  1. It's been interesting reading the differing opinions as to whether Hayley's story has changed from inception -- and to how long she knew the Richardsons. We got a flashback scene this week of Dani walking in on Naomi and Hayley, clearly showing their friendship was recent and not since childhood. Did we really need that scene? I'm thinking it's because the writers DID make a change and wanted the audience in on it. They knew we (at least many of us) felt this best friendship was many years in the making.
  2. Exactly. I've decided I'm perfectly fine with Diva Pamela who changes her accent every week, dresses like she's 20, and wears Elvira wigs. I hated all of it until I didn't. Now I love it! 🤩 💗🤩
  3. Isn't that the truth. In the absolute worst way. -- Yes, it's a relief seeing different sets, but sadly, that makes the horrid writing even more obvious. -- So much -- SOOOOO much -- is still offscreen that it makes me crazy. Everything about Noah's accident, offscreen. Everything that happened to Mariah, offscreen. Noah's partner Allie, offscreen. -- Performances aside, it's hard to feel much for a sad Sharon and Nick when Noah's been offscreen for 2 1/2 years. -- It's impossible to feel much for Mariah or Tessa when we get a depressed monosyllabic Mariah who refuses to explain ANYTHING. We're supposed to care about these two...why???
  4. -- Naomi worked my nerves today. Again. Now she wants Ashley's help? Just get an abortion already. -- Chelsea was also extra. That screaming in Dani's closet because clothing and fashion were gone? Overboard. So was arguing with Naomi that her birthday gift to Bill was nicer than Naomi's. Is she 12? -- Chelsea is already doing men's accessories with ChelseaKat? Nope, not believable, and that "billfold" looked like it was bought on Temu. -- Cady McClain is SO BAD as Pamela that I'm now enjoying her. Every soap needs a trainwreck who's fun to watch. -- I think we should pump the brakes on how great the Hayley storyline is going to be. I've already said I love the turn and how good it's all been. Today's scenes gave me pause, though. -- The stuff with the cupcakes was a great story idea, but the execution was really awkward. I don't see 4 grown adults talking that much about cupcakes, especially ones looking like Lil Debbie rejects. -- Someone who's supposed to be so good at emptying the bank account of a mark would not be so obvious and so sloppy. I want this storyline, but I don't want a stupid Hayley. My hope is that the show is once again fooling us and that there was really nothing at all dangerous about that cupcake.
  5. 😂 I also hope Brooke checked Ridge's Wood before she opened those thighs again. I question that man's hygiene.
  6. -- Rocco is a ridiculous, disturbing child. If GH thinks this whole thing makes Britt likeable, they're crazy. Rocco is the dumbest kid on all the soaps. -- Ric Hearst is a treasure. The whole cult thing was hilarious. I don't even care how absurd the entire storyline is. -- Can Laura Wright EVER play an emotional scene without YELLING through it? Her reaction To hearing about Joss's WSB involvement had me reaching for the MUTE button.
  7. I hate the whole "Let's wrap up Noah's entire head in gauze for a few weeks so we can explain his new face" thing. Of course, the new face will be handsome and sexy. No one on soaps is ever ugly after recovery from a horrific accident. Josh Griffith didn't explain how Daniel Goddard morphed into Billy Flynn, and he doesn't have to explain this.
  8. The show does look much better, but the writing is as bad as it's been. -- Brooke is now talking about Taylor finding another man and falling in love. Huh? Can't this woman EVER stop interfering in others' lives -- especially Taylor's? -- Then there's Ridge talking about Taylor as if she's some woman who lives down the street and not a former fiancee he screwed last week. -- I guess we're in for weeks and weeks of Sheila squinting to show how upset she is that Taylor is Deacon's psychiatrist. -- The "Deke Becomes A Designer At Forrester" stuff is hilarious. Ridge, Brooke, Carter, and Hope hold up a few drawings -- which we never see -- and immediately see the future of Hope for the Future. 😂 -- When we finally get Deke's designs on the runway, they'll look like the show hit the Kohl's rack again.
  9. Yeah, these arguments she starts with Jacob are hard to take -- especially when the scene ends with them smiling and getting along and declaring their love. Naomi, you want to be you? You want to be who you want to be? Then get a damn abortion already. We've already heard enough lectures from her about what's expected of a woman vs what's expected of a man. Of course this is her decision. She talked to Jacob and knows his feelings, but this is still her choice. Even though an abortion makes perfect sense, I think she'll keep the baby, whether it's tied into Hayley and Bill or because that's what soaps do. -- The discussion and explanations here about how long Hayley has known everyone make sense and are great -- and interesting. Love it all. Bottom line is that I don't really care if it all makes "perfect sense" because the storyline turn in Hayley has been SO GOOD.
  10. If only the breakdown was better. 😂
  11. They could do worse than a copy and paste of those Another World scenes! That was riveting soap opera! -- The Hayley and Randy scenes were great. Again, that's good soap. -- Can we all admit that Caroline is about as bad a judge of character as Bill? YIKES. -- The Leslie as waitress stuff is crazy and campy and wild and fun, but I still don't like it that Ted puts up with her to get to the point where someone walks in on them, or where she strips, etc. Can he for once throw her out on her ass immediately?
