  1. I just think that Dani and Bill conversation came out of nowhere. It felt like an unused scene filmed a year ago and then inserted into this week. -- An entire episode focused on Anita and Vernon having sex was too much, in my opinion. -- And the cliffhanger was going to what looked like Ted's hotel room for some afternoon delight? They live in a damn mansion. There was nothing special about that hotel. -- I hope we're about done with Jacob's tears over Derek. I always thought his friendship with Derek was because of the Naomi and Ashley connection. They never came off as blood brothers to me.
  2. I'm with you on both of those points.
  3. -- Ethan looks good. Nathan Dean is a little thicker in the middle than most soap hunks, but I'm not complaining at all. -- Maxwell Caulfield was so damn beautiful in and around his Grease 2 days. I had a major, major crush. Do yourself a favor and do a Google Images search.
  4. -- Lots of online speculation that Annika Noelle is pregnant. I don't know why they'd avoid a Hope pregnancy. Maybe they'll write it in once Annika is around six months. -- I thought Deke looked hot in that fit. Very current, and perfect for his frame. -- Will is amping up the swagger, I agree, but I also think he's much more annoying. He cannot read a room, and is stupid as all hell to think he can sucker punch the boss's son and face no consequences. -- RJ holding his stomach is still hilarious. --Ridge is the worst CEO ever. RJ insists that Will be fired, and we never hear agreement (or anything else) from Ridge. Then Ridge calls him to a meeting with a half dozen people present 😂 Who does the talking? RJ. The whole thing is a clown show. -- Electra and Dylan have girlfriend convversations like middle schoolers. None of it sounds authentic, and I keep waiting for them to play Barbies.
  5. -- I agree that photo of Derek as a firefighter did not look like him. I clocked that right away and even thought "Who is that?" -- I wasn't crazy about the Bill and Dani talk regarding Mike this week. Just seemed like something that should have been discussed and put away long ago. Was it to show Dani and Bill have unresolved feelings? Because all it did for me was cement what an awful husband Bill was and what a misogynist he is. -- I will never stop rolling my eyes and laughing at Vanessa with her fake performative grief over Doug. She's a clown, and I don't believe a word out of her mouth. -- The Impaler contacted Randy for a meeting with Joey. RANDY??? Come on. -- Leslie vs. Hayley is fun, but I wish the writers would pull back the need for every single line out of Leslie's mouth to be worthy of a bumper sticker. I don't get the need to write her as a caricature. -- I thought it worked to have the sexy talk and romance between Anita and Vernon. I also thought it was a lot to make it the focal point of the entire show, as well as the Friday cliffhanger. -- Like every other soap and every TV show and every movie, younger people were HORRIFIED to catch their elders making out, and it's always to the point of covering their eyes and hiding. Can we get ONE SHOW where they young people don't freak out like they've seen full-on boning? -- And then it got even more cliched when Kat and Martin needed strong drinks at Uptown to overcome the terrifying sight of catching their grands kissing. It's just cheap and lazy writing. -- Bound to happen I guess, but this week was just meh for me. I don't feel like the pedal was kept to the metal.
  6. Can't disagree with any of that. They'd better come up with something for Ashley and Grayson, because they're not exactly electric. Chelsea is an afterthought, and so is Madison. The problem is that even what they're given is so poorly written.
  7. -- That Nikki and Esther scene about Katherine did not work on any level. Awkward and forced. -- Also awkward and forced? Holden and Claire. They're giving us flashbacks to a sex scene that was devoid of heat and passion. Get Nathan Owens away from that energy suck! -- I have to agree with the comments here about Sharon Case. I've loved her for so many years, but this is hard to watch. -- Josh Morrow has been really great, but that O.D. scene... my God. Watching then all pretend to do something to save Nick way laughable. -- Clearly, Josh Griffith is looking for a way to keep Matt Clark on the canvas. -- Before you know it, Matt will be forgiven and Phyllis will return Newman back to Victor. -- I have no use for Victor these days, but hearing Jack tell Victoria he wants Nikki to leave her father for good was just ridiculous. Who talks that way to someone's kid? -- The only story I care about these days is Cane and Lily.
