  1. That's where I am with Ted. I think he's a major character, and I do not agree the show always penciled him in as someone who'd be there a year or less. Get rid of the father of THREE major characters. Just no. The problem has always been the writing for Ted. Look at today with his ridiculous idea to take Eva to the ChelseaKat launch. I mean, that is just clueless. They have the guy caring ONLY about Eva. I love TMG in the role, but Leslie IS veering into cartoon too often for my taste. Too many scenes end with her dancing around and spouting funny lines to shade someone and get us laughing. The nuance is not there at this point, and that means we get Eva deciding over and over that she has to ignore/forgive the things her mother does. We also need nuance if we're ever to believe Ted would show ANY interest in her. As she is now? No way is that believable. I have a major problem with that. It all goes to the pacing, which is just way too fast, and yes, tearing through story. In 72 hours, Leslie found out who her mother was, got her trust fund first check, bought a mansion across the street from the Duprees, and joined the country club. Seriously??? Just another thing we're not supposed to question, such as how many millions are in this trust fund, how often the checks arrive, how much Anita has poured into it, etc.
  2. Exactly right. He was very clear in an interview that it's what he wanted -- and that he's also very happy at GH and has no plans to leave.
  3. -- Can someone give Molly a hair makeover, please. -- Molly doesn't have chemistry with a single guy on this show. -- Cody and Ava definitely have chemistry, although it helps that Maura West has chem with everyone. -- I'm not complaining about a shirtless Josh Kelly, but it was odd that he remained shirtless for the entire show.
  4. I thought it was odd that Vanessa met with Leslie about buying a house at the country club. Then it was odd to see Chelsea -- the day before her merch launch -- at Orphey Gene's doing all her work on her tablet, paperwork spread out, etc. Exactly. Zero sense. Some posters insist that Ted and Leslie have chemistry, but I don't see it -- at all. I DO think Ted and Nicole's natural chemistry has been obliterated by really bad writing. Ted and Nicole are both educated. They both have professional and refined personalities. They're both essentially dignified people. Leslie is none of that. If the show wrote for Ted and Nicole, we'd see the chemistry.
  5. -- Dani needs to see something from Andre before becoming FWB and more? OK, but let's not pretend Dani didn't set the limits and the rules before this. She acts as if Andre should know where she stands and what she wants, but that's just not so. -- Is Dani over Bill? You know she's not. Meanwhile, I hope she feels superior about throwing shade at Ashley all over the place. -- Ted should stop allowing Leslie into his room, period. As I've said repeatedly, I do not want Ted to fall for her. I won't believe a man who's been married to Nicole for about 3 decades would be interested in someone like Leslie. -- Leslie's first check was for $1M. I wish they'd let us know how many millions are in that trust fund. And Jesus, what kind of deposits was Anita making over the years??? Meanwhile, Sharon and Tracy struggled? Uh....OK. -- The Duprees -- or should I say THE DUPREES -- have all that power and money, yet the only lawyer they can call is Bill Hamilton? LOL Sorry, but that's embarrassing.
  6. Audra said "Nate slept on the couch." You mean this penthouse suite that Nate owns has only one bedroom?
  7. -- Molly's story writing and her daydreams about riding a horse with Cody in a country western tale is painful to watch. That's all I got.
  8. -- I have no hope that Brad Bell will "step up" and write good story. The last couple weeks are a perfect sample size to tell you it's all either roll-you-eyes stuff or another recycled story. -- Luna rapes ANOTHER character? So now that's 2 murders, 2 sexual assaults, and clueless relatives who bring her back to life and think she can be reformed. -- Doesn't everyone like Will want to have sex with a girl in a mask? -- So glad that Luna recovered so quickly from her bullet holes and has no scars. -- Not that I care about Will's relationship with Electra, one of the most annoying good girls on soaps.
  9. I appreciate what you've said here, and I admit that's probably because a majority of the bullet points I offer in a post are in the negative file. I don't tr_oll the show -- I like it way too much to do that -- but I'm honest with my takes. YMMV. Yesterday, I was over the moon with the Anita/Leslie scenes, and I offered praise. The rest? A very mixed bag that included some awful acting and odd writing. I don't expect anyone else to agree with me; on the other hand, I'm not going to sing only the show's praises because some posters here love everything, or at least refuse to speak of anything that isn't working. If you told me I could watch only 2 soaps, BTG would be one of them. It entertains me and fascinates me in ways the others do not. You shouldn't mistake my complaints as a call for cancellation or anything like that. I want it to be better, that's all.
