of the same. At least, that's the vibe I got.