  8. -- Excepting the return of Shauna, today's episode was too much rinse & repeat. -- How late at night ar the Spencer boys supposed to be at the office? It's ridiculous. -- I don't mind the return of Wyatt, but when Bill, Liam, and Wyatt are in scenes together, I can see the acting, and that isn't a compliment. It was as performative today as it's always been. -- Will and Electra annoy me. That's all I got. -- RJ pulled the "It's me or him" card with his father when he said he wants Will to be fired. Why is that always the go-to on this show? It's happened so many times it's unreal. -- RJ did take a sock to the stomach, but we're now 3 episodes in a row with him holding his stomach and lying on the couch. Can we move on, please? -- It took a lot for me to say that, because I do love me some RJ pecs. Will? He needs to eat some protein. -- We also need a new day to get Hope out of that godawful dress from hell.
  9. Nothing about Madison is giving doctor. That's one problem. The other is that she and Chelsea talk to each other like they're in middle school.
  10. -- Why is Nicole so ANGRY about Ted nominating her as Chief of Staff? Can't she just say "Thanks, not interested"? Instead it's some personal affront. -- Dani and Bill have great chemistry, but today's conversation tells me I don't want them back together. I want Dani to have more self-respect. -- I'm glad Derek got a nice memorial service. Overall it was well done and hit the right emotions, especially with the Last Call. It was really strange that Izaiah started the tributes, and I could have done without Vanessa. -- Derek's mother and father should have been there. Instead we got too much emphasis on Ashley as the grieving widow. -- And what the heck was Eva wearing? That dress was not memorial ready 😂 -- Are we really going to continue with Jacob being this undercover cop? Because, damn, that's not working, especially since Naomi and Ashley can't keep their mouths shut. -- The Chelsea and Madison relationship seems so immature and shallow. I just don't feel any depth between them. And inviting her mother to the wedding when they're not even talking and there's this lawsuit?
  11. It is inexcusable. If we got other plot developments with Bill and Hayley while this poisoning was occurring, I might accept it, but nothing else is happening. We don't even hear from Hayley what she expects to happen with this poison. It's the same scene over and over -- and mostly in the open when she could be caught.
  12. Errol, here's what I get when I attempt to login on Chrome. As soon as I enter my username and password, they disappear and I'm returned to the same page. I have cleared my cache numerous times but that hasn't helped.
  13. My workaround on my phone for the login problem was to switch browsers for the board to Firefox, which is working well for me. I just checked Google Chrome again, and it will not allow me to sign in.
  14. -- Suddenly we've labeled the plasma story "Red Market." Only took months😂 -- Kind of hilarious to see the entire hospital nurses' station area taken over by a press conference. Good thing no one needed medical help. -- Media coverage of the press conference was lame. No questions from anyone? The few media reps just stood there taking notes of information that could've been an email. Total waste of time except that we did get a Leslie takeover. -- The writers needed to do a much better job in making Smitty's role more important in the plasma story wrap. Just what the hell was he investigating? What did he uncover? -- It's still hilarious that Leslie is "running" the free clinic. I just can't. -- Mona talking about her Type 2 Diabetes and A1C was interesting, although I half expected a Jardiance song and dance. -- I am OVER watching Ashley grieve for Derek. I'm glad to see someone from his family, but this treatment of Ashley like she's some grieving widow is a fail. -- I wish Shanice made it tougher for Ted. It feels as if she completely caved in to his smooth words and charm. I want better for her. -- I guess Jessica enjoyed sex with Tyrell so much that she'll give up going to UCLA. -- I am glad to know Jessica and Tyrell used protection and Tyrell's conversation with Martin about sex and coming out was a good one.
  15. 😂 Yes, you definitely caused a lot of conversation. I guess that can happen when the show is so meh that no one comments about it. I'm sure you know you said enough here to get yourself even more comments. 😆 I'll be unhappy, too, if Deanna has a breakdown. I want her to be a force against her trash mother, and instead we're going to get the opposite.