  10. Another dropped storyline. Instead we're stuck with Leo.
  11. -- THANK GOD for TT and TMG, because without Anita and Leslie, this episode was filled with cringe acting and cringe plotting. -- Tunie and Grant are amazing scene partners. Give them more and get rid of some of these awful actors. -- Jen Jacob was terrible again today. She plays Ashley like an over-emoting middle schooler in a bad play. NONE of that stuff with Andre was remotely believable. -- I've given Ben Gavin some credit for an improved Derek, but we're back to square one with him. This stuff as a paralyzed patient is horrific, and BG is back to being awkward and stilted. Even Shanice can't save him. -- I don't believe the casting for Dr. Madison is good. She doesn't come off as a doctor. -- Tomas has a great scene partner, but nothing can cover for his horrid acting. -- That outfit on Chelsea? Those things in her hair? Just no. -- Kat and Jacob are solid in their roles, but I had a hard time with Kat bringing up her sex problems with Jacob. Didn't come off as organic at all. -- And when Jacob recommended Kat talk to her mother because she's a great therapist, Kat asked him if he thinks she has "mental problems." Huh? This is what Kat has been taught to believe about doctors, therapy, and mental health? -- BTG got so many things right, but so many of these casting choices are off.
  12. I agree. I've just about given up on all the soaps when it comes to history, or caring about what we think at all.
  13. -- Josh Griffith is notorious for offscreen stuff, but these offscreen funerals -- for major characters -- are so ridiculous, so fu_cking embarrassing, that I have no words. -- Why is Sally dressed like a stripper when she's running "in the park"? -- Yes, Zuleyka Silver has been pretty popular as Audra. But can something HAPPEN with this character? She goes from company to company, never really getting anywhere. We're supposed to see her as some brilliant businesswoman, but she's not. She cannot keep a job and she cannot get/keep a man.
  14. Kristina Wagner did really nice work there, I agree. I don't think it was a dialogue error, but just more of the same with GH -- rewriting and retconning and changing things...just because they can.
  15. I should have known not to get too excited.
  16. Exactly. If you don't like Joss, that's fine. It's OK to dislike characters. But there's something off about calling her a whore, when that just isn't so. A girl or guy her age would likely have been with many more sexual partners than Joss. And while I understand the point that there's a difference between name-calling a character as opposed to an actor, this one strikes me as mean and almost personal.
  17. So true. The place is one perpetual crime scene.
  18. -- The Anita/Leslie scenes were good. More fireworks coming. -- I've criticized Anita plenty, but I will never be OK with someone who blames a suicide on another human. I know that's Leslie's nature to do that, but it makes her reprehensible. Anita made mistakes. She is not responsible for Barbara's suicide. -- The June arc doesn't work for me. It's all happening too quickly. -- June had at least 3 personalities on today's show. She was calm and hopeful in the first scenes, followed by a complete personality change when she lost her mind and went back to the streets. When she went to see Samantha and Tyrell, she was motherly and sooooo filled with wisdom. Now she's ready to leave the bridge underpass and get a job. GMAB. == At least June's manicure is still perfect for job interviews. -- Sending Samantha and Tyrell off the show with June would be a disastrous storyline decision. In what world will June EVER be able to offer what they can get from Smitty and Martin? -- June being a part of the kids' lives shouldn't be any kind of problem at all. They aren't 5 years old. They don't need someone to take them to school and pick them up or to run them to activities. They don't need to stay with June in some custody arrangement. -- Please give Naomi something to do besides play fairy godmother to June. People here say Jacob is annoying, but Naomi bothers me 10x more than he does.
  19. I do hear you on this, but every shelf in the bookstore looks like this. No bookstore is arranged like this.
  20. My God. Jack and Diane dancing around their living room while pretending they're in Venice.
  21. Bradford Anderson was TERRIBLE in those scenes. Is he that rusty from getting no work? And writing Spinelli as a dad who has no idea what to say to his kids or can find someone to watch them on his own was a choice.
  22. Julie buying the bookstore is a good idea, but they should have done a better job with the books themselves. It's one fake book decor set after another, and it doesn't look real.
  23. -- LOL at the janky camera angles used to make pizza dumpster Il Giardino the site of a big Forrester promotions party. -- Zende brings masks to the celebration. Why? No reason. Just really bad writing to allow Luna to do her thing, just like Luna being unknown to any other workers there. -- TWO GUYS dancing at the party??? HAS BOLD TURNED THE CORNER ON GAY STORIES??? -- I'm so embarrassed that I watch this soap.
  24. -- Unpopular opinion, but I like Joss with Vaughan. I think they have chemistry. -- Drew is running around like a cartoon character making charges against Michael. -- Justine, this DA character, is getting too much work. I don't know what GH sees in her except that the actress is married to the Sidwell actor in real life. And her hair extensions are awful. -- It was painfully obvious that either Nina or Carly would end up in the pool. Another screaming match between those two? Jesus. -- Rory Gibson looked so good today. Those pecs and that booty were poppin'.
