  1. I said “interesting”, people! But I suppose we all have different interpretations of that word. I just wish he had some bite to him.
  2. Can someone link me to a scene with Ed Scott's alleged production improvements? I've looked and everything looks as middling as always.
  3. Name one interesting thing about Cody. Quickly!
  4. Soaps rarely celebrate a holiday after its passed unless it was already being celebrated so I’d wager we’re skipping Thanksgiving. I’m loving Alexa as Lulu so much. Finally I can watch her play a character I don’t detest! And I really love that the first person she knows to see her is Rocco, I also love that she instantly recognized her son. She’s going to be a mess realizing it’s been 4 years and now her little boy is taller than her. Not sure about her and Cody. He’s just so boring and a real generic character. He likes horses and lied to the nicest man in the world for two years. Oh and he almost effed his cousin. Give the man a PERSONALITY! Anything! Dear god. Make him the lothario @Vee has been begging for. Really enjoyed Lucky and Liz investigating a bit together. I hope his presence gives Liz some of her spunk back. And I can already that Havins, JJ and Genie are going to gel well as a family unit, can’t wait for them to reunite. Rick Hearst needs to never leave this show again. Ric is just so scummy, I live for it. The show was drowning in benign nice people for so long, it’s been such a breath of fresh air watching people come in to stir the pot or having existing characters fall to the dark side a bit.
  5. Yet you wrote this word salad to muddy things. You always talk like you have insider knowledge yet deny it in the same breath. It's weird. Stop that.
  6. Or a new career maybe! Sorry lol I think she’s a terrible actor. That said even she deserves better than Y&R and GH. Are she and Bryton still a couple?
  7. It would be massively disrespectful to Bobbie’s memory and how hard she fought for Lucas basically his entire childhood for the show to go “well they don’t share DNA”. Not to mention how offensive it is adoptees and gay people in general frankly lol Aiden has a crush on the only other gay person he knows who also happens to be his cousin. Weird stuff. If they go there…I mean, whatever floats your boat I guess!
  8. Jason and Anna aren’t relatives. Tammy and Jonathan are also a bad example because they weren’t raised together, hell their mothers weren’t even raised together.
  9. I was never quite sold on Stefano’s obsession with Marlena but John? Absolutely. And fine, I’ll say it some of my earliest memories watching Days involved a hairy, glistening, shirtless John saving…someone from something or other? He and the show fully got my attention. Beyond his good looks he was drowning in charisma. Drake just radiated heroism and kindness and a pure love of what he was doing. There wasn’t a scene he phoned in. His chemistry with Deidre was unparalleled. I don’t think there’s actually been a sexier couple on daytime than these two and they were still bringing it well into their 60s. This loss is leaving a huge hole on the daytime landscape. John was the type of hero that simply doesn’t exist anymore and most of that affability came from Drake, an actor who was equally parts sexy leading man and loving dad. He’ll be missed.
  10. Wow so many words when “Sorry we’re weird!” would’ve sufficed. Jesus Christ.
  11. They’re COUSINS. I joked with you earlier about this but I was JOKING. A realistic suggestion of this is beyond gross.
  12. Port Charles, Loving, Passions and Santa Barbara all began their first weeks with location shoots. I hope this show continues that tradition. It would be nice to get a sense of place initially.
  13. I could have lived with the initial plots on Passions, other than Timmy and the angel/hell in a closet stuff, most of them were fairly boilerplate. No, for me it was the dialogue. It was painfully repetitive and spoke down to it's audience. There was no depth or nuance, it was just "Here is thing one. Now thing two. And here is exactly how I feel about both of those things. You will never have to question my motives or intentions because I will tell you exactly what they are." People would often compare it to the writing for a children's show but Sesame Street never made me feel stupid.
  14. This is a good point and reminds me that the young leads of a new soap are more make or break than the older cast. Think Susan Lucci as Erica, Katherine Kelly Lang as Brooke, Gillian Spencer as Viki, or a reference that isn't 40 years old (lol), Lindsay Hartley as Theresa. Passions gets a lot of flack (rightfully so and most it from me) but she carried that show on her BACK for a decade. Even when the material was [!@#$%^&*], which was often, she never was. And she was brand new to acting AND the rigors of daytime. Hearing "first new soap opera in a quarter century" is wild. I remember excitedly following the news leading up to the premiere of Passions. That was a fun summer.
  15. If you want to live with your head in the sand because you’re just happy to have a new soap opera that’s your own issue. Not mine. Anyway, I’m not arguing this with anyone. Peace ✌️
  16. I don’t know, maybe you are. I’ve seen like one image of you a decade ago. My criticism is valid and I don’t know why you’re trying to shut it down because you lighten up in the winter but that’s on you. And it’s not just skin color, it’s phenotype as well. Let’s think critically here.
  17. I know what colors we come in, Errol. And I’ve watched all three of those actors on television for years, in what world are they not lightskinned? Lmao
  18. Tamara Tunie is a huge get and speaks to the promise of the show since ATWT did her dirty and she stays booked and busy yet she’s back on daytime. DD was a great Rachel and Karla Mosley has…also been on daytime. I kid, she was pretty good when B&B let her play evil. Of course they wasted it. The only thing that gives me pause is the casting of three light skinned actors…CBS in particular seems a fan of the paper bag test BUT they all have history in daytime and are playing family so I’ll let them cook. Also love the new title and logo treatment. Big fan of soap titles that say something.
  19. Agreed. She is a solid actor who was saddled with a character the show didn’t bother to adequately redeem. Any love Babe received was ENTIRELY due to Havins performance. Babe, on paper, was a monster.
  20. Ashley Jones IN as Taylor. Why not? She looks the same age as RB and it's not like logic ever mattered on this show.
  21. Trying to get those last gasp handful of Guiding Light viewers! If Tom Pelphrey wasn't Mr. Kaley Cuoco and consistently employed they'd be knocking on his door to play Dante.
  22. Whoever decided to include that clip of Mo throwing that envelope must hate him. It looks like when you try to make a paper airplane go real fast.