  16. -- The main floor of the GCAC changes on the reg. We don't get enough extras to name it seem as if the place makes money, but they move around living room furniture so characters can sit and talk. Sofas in a restaurant is nuts. -- Sets are still a problem. Today's show opened with Sally and Audra having a meeting and playing with their tablets at Crimson Lights. -- I do not care about Sally's baby. I could not care less than I do. -- I don't care about Matt Clark either.
  17. And let's not forget that Kial even gave Nicole a key to his place. None of it makes sense.
  18. So almost no comments on today's show. That says a lot about the episode.
  19. -- It is nuts that we're supposed to pretend that Leslie does all the hiring for the free clinic. What the actual hell is this? And no, Eva couldn't realistically cut her hours working for Ted in half. -- Kial and Nicole are good together, but I do think Greg Vaughan needs to make more appearances to make it work. -- That story about Kial's son was a snooze. I don't care about kids on soaps who I never see. -- Deanna at the blue wall has apparently replaced Rashad/Jacob at the brick wall. -- Leslie tells Randy she'll share anything she knows with Joey? What could she possibly have to share? I don't get it. -- I'm really disappointed we didn't return to the plasma ring story today and move towards ending it. All that craziness at the warehouse -- followed by nothing from the police, the VIPs, Jacob, Smitty, or anyone else. We also got nothing of Tyrell and Jessica. -- Weren't the police looking for Randy? He's sitting at Uptown all day in his fancy jacket. -- Instead we returned to the Hayley Poisons Bill story and Hayley meeting Randy in public. I just don't like the pacing of this stuff. Am I too harsh? Maybe, but I think a return after a charged week and a holiday weekend should have been better. -- Don't get me started on Vanessa. What a terrible mother and awful person. Every conversation detours quickly into sex -- took her about 45 seconds to get there with Nicole. Her kids? All she cares about is their relationship with Golden Corral Casino Mobster Joey. She's a disgusting ho.
  20. Come on, MontyB. I don't want to argue about this or anything else, but you know you made an indirect comment about it that wasn't subtle: That was followed by a comment that "The blog section is where all the fan fiction is," to which you responded I think you did have a negative response to those posts. All I did was say I enjoyed the post and that I know they're not for everyone. So, yes, I do think you threw some shade on the "fanfic," and all I wanted to do was to let that poster know I appreciated the ideas. I even implied I didn't want to see those kinds of posts all the time. I know I nitpick around here and that I'm not everyone's (anyone's??) idea of "fun to read." I've felt for some time that I'm not on your list of those you can't wait to hear from. You have to know you've been sending those signals. Still, I like this board, and I appreciate the diversity of ideas. I have enjoyed your posts and take on the show, and I really don't want to have beef with you or anyone else. I agree with you that fanfics shouldn't take over this board or even have any kind of presence. I did appreciate the one that was offered -- and that we had a difference of opinion on. P.S. Wait until you see my list of nitpicks from today's show! 😂 Let's hope for a good week of BTG.
  21. The hope is that with Sally as the only Executive Producer, we'll see some changes. I wonder, though, if we've already been seeing some changes for months. The show has made improvements in look and direction since the beginning of the year, so isn't it possible Sally was already functioning in that role? I think our hope is that Josh Griffith can now concentrate on writing and that the show will improve there -- where it is at its lowest. My fear is that he's already been working solely as the Head Writer for months. If that's the case, I can't be hopeful, because I haven't seen any improvements in story.
  22. @DramatistDreamer I enjoyed your plot machinations. Maybe they're not for everyone, but I think you have a lot of good ideas and I don't see a problem with a post like this. It's not as if you write them all the time.
  23. Why? I'm glad they brought it back hehe
  24. Completely agree. I normally celebrate good soap ratings, but I cringe when Y&R is up and doing well. I don't get it, and it says a lot about soap watchers, sorry to say. I realize I'm a hypocrite because I'm still (hate) watching. I agree, although Sally did an amazing job of writing characters in character. They felt real and authentic, the versions we grew up with. I enjoyed that a lot. It was all laid back and mellow, and the ratings dipped. Why then and not now, I have no idea. But when Sally's writing saw a ratings drop, they got rid of her.
