  1. -- So are we getting a week of BTG repeats for every holiday? Or is it every couple months? -- The show is 3-4 months ahead in taping, so the only way this makes sense is if it's an intentional cost-cutting move to do fewer episodes per season. -- I hate it (like most viewers) and I think they should have waited until season 2 to do something like this. It's a new show trying to build momentum, and this is not the answer. -- And no, holding on to 1M viewers when you normally get 1.5M is not good. Gates needs to work towards 1.6M and demo increases and not be satisfied with decent rerun numbers. -- The only way I'd be satisfied with this is if CBS does the same to Y&R and B&B, which are both total garbage these days.
  2. Just when I was happy that Kristen might be gone for awhile, Susan shows up. Sorry, I need a break from SH.
  3. -- I do not believe the show forces Maurice Benard to dye his hair. The guy has so much power over casting and story but listens to higher-ups about his hair? He wants his hair to look this way, no matter what he says. -- The making out/kissing between Portia and Isaiah looked awkward as hell. I like them both as actors, but that was a yikes. -- I know this board is down on Curtis, but my God, Portia lies so much it's unreal. And if she falls into Isaiah's arms that quickly after Curtis leaves the room, she's also been lying about how much she loves Curtis. Girl needs therapy. -- Good scenes today with Dante/Gio and Drew/Michael.
  4. LSV is certainly in the top tier at B&B when it comes to hotness. I'd also put Tanner Novlan there, and maybe Matthew Atkinson. Scott Clifton would have been there a couple years ago when he was jacked, but then he lost what I consider too much weight.
  5. -- I don't think we can talk about the power and pull of the Dupree family when it takes selling out to a mob boss for a favor. -- I want Joey gone, but if he's going to be a major character, they need to give him an office that suits him. Watching him work his finances at a casino table with a notepad and a lockbox was hilarious. -- Did I miss the scene where Allison put a 2nd handcuff on Chelsea? Their scenes were good, although I do wish they'd made the set more realistic and make it near impossible for Chelsea to save herself. -- Did not like seeing Nicole hug Hayley or Anita hug Bill. A bridge too far. -- Everyone and their mother showed up at the Dupree house except for Ted, which is another example of this show giving him terrible story. How many ways can they show him as being non-caring about the entire family? -- So Ashley showed up to see and talk to Andre...and that's it? She comforted Naomi for about 3 seconds and then moved on to Andre. Maybe tomorrow Derek can show up in a wheelchair. -- So glad the show is writing Bill as accepting of Chelsea's sexuality. It's the right move. Commericals: -- When the show ends, we immediately get a 15-second promo for BTG, and it's always for scenes we've already watched. I wish we'd instead get a brief look at something coming up. -- How many times will we have to sit through the same promo for The Road with Keith Urban? Jesus. -- I miss Febreze and Tide.
  6. That set is really bad. Inexcusable for a set used as a home for main characters. Yeah, I agree. Just not enough going on. Throwing in a snake that escapes its tank is not exactly exciting stuff -- especially when the snake is never shown.
  7. Beyond cringe. Katie is the LAST person Will would share this stuff with. Once again, Carter gets treated like storyline trash. How can LSV be satisfied with this? Hope is TOTALLY IN LOVE with Carter one day. She hears the name "Liam" the next day and immediately rethinks who she's in love with. I just can't.
  8. 80% of Port Charles wants Drew dead. The anvils are dropping daily. I hope any storyline like this has Drew recovering and not dead. It would be crazy to kill off a really good villain who's despised by so many people and who is so chaotic.
  9. Yeah, I'm side-eyeing that increase. Doesn't make much sense. I'm not complaining, though. I have my doubts, but I hope that lead over B&B last in the coming weeks. Soaps like B&B and Y&R deserve to lose viewers. Since GH is so close to Y&R in the demos but so far behind in households and overall viewers, it's pretty clear that Y&R's audience is ANCIENT. I can't draw any other conclusion.