  12. Another complaint about the breakdowns? I know you've seen my question asking you to explain what you mean, and I also realize you don't have to respond to me. Honestly, though, I don't get your point.
  13. -- I have no problem with the way Josh Morrow played those hospital scenes. He seemed worried and concerned, but in control. I think Sharon Case really went to extremes, and her performance didn't work. -- Why have Sharon say that she told Allie to wait to see Noah until they know more? That makes NO sense. No partner or spouse would listen to that. They could have just killed her off in the car accident.
  14. i rewound that scene because that under-5 playing the nurse was so laughably bad. 😂
  15. -- Regardless the reason, the absence of Sophia's mother has been GLARING. If she's back, maybe they can salvage it, but thee entire sotry would have made more sense if she were involved. -- Tate and Aaron SCREAMING at each other in at the Brady Pub was a bit much. More than a bit much? Tate forgiving Aaron immediately is ridiculous. I understand wanting to move the story along, but jeez. -- I was happy with Leo Howard as Tate for a good while, but he cannot play angry. At all.
  16. He did. 😂 What's he going to do, slap him with his scarf? Give him two snaps up and say "Be gone, bitch"?
  17. 😂 Sheila will lose another toe or two when she goes after Deacon and Taylor.
  18. I so agree with you about Erika Slezak. I would watch her read the phone book. Can't think of enough superlatives to describe her. It's a wild and crazy plot, but I didn't see it played as a big joke today, and I really enjoyed ll of it. I'm interested in seeing where it goes. -- In other news, Lucas is threatening Vaughan??? Are you kidding me??? 😂 Lucas told him "If anything happens to Josslyn, you'll answer to me." I'm sorry, but that was my Laugh of the Day on GH.
  19. -- Also, I am CRYING 😂🤣😂 that in 3 days, Deacon went from feeling perfectly fine about his marriage to Sheila to asking a psychiatrist "Should I end my marriage?" and then flirting blatantly with said psychiatrist.
  20. -- Those 3 gowns that Hope trotted out had me LMAO! -- I thought the 3rd one (on the right) was the worst. It looked like Grandma had a crafts project and had her glue gun ready to go! -- Also had to laugh when Hope threw her arms around Deke as he walked in -- as if she didn't just see him yesterday. -- Ridge sees Deke for the first time in years and decides the first thing he'll say is to throw shade at Deacon? Ridge continues to be trash. -- Il Giardino, like every set, is improved, although I do think that open air/sky backdrop needs work or needs to be changed occasionally. Is cloud cover always the exact same in L.A. every day?
  21. I hear you on that, and I'm willing to give you the point on this. I am invested in this plot and character turn, but I do have lingering questions. I just watched the first 20 minutes of today's show, and we were told that not only did Hayley never love Bill, but that he's not her first big mark and that she took "everything" from a very rich man. OK, but weren't we also told she was best friends with Naomi and almost a part of the family? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Hayley was around those people for years. I'm also withholding judgment on the casting of Marquita Goings as Hayley. She's not bad in any way, but I'm not sure she's the best fit for the part.
  22. -- I had to laugh when Smitty put the lasagna on the table. Not only was there no pad under it, but Smitty wasn't wearing any gloves or using a towel to protect his hands. Maybe they like cold lasagna. -- Other times, we've seen Samantha and Tyrell clear the table. This time, no. Smitty says they should leave it all until the morning. Yeah, that leftover lasagna will be fine. -- Randy does some dumb things. When he saw Joey and Vanessa kissing, why not back out of the room? Is he really wise to trust anything about Joey? -- On the other hand, if Randy is Joey's right hand, that entire operation is in trouble. "Hey. Randy, close up for me." 😂 -- Vanessa continues to be a ridiculous slut to me. She doesn't want Donnell to know about her and Joey. Then why did she embrace Joey by grabbing his neck the other day -- right in front of Donnell? And she doesn't want Joey to break up with her, which means she's OK being with a criminal. -- I'm so glad to see this Hayley turn, because what we were seeing wasn't working. -- Dani and Bill do have great chemistry, but I still hate to see Dani go back to a guy who treated her so miserably during their marriage. -- The Anita/impersonator stuff is fun and I'm ok with it, but it still stretches belief that Anita Dupree would have regular calls with her female impersonator. -- Closing Orphey Gene's gave Vernon and Anita a nice romantic moment when the lights were down, and it did enable some filming without extras. -- On the other hand, it's kind of presumptuous -- but very WE'RE THE DUPREES -- to think the world revolves around them. Privileged, indeed.
  23. You've made a lot of comments about poor breakdowns by "the writer" and Giddens. Respectfully, I don't get it. Can you explain what you mean and how these breakdowns could be better?
  24. I agree. They wrote Deke as too laid back about his dad's marriage to the town psycho -- or one of them. That conversation could at least have been one that made Deacon's text for a psych appointment asap make sense.