  10. -- Much better show today than yesterday. -- Hayley is beyond immature and selfish. Bill is going to see before long that she isn't for him. Making the disappearance of Bill's daughter all about her is something else. Girl is clueless. -- Every time I start to like Kat, she treats someone like crap. Her attitude, snark, and insults directed at Craig were disgusting. -- Miss Anita can be just as dismissive as Kat. I think that's where Kat gets it. She was downright rude to the FBI guy and again threw in her "WE'RE THE DUPREES!" bullsh_it. -- I'm OK with Joey owning an escort service, but can we please drop the idea that Vanessa is so on fire for him that her panties are soaked? If she's going to slut around town, make it for hot guys. -- Good scene between Naomi and Nicole, although when Naomi blamed herself, she went overboard in making it all about her. -- The actress playing Allison is just OK to me. She's not bad, but she's also not giving that element of danger. I don't really feel that Chelsea is in trouble. -- Is Bill going to be upset when he finds out Chelsea likes women? They'd better be careful if they write that story. We all know what happened to the Natalia character on GH when she showed off her homophobia. Eva LaRue never recovered.
  11. Jill and Colin divorced. She found out about all his cons and schemes, so she locked him in the attic and forced him to sign divorce papers. She made sure he had no claims to her money. Of course, Josh Griffith is garbage, so that can all be hand-waved. -- None of this "Cane sends a video message to Charlie and Mattie" resonates because they're not on screen and haven't been on screen. There's no way to care about them or about Cane. JG thinks he's writing Shakespeare when he's writing trash. -- Why is Billy Flynn dressed in that grungy t-shirt for these scenes?
  12. Really great to see Will tell his mother all about being raped. Every boy goes to his mom with his sex stories! I'm sure Katie knows his body count.
  13. They have as much chance of getting Joe Morton as they have getting Denzel Washington.
  14. -- This episode did have some old school soap vibes, but the pacing -- the lack of buildup, the lack of beats played -- was way off and hurt the overall impact of the kidnapping. -- If any other soap handled the plot this way, I think most of us would criticize it, so I'm not going to pretend this was good. -- Allison was the obvious kidnapper, and yeah, they again went with the obvious. -- Allison's descent into madness should have been played onscreen. Instead we have to say "This was her plan all along!" Do I have to pretend I've seen it the way Josh Griffith has me pretend on Y&R? -- Chelsea was chained to the bed, but that metal bed could have been easily pulled so Chelsea could reach that phone. -- I'm glad Allison and Chelsea are still in full glam even after this kidnapping ordeal. -- Allison told Chelsea "I'm not going to unalive you." No one talks this way. Is the word "kill" censored? -- Anita said "No one takes a Dupree!" Honey, a Dupree was already taken. -- They were able to have Chelsea declared a missing person an hour after she was taken. Then the FBI was called in. Still, we needed THE FIXER to show up and declare that all the gloves are off. OK then. -- I understand not showing us the launch party, but how about some crowd sound effects that make us know some big event is happening? A little activity outside the doors? -- The fashion was great. Everyone looked outstanding, and the performances were solid. I have a lot of problems with this episode, but I'm not blaming the cast for any of this.
  15. Lily's purses get bigger and bigger.
  16. Just seems nuts to me when Ava and Cody are so good together. WTH is going on?
  17. Fully agree. I think this charge against NLG is pathetic.
  18. There's rumor that the Bikini Bar is returning, but I agree -- they need a decent restaurant. Making Deacon's pizza dump bigger doesn't exactly cut it.
  19. -- I agree with all of this. The look of the show is really good, reminiscent of old school Y&R. The limite number of sets is a big problem. If B&B can double their studio square footage from 30,000 to 60,000, then something should be done for Y&R. -- Direction is fine, although the excessive number of two-person scenes gives us a loT of stagnant filming. -- This past week, I thought Sean Dominic did a great job in Nate's scenes with Audra and Devon. It's the best he's been in a while. -- The Alexander Dumas story has been so bad in so many ways, but Billy Flynn has really strong chemistry with Christal Khalil.
  20. That final scene on Friday with Will was...something. I mean, YIKES. Crew Morrow should have tried that again.
  21. A tour of the new sets at BOLD's new studio:
  22. I thought about that, too. However, the show painted Tyrell and Samantha as June's kids, and many of us thought that was too obvious -- and then the show went with the obvious. I think they're going with the obvious again, and that their red herring is not showing Allison.
  23. Dr. Marlena is usually the one with good, practical advice. Not today. She really thinks it's a good idea to LIE about who shot EJ? To "protect" Rachel when she can at anytime recover her memories of the shooting? To allow someone else to go to jail for murder when that person is innocent? Marlena, I think the death of your John played havoc with your entire system.
